Athena walk Modi around the gallery. Modi met some of the greatest gods from the land, such as Apollo his sister Artemis. Athena hands him a drink, until he's slapped on the back by the god of war, who looks happy to see him.
"Haha, what a battle! I've never had a fight that good since I faced Hercules," Ares congratulates the god. "And what a display of power you showed," Ares continues.
"Yeah, you don't seem to upset about losing," Modi questions.
"Not when im beaten by someone like that, you've earned my respect," Ares tells Modi.
"Well Skal! My dear friend," Modi shouts.
"Skal?" Ares asks.
"We shout that when we cheers to each other from my homeland its a saying of friendship," Modi explains.
"Ahh, well in that case SKAL!" Ares shouts. The two laugh and Ares walks back to the party and Modi walks with Athena.
"Well, my brother seems to like you," Athena says.
"Yeah, I can't wait to meet the others," Modi replies.
Athena takes modi to a cabana where a beautiful woman sits with servants around her.
"Modi this is my mother-," Athena begins. Before she can finish the woman interrupts her.
"I'm not your mother," the woman said sounding quite drunk.
"My fathers wife," Athena corrects herself. "Hera, queen of the gods," Athena introduces.
"So this is the strapping young man, who won a fight with Ares?" The goddess asks walking over to the God and running her fingers on his shoulders. pushing her huge cleavage into view.
"I uh. Ahem. I'm unsure what to say," Modi says embarrassed by the goddess advances.
"Tell me, have you ever been with an experience goddess?" Hera asks seductively. Playing with the gods beard. Modi smiles as not to be rude. However he looks over to Athena who looks hurt.
"Uh, Hera I'm flattered however my heart belongs to someone else," Modi try's to let down the goddess.
"Oh, come now, your going to reject me?" Hera persists.
"Yes, I care for someone else and I will not let you take away my chances for only a few pleasurable hours," Modi tells Hera pushing her away.
"Oh gods, you're really going to give me up for her," she says pointing to Athena. Athena's eyes tear up.
"Goodbye madam," Modi says. He grabs Athena and takes her into the crowd. Modi sits Athena down and he wipes the tears from her eyes. "Are you ok?" Modi asks.
"Yeah I just got a little..." Athena pauses.
"Jealous?" Modi asks.
"No!" Athena embarrassingly shouts. Modi smiles at her with a smug look. "Lets go theres still some more people you have to meet.
Modi talks to most of the gods until he sees in the air a Bifrost beam shoot across the air. Modi breaks from Athena's side.
"Where are you going?" Athena asks.
"I have to deal with something," Modi Said. "I'll be back soon, don't worry," he assures her.
Modi walks over to where the Bifrost landed. There he sees his brother, standing there with Mimir and Tyr.
"Why Are you here?" Modi asks the trio.
"I should be asking you that," Magni says pissed off.
"I'm here proving myself," Modi responds to his brother.
"Modi, stop this mother is worried its getting dark come home now," Magni tells his brother.
"No," Modi responds.
"Now brothers, we must be civilized about this," Mimir says trying to stop a bigger altercation.
"Mimir is right, Modi it was a mistake to allow you to come here. Come home we can talk about this," Tyr adds.
"No," Modi says again.
"Why not its your anything to anyone here," Magni retaliates.
"No, your wrong..." Modi says pausing to look his brother in the eyes. Athena decided to sneak about and duck in the bush to get a good view of the norse gods, without being seen. "I've met someone, a beautiful, wonderful woman, a goddess probably smarter than Mimir himself," Modi tells the gods.
"Aye lad watch it," Mimir warns.
"And I am not going to let her go, just so I can go back to being a nobody in Asgard among the Aesir," Modi defends himself standing up to his older brother. Magni stares into his brothers eyes with rage. Finally he gives in.
"Fine, but what should we tell Mother," Magni asks.
"Tell the others you couldn't find me, but you know I will return one day," Modi responds.
"please brother reconsider," Tyr pleads with the god.
"Leave now, or else" Modi threatens while snapping his fingers and summoning his axe to his hands. Magni follows suit summoning his sword to his hand. The to stand to each other Magni gives up and grabs Mimirs head from Tyr.
"Fine enjoy your new life traitor," Magni said with a pissed tone.
Modi walks back to the party and Athena quickly meets him there out of breath.
"Hey... where'd you go?" Athena asked breathing heavily.
"Are you ok?" Modi asks worried about the goddess.
"Yeah... I'm fine," Athena answers still trying to catch her breath. "Hey do you have any where to stay? You said you just got here and I just want to make sure," Athena asks.
"No I haven't thought about that," Modi admits.
"Come stay with me," Athena offers almost instantly.
"Uh, sure I'd love to you have enough space?" Modi questions.
"Yes, definitely," Athen assures.
"well, alright," Modi accepts.
The two walk to Athenas place it was a beautiful temple filled with weapons offerings and books perfectly organized.
"Wow," Modi gawks.
"I'm sorry for the mess," Athena apologizes.
"What mess this place is more organized than the all-fathers dining hall." Modi exclaims.
"The all-father? Thats Odin correct, your chief god?" Athena asks.
"Yeah how'd you know that?" Modi questions.
"My brother visited your land a while ago and brought back some books for me," Athena explains.
"Ares?" Modi asks.
"Yeah," Athena answers.
"He seems to be care about you a lot," Modi notices.
"He's my older brother, he wants me happy," Athena explains.
"Must be nice," Modi says remembering his older brother.
"It's getting late," Athena says trying to change the subject.
"Yeah, where do I?" Modi asks.
"Oh uh, the lounge is open if you want, or you can join me in my bedroom. If, of course you would be more comfortable. nothing sensual about it, it would just be me sharing my large bed fit for two people," Athena panics. Modi smiles at her thinking about how cute she looks.
"Ah, no it's not necessary, I snore anyway I would just keep you up,"Modi tells the goddess. choosing to lay down on the lounge.
"Oh yes of course," She says calming down.
Modi takes off his coats, and layers. Exposing his muscles and toned body. Athena blushes and looks away. Modi puts Falknir on the table and pats the handle. He then takes the Bifrost and put it next to the axe.
"What is that?" Athena asks trying to keep her eyes off the god.
"The Bifrost? It's a key, sort of. What you do is you trace a rune in it, each rune corresponds to a realm, Helheim, Midgard, Musplehiem, Niflheim, etc. Then you activate it, and you go zooming through a realm between realms. It's a little disorienting the first time, but you get use to it. All the Aesir have one," Modi explains.
"Wow, well I should get to bed. In the morning you'll join me and the others for breakfast?" Athena asks.
"Sure," Modi responds smiling to the goddess.
"Wonderful, you can tell me the story of you and Falknir," Athena said pointing to the axe.
"Oh most definitely," Modi responds.
The goddess giggles and walks to her room she notices Modi staring at her walk away. She decides to tease the god. With a wave of her hand, her clothes disappear, leaving her in her under garments and her hair falling down. Modi blushes and looks away. Athena laughs a bit then closes the door to her chamber. Modi lies down and closes his eyes.
"Tomorrows a new day," Modi tells himself.
Meanwhile back in Asgard. The Aesir and Vanir are gathered to talk with each other do to the disappearance of Modi. Magni, Tyr, and Mimir being the only ones to know the truth.
"My grandson is in a whole new world lost and cant be found, because you couldn't be happy with him once?" Odin asks Thor.
"I wanted him to stop acting like a coward. I wanted him to be able to fight. Is it so wrong to love my son," Thor asks the all-father.
"When it involves yelling at him, calling him names, and driving him to prove himself in a world we know nothing about. Yes, yes it is," Sif tells her husband.
"Enough, we must find him. And you my son, you will apologize to him when he returns. until then consider yourself benched," Odin tells Thor. "Baldr, you shall fight the jotnar in Thors absence," Odin orders Baldr.
"Yes, all-father," Baldr accepts.
"The rest of you go to all the realms, search high and low, find Modi," Odin orders the rest of the gods.
The table dismisses and Tyr, Magni, and Mimir walk and talk.
"We must tell him, brothers, Modi must come home." Mimir pleads with the gods.
"Agreed we should have never left him there," Tyr agrees.
"No, Modi has to do this," Magni defends.
"Why, what does he have to prove," Mimir asks.
"He comes home now he gets talked to by Odin and father, he comes home with the head of a beast he's instead celebrated, and he knows this. He may be younger then me, but he definitely is smarter than me." Magni explains.
"But-," Tyr responds before getting cut off.
"This is the only way he can show us he's worthy of the title god. Promise me you won't tell any one. Promise right now," Magni orders.
"Ah look who's trying to be a good big brother protecting his sibling. Alright I promised," Mimir responds.
"As do I," Tyr agrees.
"Good now go home. We have to 'check' more of Midgard tomorrow," Magni tells the two. He goes home and looks to an empty bed. "Oh, Modi how will I sleep tonight without your snore?" Magni asks placing a hand on the bed. He lays down anyway and closes his eyes. "Tomorrows a new day," He says, falling asleep.
