Hues of orange and yellow painted across the walls creating a warm delicate atmosphere in the room that anyone would love to wake up to.
The curtains had already been opened, allowing such a wonderful spectacle to take place. The curtains were heavy, well at least heavy enough to not be carried by the wind. Pointing to the fact that someone had opened it.
Aeryn's eyelids started to quiver. She could feel the warmth of the sun kissing her skin in her sleep. She opened her delicate green eyes only to shut them as quickly she had opened them. The bright sunlight had gotten in her eyes. She turned over to see her personal maid, Beatrix, holding a breakfast tray. Ever since she met her, she had this part of her that longed to protect her, that wanted to be with her at all costs.
She placed the tray on her bedside, bowed and gently spoke with a sweet, oddly familiar voice, "Good morning Your Highness. Breakfast is ready. Are you sure you wish to not eat with the royal family? It would help if you try to familiarize yourself with them." She hadn't met her before, and she was sure of that but...
Bea's akward cough pulled her from her line of thoughts, gently prompting her that she still hadn't responded. "Yes, my decision still stands. Don't worry. There's plenty of time for that"
"Yes, Your Highness", saying that she bowed and started for the door.
"Wait" Bea turned around, hoping she had not done anything wrong.
"Don't call me that. I'm Aeryn. Call me Aeryn."
She paused for a bit, contemplating whether she should keep speaking, eventually, the curious side of her own "Have you eaten?"
The question momentarily shocked Beatrix "Yes Your- um.. Madam Aeryn" Aeryn inwardly face palmed herself.
"Just Aeryn is fine"
"Yes, Aeryn", she uttered rather timidly. "Should I prepare you bath...Aeryn?"
Aeryn found a sense of familiarity within her words. She just couldn't put her finger on what. "No need. You can go do something else"
"And what may that be Your-... Aeryn"
Aeryn had to consider the fact that she was a personal maid. She needed to do something for her. "Um... I do need one favor. I need a notebook"
"Consider it done..Aeryn".
Aeryn wanted to tell her that she didn't need to keep repeating her name but she let the girl be. She gave her a thoughtful glance and Bea bowed and left.
