As her voice became more lethargic and softer, observing me covered head to toe in blood from the Astral beast, as if splashed with black ink sprinkled with glitter.
"I remember you; you didn't buy anything the last time in here, get out you poor window shopper!" Europa squealed pointing an accusatory finger at me.
This bitch! of course, I didn't buy no want wants to buy that dried up prune of an armor with its offensive sagging titties hanging in the wind.
"Okay sorry Europa, I'll promise to buy something this time. Let's start over I'm Yuujiro Haruki pleased to meet you, I look forward to a meaningful business relationship with you demon bull smiths. After a quick shower of course hehe."

Europa smirks in satisfaction proud of herself for making a sale when in truth the business has not had a single customer in one year.

While I know the look of an overconfident salesman even better. "Great! then please appraise these items I'm selling please." Raising one hand towards the countertop, "Storage release Astral Beast parts".
"How'd you manage to kill an Astral Beast? They are legend ranked monsters which takes at least 10 legend class adventures to even come close to subduing".
"Just got lucky I guess, was star gazing in the woods and its body from the sky out of nowhere."
"Eh?? Are you retarded Astral beasts may look like the cosmos, but they don't come from the sky...well whatever I'm not one to pry. These parts are indeed extremely rare especially the Astral skin these would make very durable lightweight armor and I'm not an idiot to let such a good material slip from my hands, what do you say to 20,000 Gold pieces?"

Slowly backing off, Europa who suddenly became extremely polite: "Of course not heh we are an honest family business Mister Yuujiro! As she grabs the armor and starts pushing to my face.
"No...no...no...no...no...no...no...you should keep the precious family heirloom, best to keep family members close right?" struggling to push back the armor against her bull strength.
This made Europa push even harder, the chest plate and its obscene glory now rubbing against my face "No...no...no...no...no...Granny's wish was to travel the world so a strong adventurer like you definitely could use her.
"STOP!!!! I'll tell you what please make me an underwear from the excess Astral beast skin and I'll gladly pay you double the market price if you would just stop marketing to me that armor for god's sake."
"Okay! come back tomorrow and it'll be ready as she happily trotted away" somehow it feels like the experienced salesman has got me good this time.
Since I've got spare time, I should explore the town for more items and get more valuable information. In the center of town lies the library containing many tomes on the different genres of magic giving a little insight into each culture.
Upon entering, I could hear the echos of my footsteps in the large concave interior of the great library. Trying my best to gingerly make my way to the inter entrance from its long hallways.
Eventually I meet the head librarian, a humanoid Naga with thick muscular emerald colored tail from the waist down. Fully dressed in a scholar's robe and cap, her expression cold and unchanging with Emerald iris eyes and snake slitted pupils that stare straight into your soul.
"What knowledge do you seek today adventurer?"
"I'm curious on the ranking system of monsters and adventurers in this world, do you have a book that gives me such details".
Then as if out of routine she slips me a pamphlet from her arm robe pocket, "please peruse this sir."
Awkwardly I picked up the pamphlet, somehow knowing that these were freely available on the streets, and I had just came here to ask a stupid question.
"Thanks...uhm Head Librarian Echidna". As I slowly read her name and title on the plaque on the desk.

For each monster rank, it takes 10 of its previous rank to match 1 in the upper rank. Example: it takes 10 regular to match 1 superior.

In the next page, it elaborates on the adventurer class system; humans and demi humans are natural preys of the monsters and beasts of this world, for humans there are no ways accurately gauge and pit one against another.
Monsters are more consistent as they have a range to their stats, however an adventurer might develop his skills in only one form or another due to the time spent honing a particular skill, as such becoming a swordsman class would give a spike in damage output example: 3000 and probably with speeds up to 5000. However, this would naturally mean that their defense is ridiculously low, perhaps even in the range of 50.
This creates the needs for humans to develop skills and seek out others who can compensate for their lack of strength and cover weaknesses, in the form of a party.
Magic however can be structured and quantified, possessing a hierarchy in the world of magic in the forms of sigils. These sigils in human society are coveted as strength and determined as to how powerful you are.
