Renjiro opened his mouth and shut it, he was put in a tight spot and he was sure lyra will keep true to her word, he was eventually struck with an idea. She had no idea of his new found abilities, so he decided to try misleading her with that information.

Lyra was surprised, for a few days she had noticed there was something different about him but she couldn't place her hand on what it was, after she saw him punch Phineas through the cafeteria she was sure that there was something different about him.
''so you are saying that you can now channel energy all of a sudden, how is that possible. I have never heard of anyone that can do that after they are past ten years of age"
At first she was surprised but she eventually got over it, she knew that there were anomalies, her sister was a prime example of those anomalies, at her level she wasn't very proficient at sensing energy pathways or recognizing elites power levels except they were mid level or high level elites who had the ability to condense the excessive energy their body was emitting.

Lyra remembered this spell, it was the spell sherry used in her spar against morgana during combat class, it had the ability to obscure the vision of an opponent and create a way for the user to strike the blind spot of the opponent, but alas it was a low level spell, but for someone who as at a few weeks ago couldn't even make a seed but she considered it an impressive improvement.

Renjiro groaned in frustration, it was annoying how perceptive she was, he was really hoping she would let it go but once again his assumptions were dead wrong.

Lyra nodded her head, his explanation was a reasonable one but she wondered why the other professors never bothered about him the way professor Ophelia did, her sudden interest in him was questionable
In actuality it wasn't that the other professors and instructors didn't notice that he could now channel energy after being a dormant for a majority of his life, they just didn't care. To them he was nothing but a small fry, they thought that considering the time it took him to make a breakthrough, he might never get past the amateur elite level as a florist so they didn't bother wasting their time or breath on him. They wondered why professor Ophelia was so fixated on him but everyone just blamed it on her eccentricity.

Renjiro hoped she would stop asking these questions, if he kept lying about his relationship with professor Ophelia he might slip up and knowing how perceptive she was there was a high chance that she would pick up on it.
