When the applause subsided, she asked, "What did you say back then? I can't hear you properly," she said, but he remained silent and smiled. She couldn't understand why he was doing this, but she didn't ask further and smiled back. They bowed, and a man who looked similar to Adrien stood up, capturing everyone's attention. He took the microphone and said, "I am really honored that I have a son like him. I wish you a great and happy future, my son," raising his wine glass. The speech received applause, and the spotlight was on Adrien, standing right beside me. "Thank you, father. I hope to make you proud in the future too," he said with a soft smile. After that, someone called them for pictures with reporters. Adrien's father made some eye gestures, and he got the point. "I will be back," he whispered in Ember's ear. "Sure," Ember said with a smile on her face. She knew how important the function was for him and his family.
While the pictures were being taken, a waiter approached Ember, offering her some drinks as the server. When Ember took the glass, her eyes met Adrien's, and he expressed not to take the drink. So Ember put it back on the tray, saying, "Thank you for offering, but I don't drink." She stood alone in the crowd, knowing he was busy. The snacks bar was open, and she couldn't resist the sweet aroma. Rushing to the snacks bar, she picked up what she wanted on her plate and looked back at Adrien. He was still busy, so she took her fully delighted plate to the balcony where she was before with Adrien, enjoying the sweet dishes with the beautiful full moon view.
She was interrupted by a girl saying, "Hello, so you are the one Adriencan dance with," with sharp eyes. Does she know Adrien? Why is she calling him like that? Adrien never mentioned any girl before, ember think and reply, "Yes, but it's not Adrien-can; his name is Adrien," Ember said, getting more comfortable in her chair. "Hey, you are getting arrogant," the girl said. "I am not, but you are. Okay, let's do it from the start. Hello, my name is Ember. I am an old friend of Adrien. May I know who you are?" she said, extending her hand for a handshake. "I am Cloi, and I am a childhood friend of Adrien. We even studied in the same school," she said, folding her arms around her chest. Ember withdrew her hand and said, "Is there anything you want from me?" with an annoyed look. "Yes, Adrien is mine, so don't even try to get closer to him. I am warning you," she said, bumping her shoulder with Ember's and leaving the balcony.
"Wow! How did I get this bad image on the first encounter with someone? I thought I would get a warm welcome on the first day , but I didn't expect someone to get jealous of me on the first day I appear," she sat back with a deep breath. She was about to take her next bite when the cold breeze made her shiver. "Oh no, it's too cold outside. I think I am freezing," she said, rubbing her arms. A coat on her shoulder made her more comfortable. "What a relief," she said, but after a moment, she realized she wasn't wearing any coat. She turned to see whose it was. "Adrien," she said when she found out he was the one who put the coat on her. "What are you doing here? You will freeze out in the balcony," he said in anger, and Ember could feel it, but she smiled silly and said, "Thank you for your coat, Adrien."
"Okay, let's get inside, or you will die here," Adrien said with a hidden smile on his face, but Ember could feel it. "Sure," she said with a chuckle. She stood still for a moment; her legs got numb, and she wobbled when she stood. Adrien supported her by embracing her, but she couldn't walk properly—wobbling and shivering at the same time. He picked her up bridal style. "Hey, wait?" Ember said in amusement. "What?" Adrien replied with his cold look. She could feel that saying anything about his actions wouldn't work, but she said something sillier, "Can I take my delicious plate with me, please?" with her cute puppy eyes. "I will make this available in your room, okay," Adrien said, with his ears turning red.
