"Auntie! Uncle's fingers moved!"
Richelle Dunn quickly called out to Maggie Mitchell.
Maggie turned around abruptly, staring in disbelief at Kennedy Green's hand.
Both of them held their breath, their four eyes fixed on those few fingers.
Richelle felt like she could hear her own pounding heartbeat. Time seemed to stand still, and after an unknown period, Kennedy's middle finger moved slightly again.
"Mr. Green, you're finally listening to me!"
Maggie, excited, grabbed Kennedy's hand and buried her face in his palm, yelling out in excitement.
You heartless man, making me worry for so long! And making Roy Lewis and Richelle suffer for so long because of you."
Richelle left the ward to the agitated Maggie and went to find Mr. Chapman to arrange equipment and personnel to give Kennedy a thorough examination.
When everything was arranged, she returned to the ward. Outside the door, she could still hear Maggie's murmuring voice.
She stopped and sat down in a nearby chair.
