Jeremy noticed that his phone had some battery left when he heard his notification ping alerting him. As he looked at the notification, he sank into the sand when he learned that word was out that things looked grim as everyone grieved his untimely death.
"So, no one was searching for me?" Jeremy said out loud, more to himself, but was startled when Cheryl Ann showed up after hearing him.
"What? No is searching for you?"
"It doesn't appear to be that way. They all think I'm dead?"
"So, we're stuck here on this island?" Cheryl Ann lamented.
"It looks that way, so we might as well make the most of it."
Jeremy left Cheryl Ann to fend for herself while he went off in search of something to eat for them. He couldn't believe that he was stuck on this island with Cheryl Ann Anderson, the girl who bullied him all throughout junior high and high school.
Jeremy found a spear that would serve to find some fish for dinner. He had somehow gotten a whole mess of fish for him and Cheryl Ann by the time he arrived at camp where Cheryl Ann busied herself with setting up a makeshift table for them.
"I see you found some dinner?" Cheryl Ann replied when she saw Jeremy walking up to the camp.
"It was easy after I found this!" he replied, holding up the spear he found.
"Well, I did find some berries to go with the fish you caught."
"Well, let me fry these babies up then," Jeremy said as he started a fire to roast the fish on. They made a line to hang the fish on over the fire.
While they ate the fish and berries, they both wondered to themselves how long they would be on this island and if there was some way to get off it.
