Eudora sat on the velvet throne and watched the nobles dancing with each other to celebrate the wedding. She had her head hung low and was in low spirits after messing up her first dance with Arthur. She stepped on his foot multiple times and she felt embarrassed about it. She had been ballroom dancing for all her life yet she managed to mess up.
There were only a few minutes left before they would head to the bedroom.
She felt more nervous than ever.
Were they about to do it…?
Eudora turned to Arthur.
He had broad shoulders. Curly black hair and brilliant green orbs. When she was dancing with him, she briefly felt his firm chest. Now Eudora sat there, blushing as many unholy scenarios flashed in her mind.
It wouldn't be a shame if her first time was with him.
Arthur was no fool. He knew that Eudora was staring at him. He had an idea of what she was thinking about. He placed her hand in his and held her hand tightly. It was his way of reassuring her and offering help.
And it was time.
Arthur and Ivan stood up and held out a hand for their wives to take. The two newlywed couples went into their bedrooms.
Eudora sat down on the bed while Arthur locked the door.
Arthur took off the crown and the veil. Eudora waited for him to do something but he didn't. He took off her jewelry quietly.
" You can go to the bathroom first."
Eudora went into the bathroom swiftly. She locked the door and got into the bathtub. A million thoughts were going in her head and she sat there for a little too long. Arthur got worried and knocked on the door.
Eudora snapped out of it and quickly got out of the bathtub and slipped into a warm and cozy bathrobe after taking off her heavy wedding dress. She went to open the door in a rush while tying her bathrobe. She opened the door but slipped and fell forward. She landed on Arthur's warm chest. She stared at him and he stared at her.
" We are not going to do anything you are uncomfortable with. I'm willing to wait until you are ready to consummate the marriage or if you don't want to at all, we won't." Arthur said in a gentle voice.
" No...it's that we got married so suddenly and I don't even know you properly. I want to get to know you first…" Eudora said meekly.
Arthur chuckled, " We have plenty of time to get to know each other. Now go to bed. You must be tired. That wedding dress and jewelry must have been really heavy."
Eudora nodded and Arthur patted her head before going into the bathroom.
She stood frozen for a while before heading into the vast closet to pick out a nightgown. She chose a soft pink one and went to bed. She was indeed very tired. Tomorrow she would have to wake up at the crack of dawn to go to attend the royal court with Arthur.
She was...a Crown Princess Consort now.
There was no such thing as becoming a Crown Princess Consort in her life plans
