Chereads / Fate/Independence[COMPLETED] / Chapter 49 - Ch 49

Chapter 49 - Ch 49

The reality distorted once more, everything turned white.

Only three beings existed there. Two of them are Gigantic while one of them is small like an Ant in front of the Gigantic Godly beings.

Cael, The Great Old One, Cthulhu and Goddess of Creation, Nammu.

"Even if you belonged to outer gods, you decided to pledge allegiance to Earth. As such, harming my blessed one in the name of Outer Gods is something I cannot tolerate"

Cthulhu seeing the Goddess had already expected her intervention when he sensed her blessing on Cael. He decided to Negotiate

"He is marked by me before you blessed him. He also harmed my worshipper and stopped my summoning into reality twice until now. I forgave him for that, all he had to do is serve me"

Goddess Nammu didn't budge "That doesn't concern my interests, you shall leave him alone. I blessed him, as such he's not yours"

Goddess Nammu's divine power surrounded the Great Old One just an inch away from touching him.

"I order you as the Goddess of Earth. You shall never harm him nor shall you influence him from now on to all eternity"

Cthulhu felt his divinity suppressed due to the Goddess's tremendous influence as she's the Goddess of Earth, this is especially her domain.

He's also weaker compared to her as his Great Old One self is now in allegiance to earth, which made him a Divine spirit, unlike his true self which is his Outer God Self that exists in the Void.

However,  he still couldn't give up on Cael.

"Very well, If he will not exist on this side of the world. I shall never intervene with this Blasphemer for all the Eternity"

Cael felt the madness vanish. However, Watching the two strongest Gods he's known till now talking about their control over his life, he felt so insignificant and powerless.

All the Magecraft he knew till now is meaningless in front of the Gods in front of him.

The only Ace up to his sleeve turned out to be the power that is not his but the blessings of Outer Gods.

'You can only trust the power you obtained yourself, the True Magic is the only power I can believe in'

Cthulhu left the place leaving the rotten body of Haleth, Only Nammu and Cael were left in the white dimension.

"My blessed one, Cael. Leave the reverse side and fulfill your task. Don't worry, No God can influence reality where humans reside without existing there "

Cael vanished from existence with the final words of Goddess Nammu.

Goddess Nammu announced to Oziran that Cael has saved it from the threats. She also gave them the Light of Alakazam she found in the body of Haleth making Oziran, Once again a safe place.

Cael warped himself to his Reality marble which exists Outside of the World.

He looked at the huge cosmos with blank eyes.

He felt so weak in front of Godly beings. Compared to them, the Heroic spirits are a joke.

He understood why Divine spirits need to be weakened severely for them to descend as heroic spirits.

The powerlessness from being in the presence of True Gods made him feel insignificant.

He thought he transcended humanity yet, he realized he had the same shackles humans have.

Weakness and powerlessness.

Not making him much different from humans.

That's not the end of troubles.

'If I enter the reality of Earth, I will be fucked by counterforce. On the reverse side of Earth, I will be fucked by the Gods. So, I'm Fucked Either Way. I have no other way to enter into Earth as 'myself' anymore'

Cael contemplated for a while, he found everything to be useless.

No matter how strong his magecraft was, it didn't make him feel strong.

He is still shackled.

'Just why am I doing all this? This power didn't save me... I want to just end this'

He deactivated his regeneration from his Ichor and Halo of resurrection.

Cael summoned his staff, it is the strongest weapon he possesses.

The moment he summoned it, the staff produced a Magic cube sealing Cael inside of it.

The cube shrinks till Cael fits in perfectly leaving no room for movement.

All the 22 homunculus are summoned surrounding the Cube in which Cael's body froze.

On the reverse side of the world

Everyone is celebrating the victory, meanwhile, a certain Half-Elf is sitting on the edge of the Island looking out at the scenery.

Vaeri seeing Zidikle sitting on the edge of the island accompanied her.

"Thinking about your life-long partner?"

Zidikle hummed, then as if she remembered something. She said to Vaeri "I think Haleth will come back somehow"

Vaeri just laughed it off "You don't know how to sweet talk Zidikle, it's not your style"

"I just wanted to make you happy.."

"Reality is, Haleth is gone"

Vaeri said looking at the sunset with bright eyes.

"Then, why are you? I mean, you-"

"Don't look sad? No, I have seen something beautiful. Cael sent me the memories of his fight with Haleth."

Vaeri continued "Haleth made his choice, which I may disagree with but personally, I feel his love. He loved me more than he loved anything"

"He fought for me till the end, I don't think I will ever find love like that but I want to honor Haleth's sacrifice by living and enjoying my life more with someone closer to me, like you and our squad"

"I'm not sure I will be there though"

"Right, you loved adventures. I think you are ready Zidikle. I have seen you on the battlefield"

"...I will stay here for now. I chose Cael as my partner, we decided to travel together but he said, he has something to do and promised me, he will take me once he's done"

"You think he will return?"

Zidikle has no trace of doubt as she replied with a hand on her stomach "Yes, he will come for us"

In a lone mansion on a planet surrounded by the cosmos.

A lab-like room has a huge glass tube in the middle of it which is filled with liquid.

A body is suspended with many cables connected to it inside the liquid.

Surrounding the glass tube are many devices both electrical and magical along with many women working together.

"What are the signs of life?"

"Vitals are perfectly alright"

"Any damage to the psyche?"

"No, but there is an anomaly"

"What is it?"

"The psychic wave is heavily disconnected with brain waves"
