Chereads / the revenge of the Nephilim / Chapter 19 - chapter 18

Chapter 19 - chapter 18

You know life was great for Ethan. He hadn't even thought about the angels, or anyone else.

His main priorities were the humans since he was once a human too. He... Found enjoyment in helping humans, even going out of his way to do so.

Now that doesn't mean he was forsaking his universe, no he was showing favor to each. Never being biased, but always lending a helping hand to those in need.

...

I sat at a cafe in the human world. I had a blindfold over my eyes so I didn't scare the children that I came across.

I wore a black suit, mainly because I liked the style. But to be honest I looked pretty good in it.

I was currently talking to an old cod veteran. He used to be on top of the leaderboards, but he stopped playing after a long while.

I was convincing him to try and play the game once more. Since he kicked my ass as a kid. It was a core memory.

Needless to say, I watched him pull back into the gaming world. Bought him a PS3, and a PS5 with lots of games.

Needless to say after a couple of months, I saw his name back in the leaderboards.

The return of iseekanddestroy.

...

My body twisted as I dodged a spear, before a rolled as the spear tried to attack me from above.

"This is getting old Michael," I said as I redirected another one of her blows.

"Silence abomination," said Angel as she began attacking with the intent to kill.

I punched her windpipe, but she didn't get winded much. So I did the only thing I knew. I redirected her spear and punched her boobs.

That worked like a charm. The next second I did what any reasonable man would do.

I put a slave collar on her neck. This slave collar was of my design, so it would kill Micheal if she got too over her head.

"Not... Fair... You punched my boob," Micheal said.

I put my hand on her chin and made her face look up and looked her in her eyes. Which... Technically I can't do it since I don't have eyes.

"You've been hunting me billions of years Micheal. I hurt no one who didn't deserve it, but you know what I'm tired. I just wanted to settle down and maybe, MAYBE, start a family.

But noooo, you had to send all of heaven out looking for me. And I'm sick of it. So now, I'm going to do what I should have done back then...,"

....

I opened a cafe. What you thought I was going to kill her? Nah, too troublesome. I did make Micheal wear a maid dress, and changed the slave collar to look like a choker but meh.

I have to say, she was cute in a way. But anyways, she took the orders and the payment and I made the best damn drinks in the world.

Micheal gave me the silent treatment though. Mmmm, but I guess that's fair.

But it's nice to have some eye candy in my shop though. Even though her personality is shit... She had other features going for her.

I made sure she got everything she needed though. Food, water, shelter, and somewhat her dignity.

"You know why did you betray me?" I asked. I was seated in my chair drinking my tea, and Micheal was sitting across from me eating.

"Because you an abomination. Nephilim are to be destroyed, it's the will of God," for the first time she spoke to me.

I nodded my head before raising an eyebrow.

"If I was such an abomination why didn't God destroy me already," I said.

"Don't think highly of yourself abomination. Father doesn't interfere with mortal matters," she sneered.

I looked at her face and leaned forward. I gently put my hand against her cheek and gently rubbed my thumb against her chin.

"You know, if it wasn't for that personality of yours, I would definitely have dated you," I said before softly smiling.

While she was a bit stunned I took that chance to take a bit from the food on her fork.

"Hey that was mine," she said before hogging her plate of food.

I had a big grin, and there was a small smile on her face.

"Mmmm... Say, why did you use... "That weapon" on my eyes," I asked curiously.

Micheal got fidgety, and her wings flapped nervously.

"Would you believe me if I say I had no part in that?" She said.

I looked at her and noticed she had been truthful. I mean she couldn't lie anyways since the slave collar prevents her from doing so.

"I do... Would make sense too, since you weren't there anyway. I had to say, hurt like a bitch," I said and she calmed down a bit and went back to eating.

"...it wouldn't have worked anyway... If you can survive getting impaled by MY spear, you are unkillable... Which should be impossible. Since nothing has survived my spear," Micheal said.

"Yeah, I could regrow my eyes if I wanted. But I spent billions of years without them. My blindfold is a way I keep my powers in check and because... It hides my missing eyes," I said.

We sat in silence for a while, a surprisingly comfortable silence.

"... Being a human isn't so bad," Micheal said.

I let off a soft chuckle.

"Yeah, it's really not. That's why I like to help humanity," I said as I drank my tea again.

Micheal looked at my cup and raised an eyebrow.

"...are you using time to refill your cup?" She asked.

"Yes. Yes, I am."

"...so I was worried about you destroying everything in existence when you just use your powers for... This? God's your unbelievable," Micheal put her face in her hands.

Then she leaned back and laughed. A genuine laugh. No other plots, just a laugh.

"You know... You look beautiful when you laugh like that," I said a small smile on my face.

"...fuck you," she said.
