"Shut up, pant-less!"
Alya indifferently pointed her weapon at the slime man. "Now, are we gonna battle or not?"
Sorbo was a bit taken aback by Alya's calm demeanor. He had initially thought Alya would be plunged into despair when her companion had fallen, yet, here she was, acting as confident as ever.
#Your friend is really dead, you know?#
"Idiot talk." Alya held back the trembling in her heart as she swung down her weapon at Sorbo's head.
Sorbo moved to the side, easily dodging the attack. He'd expected Alya to be left unguarded because of the heavy weighted weapon, however no sooner had the weapon hit the ground than her right fist slammed straight into its chest, sending the slime man flying.
BOOM!
"That brat's not dead." Alya placed her weapon on her shoulder and called, "Are ya punk?!"
As Sorbo stopped its body from skidding across the ground, its stomach suddenly started to glow white, as if to answer Alya's question.
#???# Sorbo was confused as to how Nebula was still alive. Her body was getting digested very slowly.
"She's almost as strong-headed as I am so there's no way she'll just die like that."
#Is that so?# Sorbo's killing aura mixed in with his words, increasing its effect.
Before she even knew it, Alya was shot across the province like a soccer ball, from post to post; a long distance.
#Talk! You're all talk! I'll make sure to break you both, if it's the last thing I do!!!# Sorbo declared, jumping after her.

"Hold on, Alya." Imran was standing in front of a seven meter tall and three meters wide stone tablet, with a rectangular gadget shooting net like lasers at it, in his hands.
He had secretly attached a wire on Alya to monitor the situation of the surface. And now that he knew his original theories were ineffective, he just hoped the translator he had been working on would be able to decipher the ancient language on the tablet.
*Kraa!* BANG!
The large stone door behind him opened as Alya walked in, treading to his side. "Any luck?" She asked.
Imran clenched his teeth as he stared at the tablet with anticipation. He had been messing with this tablet since he was five years old, and couldn't even get it to reveal its secrets, after all of the years.
But now, Imran had had enough with putting up with the stinginess of whoever wrote down the text, and today, he was sure he'd crack the mysterious language the tab depicted.
Aisha placed her hand on his shoulder for a bit of moral support, a 'bit', compared to the immense worry that plagued his heart. But Imran still managed to give her a warm smile.
*Beep* *Beep*
Hearing the notification sound, the two turned to the tablet as it had finished it's scan.
"... What?" Imran's pupils shook as he read the translation of the scriptures on his tab. "Why is this here?"
———
BOOM!
Massive shockwaves terrorised the streets of Ogmore as the slime and woman traded blows. However, as the fight dragged on, Alya's chances of winning started to thin.
The more she hit Sorbo, the more its body hardened, and on top of that, it seemed to be increasing its strength abnormally as time passed.
Its gradually increase in strength was probably due to it still assimilating its core. The core was enormous, and it would take a while before it fully digested it. So until it reaches top shape, it would keep growing in strength.
'So I just have to beat it before then... or...'
Alya squatted and swiped one of her legs at the slime's, tripping it and then swung her weapon upwards.
CLANG!
The sound of metal hitting against metal sounded as Sorbo was batted into the air.
Alya jumped from the ground, reaching even higher heights than the flying Sorbo.
She spined her body horizontally, creating a circle of wind at the edge of her weapon as she held it to the side.
BOOM!!!!!
Her weapon suddenly shot out with a crazy amount of force, ripping through the atmosphere and crackling with purple sparks.
The slime used its arms to block its head, bracing for the impact of the lightning fast weapon, however, as soon as the weapon met its arms, it pressed into it, turning the black slime's hand into black splash and then pushing into its head, sending it back to the ground.
Its skin that had the hardness of metal was made into butter by the strength of Alya's attack.
As she fell, Alya called back her weapon.
#You... You're not very smart, are you?# Sorbo's body regenerated even faster than before.
#The more you hit me, the harder I become, but that still doesn't stop you? Aren't you thinking straight?#
"I am." Alya landed with a bang. She was already getting used to hearing Sorbo's voice.
"I'll keep hitting you till you're so hard, you can only break."
Sorbo stood up from the ground as he listened to the woman. #Till I can only break, huh? That's not going to work, you brainless gorilla.#
"We'll see, you pant-less, freaky, prevert." Alya said with a straight face.
'... I'll just beat you up till you're in top shape, and then beat you up.' She smirked.
BOOM!!!
Alya lunged at the slime again.
While they were fighting, Sorbo kept wondering how it was that Alya could be able to use her weapon in such a way that she was. The strength of each of her swings were such that they would create long gashes on the ground as soon as they met it.
It was destructive and very, very heavy, albeit thin looking. And yet, Alya was able to swing such a weapon without allowing it to affect her speed.
As she made one swing with her weapon, other parts of her body would move to attack or defend her till she could grab full hold of the weapon and strike again. She would use her right fist, right elbow, knees and feet, along with her weapon that was like another limb to fight. This fighting style of hers was the reason Sorbo kept getting beat up even though he was now a little stronger than she was.
This fighting style Alya was using was developed by her ancestors, the Bladefields. Its name was 'Great Blade Human: The art of seven limbs.' It required the user to have a heavy weapon that had a deep bond with them.
Most of those bonds were gained through hellish training with said weapon, but Alya, already having a weapon from deep within her soul didn't really need to go through much hardship to fully master the technique.
So throughout their generation, Alya had shown the most potential in using this special technique, she was an embodiment of it; she had become the dance itself, and not the dancer.
As Sorbo threw a punch at her, Alya blocked it with her elbow, stretched that hand to catch its arm and then pulled it towards her, slamming the slime man into the ground, stumping on its head and then slamming her flame coated weapon at its head, cracking it open.
'This dude's getting even stronger now, but it's still not enough to...' Her eyes went down to the slime's glowing stomach with a drop of cold sweat sliding down her face.
'... Oops. I almost forgot.' She totally forgot.
"Alya!" She suddenly heard Imran's voice in her ears.
"What are you doing hacking into my buds, you piss head?"
The slime threw her body away from his, into the sky.
"I... I'm sorry to ask this but... Can you lead Sorbo to the underground temple?"
"Huhn?" Alya swiped her weapon at it in mid air, however the slime man just punched hard at it, bouncing back the hit.
"I know its not safe because of how close the temple is to the underground base but, I have a plan to beat it!" Imran pleaded.
"... You've figured out the language? Does it say how to defeat this guy?"
Alya was starting to see logic in ending their fight soon, as the slime man's strength was suddenly rising rapidly.
"I have deciphered the text but... you should come see for yourself."
Without giving an answer, she activated one of her skills, a skill that involved the proper usage of her board-like weapon.
[Royal Handled Guillotine]
Spreading her arms, she held both handles of the board like weapon and shoved the sharp side of it down at the slime's chest.
BOOM!!!!!!!!!
Although the weapon was close to the slime's chest, the pressure that had gathered at the length of the blade was so immense, the wind was already pressing into the slime before the weapon even touched it.
And when the blade finally reached the slime, it cut through with little resistance, allowing the brunt of the attack to cause a massive horizontal gash in the ground, that stretched up to fifty meters and reaching the depths of ten into the ground.
The earth rumbled at the force of her attack, and massive shockwaves that swept flat on the ground spread around, clearing completely, their battlefield. Not much dust was even spared.
The strength and sharpness the skill allowed, made such a line in the ground, it was as if a giant's guillotine had been used to execute the slime man instead.
Execute — a part of her word glossary as the name of her weapon itself was, [The Decapitation Board] and its second form (one it transformed into when she first blew up the slime ball), was an even bigger execution tool.
As the slime man started to regenerate again, Alya placed her hand on the ground, pouring her energy into it. Soon a wide red magic circle appeared below them, teleporting their bodies away.
'This better work.'
———
From above the battlefield, a man with red and yellow hair descended.
"Hm? Why do you want to go? What do you think you can do to that thing at your current state?"
A man slipped down from Buster's back, almost tumbling down because of how weak his body was at that moment.
Looking at the red spots that had shown up around his body due to internal bleeding, the black clothed man clenched his fist.
'That thing's trying something funny. Why the heck is Nova's soul string in its stomach?' The man staggered as he walked slowly to the point where Alya and Sorbo had disappeared.
"What can I do to it?" Asher asked Buster's question as he walked alongside him.
"I can put a bullet... in its chest."
But... would it do anything?
