Liona thought that Erik would protest again, but it seemed that his stomach had other ideas. She wondered about that. This was the second time he was so audibly hungry that it had surprised her. She had won him over with food last time, so maybe this time it would work too.
"Um, but I doubt Jack is going to take your order though. He tried to kick you out earlier, and he fired me, so I can't go back there and hop on a register to do it for you. Plus, there's the long line of kids he's taking orders for, as my former co-workers are swamped back there trying to keep up with the orders coming in. We don't usually see a rush this bad until dinner hours, and that's usually just as I'm getting off work." Erik explained to her while they waited for her Auntie Hannah to arrive.
"Don't you worry about that. See that car that just pulled in? That's my Auntie's car. She owns this place, so soon we will have everything sorted out." Liona pointed out to Erik a car that was even more expensive than her own small car. Soon in the dim light of the parking lot lighting, she saw a tall woman with long shoulder-length sleekly styled, brunette hair, emerge and with her were three other people getting out of the car as well. "As I thought, she brought a few of my dad's men with her…" Liona grinned at Erik.
The people, with her Auntie, would look very intimidating to those not familiar with them. One had shortly cropped black hair with neon pink dyed tips that stood out against her pale skin. Her hair may have been fun, but her body language and expression meant all business. The other two with her looked rather average appearance wise, but had the same severe posture that meant authority. The three of them were none other than EEA officers from her dad's work.
In fact, since her dad must have gotten wind of this, he had sent Auntie Yui. She was the top field officer and was excellent at her job. She must be here at her dad's request, since it was agreed upon this morning that she was to treat herself and her siblings to whatever they wanted to eat to celebrate finals being over.
Normally, her dad and mom would have celebrated with them, but they were both very busy again. So, Dad had given her his credit card to use. This wasn't just any credit card. It was daddy's special card that didn't have a limit. It was completely unlike the one she had for her allowance. It was shiny and made of a special material that recognized the user based on their biometrics. She was an authorized user, but Daddy rarely ever let her use it. But since she was supposed to be celebrating the end of finals with her siblings, this meant that she could use it for whatever they wanted to eat. Contrary to a lot of peoples' thoughts, they liked eating fast food as much as the next person.
This place was her and her siblings' favorite fast-food place, as was the coffee shop near their school. Both were actually owned by their Auntie Hannah. Hannah wasn't actually their aunt, but it was an honorary title that was given since she was good friends with her family. She had grown up with her uncles and even had attended the same school she does now when she was growing up. Auntie was a business savvy person and used it to her full advantage in purchasing and running properties around the city. She had risen up and become a CEO of an important company that was in charge of managing these businesses that had started with her parents' coffee shop when she was still in college herself.
Liona knew her auntie didn't like incompetent people that couldn't do their job, so she tried to hire people with a good head on their shoulders, but it seemed this manager had slipped under the radar for too long. Especially now that she was called in personally to take care of him. Liona watched her sweep in and give orders to the two lesser field officers, who immediately swept into the back area where the office would be located.
"Liona, My Darling Niece! How are you? That awful man didn't put his hands on you, did he?" Auntie Hannah came up to her and pulled her into a hug before she looked her all over.
She laughed as she was inspected, "No Auntie, I wouldn't let scum like him touch me! I knew he was bad news from the way he kept creeping me and my friends out, but his actions today were the last straw for my patience. You saw how he acted today when I tried to place an order for my siblings and I to eat an early dinner here! How he treated my friend, Erik, right?"
"I did indeed look at the security footage when you alerted me to his nasty behavior. How someone like him flew under my radar is beyond me, which means I might need to scold the hiring manager for these locations for not properly vetting people before hiring them!" Auntie exclaimed as she looked around.
"Auntie? How come Auntie Yui is here too? Did dad send her?" Liona asked.
"Indeed. He was furious once I informed him that you were here to eat with your family and had been treated like scum beneath a shoe by the manager. He wanted to be extra sure you and your brothers and sisters were alright."
"Madame, we have secured the records, please take a look." One of the officers came over with a tablet for viewing the records on. While Auntie Hannah was looking at that, Liona looked over at Erik. He looked nervous in the presence of the EEA officers and kept looking at them out of the corners of his eye.
"Hey, are you alright, Erik?"
"Ye-yeah. Just not used to seeing important people in a place like this." His stomach also gurgled loudly again, she noted. His expression turned to that of embarrassment as he tried to look away from her.
"Hold on." Liona said before turning to her Aunt Hannah again. "Auntie, that manager tried to fire Erik, and he hasn't even had the opportunity to get his lunch, let alone dinner yet. He said he had to listen to him, even though you told me he wasn't fired. Would you tell him that yourself? I don't think he will be reassured unless you say something."
"Hmm? Oh! This is the efficient and superbly rated young man that was recently brought on! Why hello there, Mr. Norman! Or do you prefer to go by Erik? I'm Hannah Dermott and I own this restaurant as well as many other dining establishments around town. I see that you work for two of my businesses. You have a decent work record at both, and you are highly praised by your co-workers. Your employee rating is through the roof in terms of customer satisfaction and work capability. Your streamlined efficiency has spoken well of your skill in such a short amount of time! Goodness, you are not fired in the least! Not with ratings such as yours! Now come here, and see this…"
Aunt Hannah gestured to the device in her hands, "This is your evaluation from your first two weeks on the job. Normally these are just for my eyes, but I'll share your record with you so that you can see that your excellency has had an effect on others!" Auntie Hannah proceeded to praise Erik and show that since he started working at this location, that employee morale has gone up overall as well as customer satisfaction.
"Wow, I didn't think I did all that much!" Erik sounded surprised and looked embarrassed.
"Yes, I'd say you have the makings of becoming a fine leader, in your future! Keep it up and you'll make manager soon! In the meantime, I see that records have been falsified and you as well as the other employees aren't getting the pay you are owed! Tsk!" Auntie clicked her tongue at the information that she was reading over after showing Erik his evaluation.
"Yui? Be a dear and arrest that man, Jack, for embezzlement, sexual harassment of omega minors, falsifying records, and for interruption of business operations!" Auntie Hannah asked.
"Gladly, Hannah. Scum like this man, putting his hands on young omega? Disgusting!" Yui got a wicked glint to her eye and grabbed Jack, who was an alpha, and pulled his arms behind his back to cuff him.
"YOU CAN'T ARREST ME! I'VE DONE NOTHING WRONG! LOOKING AT FINE YOUNG OMEGA GIRLS ISN'T AGAINST THE LAW!" Jack shouted as he struggled in Yui's iron tight grip.
"It is when you actually put your filthy hands on them! There are videos and witness testimony that you have sexually harassed several omega minors on this property.
