Chapter 12 - Did He Hug You?

The Crown Prince was about to reprimand him, but he spoke first,

"If you want to test it, you can test it all at once. When I bought this set of silverware, I didn't know that it could detect poison so well.

"If I meet the silverware seller again, I will definitely buy more. It would be best to give a set to the Empress Dowager for her birthday."

When the Crown Prince saw that Jun Jiuji had also agreed to the poison test, he immediately shut his mouth.

The group of people left the Frozen Snow Pavilion and went to the hall of the General Manor.

After General Ye knew of the Crown Prince's intentions, he simply had people inform a few officials he had personal relations with, and then had people invite the people from the Imperial Academy of Medicine such as Associate Chief Rong and Associate Chief Hong.

The poison appraisal meeting began in General Manor.

Ye Yining was a little frustrated when there were more people at home.

She hadn't eaten much the whole day, and now that she had been delayed for so long, she was hungry.

She really wanted to eat something!

Just as she was thinking, a ball of white mist appeared in front of her. Above the white mist was a purple jade plate. On the purple jade plate was an exquisite white steamed bun.

"Master, the kitchen only has flour, so the kitchen spirit made steamed buns." Ling Gui spoke at the right time.

Ye Yining looked around. Seeing that no one was paying attention to her, she walked out and quietly took the steamed bun that had been following her out of the white fog. She took a bite.

The steamed bun tasted excellent. It was as soft as a cloud and carried a hint of nature's fragrance. It was the most delicious steamed bun she had ever eaten.

She couldn't help but order the Chef Spirit to make more steamed buns.

Just as she was thinking about how to bring the steamed buns in for her parents and Jun Jiuji, Madam Ye walked in.

"Ye Yining, you haven't eaten much all day. Why don't you go to the kitchen and eat something before coming back?"

"Alright."

Ye Yining glanced at the hall full of people and turned to the kitchen.

The kitchen had already prepared the dishes early in the morning, so the moment Ye Yining went over, the chef immediately served her four dishes and a soup.

Ye Yining looked at the dishes on the table and used her consciousness to ask Ling Gui,

"Chef Spirit, can you teach me how to make steamed buns?"

"Master, feel free to cook. If the Chef Spirit has cooked something once, Master will have a memory of it with her spiritual sense."

"Is that so? Let me try."

Ye Yining stopped eating and washed her hands. She took out some flour and prepared to knead the dough.

The cook was a little flustered, afraid that the Young Miss would harm the kitchen.

Just as she was thinking about how to stop the girl from being a nuisance, she saw that the young miss had already deftly made up. She immediately swallowed the words that were about to come out of her mouth.

Ye Yining was surprised.

She obviously didn't know how to make steamed buns, but at this moment, it was as if she had been enlightened by a god. Every step was easy to understand and smooth.

The cook watched from the beginning to the end. The initial worry slowly turned into a smile.

The Young Miss who hadn't cooked for five years seemed to have been enlightened.

After all, she was about to get married. She knew how to spend her time on cooking.

Ye Yining took the opportunity to bring some oil, salt, sauce, and vinegar into the kitchen of the Medicine Spirit Immortal Residence while she was steaming the buns.

Considering that there were too many things missing in the kitchen of the Yaoling Immortal Residence, she planned to go shopping on the street the next day.

After the steamed buns were done, she left two for the cook before taking them to the hall.

As soon as she reached the door, Jun Jiuji came over and took the slightly heavy food box from her hand.

"Have you eaten?" Jun Jiuji asked softly.

"I ate a steamed bun. I made the steamed buns here. Try them."

Ye Yining opened the food box and looked at him expectantly.

Jun Jiuji glanced at her and reached out to take a delicately made steamed bun.

He took a bite, and a hint of admiration appeared in his eyes.

The taste of the steamed bun was much better than he had imagined. It was soft and delicious, and it was slightly sweet. The texture could be considered a pleasant surprise.

"Is it delicious?"

Ye Yining had never tasted the steamed buns she made before, so she didn't know how different the taste was from the ones made by the Chef Spirit.

Jun Jiuji's eyes lit up as he smiled and said,

"Delicious. Give these to me!"

Ye Yining had personally made it, so he didn't want to share it with anyone else.

Ye Yining blinked.

"My parents haven't eaten yet!"

"They don't have time to eat yet."

"Then I'm not full either!" Ye Yining also reached out and took a steamed bun.

After taking a bite, she nodded slightly.

The taste was almost the same as the one made by the Chef Spirit!

However, she took much longer than the Chef Spirit.

The two of them stood outside and ate the steamed buns one bite at a time. The atmosphere was warm.

When Ye Yunjiao came out, she saw this scene.

Seeing how harmonious Ye Yining and Jun Jiuji were, she felt an indescribable jealousy in her heart.

A wave of evil thoughts assaulted her, and the words that came out of her mouth didn't go through her brain.

"Sister, last year on the Mid-Autumn Festival night, when Brother Mo carried you back, didn't you say that you would never eat steamed buns again?"

Ye Yunjiao wanted to sow discord between the two, but she didn't expect her words to directly anger Jun Jiuji.

His cold gaze swept over, and Ye Yunjiao instantly experienced what it meant to be frozen three feet.

She felt like all the blood in her body was about to freeze.

How terrifying!

Fortunately, the next moment, Jun Jiuji's gaze returned to Ye Yining.

"He hugged you?"

Jun Jiuji's voice was mixed with a hint of hostility. His voice was cold and stern.

Ye Yining didn't want to be misunderstood. She shook her head without thinking.

"No. Last year, Mo Huanchong carried Su Yu 'er back on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Su Yu' er was cold, so she borrowed my clothes to wear. Ye Yunjiao must have seen wrongly."

Ye Yunjiao was about to defend herself when Jun Jiuji suddenly waved his palm and sent her flying.

"Those who slander Ye Yining are unforgivable."

Jun Jiu's words were filled with warning, his eyes were filled with rage, and he attacked without mercy.

Ye Yunjiao, who had been sent flying, hit the wall and bounced back. In the end, she crashed into Su Yu 'er, who had just heard the commotion and ran out.

"Ah…"

The two of them collided heavily.

The entire General Manor heard two sharp and terrified screams.

Even Ye Yining was shocked.

What was different from before was that she no longer felt that Jun Jiuji was ruthless.

She knew that he was protecting her.

The people in the hall who were busy examining the poison heard the sound and quickly ran out. The scene was a little chaotic.

However, when they found out that Ye Yunjiao had slandered Jun Jiuji and was punished by him, no one dared to say anything.

Only the Crown Prince said,

"Ninth Brother, what's there to be unhappy about? You have to give face to General Ye. Ye Yunjiao is a girl after all. Moreover, you've implicated Miss Su."

Jun Jiuji didn't give the Crown Prince any face. His voice was cold and icy,

"Benwang has always followed his nature. If Crown Prince Imperial Brother wants to blame someone, blame her for coming out at the wrong time. She didn't come out earlier or later, but she had to come out when this king was teaching people a lesson. If Imperial Brother's heart aches for that Miss Su, he can bring her back to the palace to coax her."

The Crown Prince's expression changed.

"I was just saying."

"It's best if you don't interfere. If what Ye Yunjiao said was true, I would definitely chop off Mo Huanchong's hands and feed them to the dogs."

The Crown Prince opened his mouth and his voice went hoarse.
