"En" was all what the male lead responded to Kate as he snuggled his face more into her lap.
Kate smiled gently as she looked at this guy who very much resembled her cat, but then the content of her words, which left her lips, was not so gentle anymore, even though her voice remained in the same tone.
"Who are you?" Kate asked, her dark eyes flickering slightly as she lowered her head to come nearer to his face.
"How did you get into this room despite the tight security? Are you perhaps... an assassin?" Kate teased the big guy on her lap, even though she knew too well that he was not an assassin.
She just wanted to tease him and see his reaction.
But she did not expect Xue Ling's reaction to be so strong.
As the male lead in her lap widened his eyes after hearing those words, his lips opened as he hastily said, "I'm Xue Ling, and no! I'm not an assassin!"
