Having come to these realizations, Roy Lewis felt an overwhelming sense of compassion.
"Richelle, I want to make a suggestion."
Richelle Dunn was still engrossed in the melancholic ambience of the movie they'd just watched, her head propped in her hands as she watched the dazzling street views from the window absentmindedly.
"Go on..."
Roy noticed that her mind seemed elsewhere and refrained from speaking further. Instead, he reached out and played with her curls while they were waiting at a red light.
"Still feeling down?"
He didn't expect that a movie would make her shed so many tears.
"Mhm, actually, the movie's atmosphere was alright, I just...miss my parents..."
Roy gently stroked her face, "When the kids are on summer vacation, let's go visit them, okay?"
