"we have done everything we could but he has not manifested yet he will be fourteen in a few months time, four years past the age of manifestation and he has still shown no signs" the burly man said with a sigh
"it just seems like his body cannot generate enough energy to harness his abilities, there is a serum that was created by Elysandra, it was specifically tailored to his DNA, maybe it could fire up his cells to help his body generate the energy needed"
"enough of that my son is not a lab rat, who can be experimented upon, whenever it pleases you, and by the way I have no issues with his lack of abilities, I have enough power to protect him" caelia replied with a huff
Caelia might have looked like she didn't care about her sons lack of ability but it bothered her a great deal, she was not sure she could protect him even with all the power she and her family had, the winds were shifting and there were signs that a great threat was coming but no one could pinpoint where it was coming from.
Renjiro was observing caelia who looked to be lost in thought and then he heard a loud thud, it seemed to be zephyrus who had collapsed in exhaustion.
Space snapped again and this time he found himself in an open area, it seemed like preparations for a festival or celebration of some sorts was In progress, everyone seemed to be in a very good mood even the maids were all smiles as they moved around doing their duties, winding paths were lined with petals, the paths led to what seemed to be the center of the open ground, at that place stood a giant statue of a woman whose face was veiled. There were towering arrangements of plants that looked like sunflowers, orchids and roses.
Artisans and vendors looked to be setting up their stalls, to showcase their different goods, there seemed to be a melodious tune that permeated the area but Renjiro could not place where it was coming from, after a few minutes he saw a group of women who were scantily dressed and in a fit of perversion the tune he was taken by seemed to be a thing of the past, the ladies walked around the sacred statue, throwing flower petals onto the statue, as soon as the last petal touched the statue, the statue lit up with a blinding light that reached the heavens and the melodious tune changed to something more solemn.
As soon as the solemn tune began there was a procession led by twelve people with veiled faces, all covered in white and barefooted, they all kneeled before the statue and kowtowed twelve times before rising, at that moment there were shouts of jubilation from the crowd.
Renjiro blinked and found himself in front of stall, at the stall he saw zepyhrus and the blue haired girl trying to haggle with a vendor over a bracelet that had lots of flowery patterns on it, zephrus gave a few coins to the vendor and handed the bracelet over to the blue haired girl with a smile on his face.
"He can't even hide it" Renjiro thought with disgust
Renjiro decided to follow them since he didn't have anything doing and he wasn't sure when next he would be teleported away, as he tagged along with them he saw a dark haired young man, kneeling behind a young woman, he whispered something Renjiro couldn't hear and a flower popped up in his hands, and he offered it to her. The crowd around them cheered and congratulated the new couple.
Zephyrus and the blue haired girl dispersed with the rest of the crowd and walked to a stall whose vendor sold fish cakes
"this new world seems so similar to my previous one in a lot of ways" Renjiro thought to himself while salivating
"did you hear about what happened to oberon" Renjiro heard the blue haired girl ask
"oberon? Who is that?" zephyrus asked
The blue haired girl smacked him at the back of his head in anger, "you idiot how can you not know oberon, we attend the same school and he sits behind you in class"
"oh that's him, he always seems to be hiding from something and he looks so plain you'd forget that he exists. What's wrong with him" zephyrus asked
"he was almost assassinated yesterday, no one knows how he managed to escape but there were burn marks on his back, the doctors said he is stable but he is in a coma and no one knows when he would wake up. This has never happened in our continent before, but these days, things keep getting weirder even on other continents, the cult of osthronos has been targeting the elites of other continents but they have not managed to kill any higher ranking elites but the same cannot be said for other lower ranking elites" the blue haired girl whispered aggressively and started dragging zephyrus away from the festival arena
