The pirates began to spread themselves in a formation that put both him and lyra in the center, he constantly turned around moving quickly on his foot to avoid having any blind spot.
''zephyrus, we have to have our backs against each other to be able to see their attacks from all sides and block effectively'' prompting renjiro to stop moving for a few seconds giving one of the pirates an opening to lunge at him.
Renjiro turned around just in time to see the pirate leaping towards him and punched him with reflexively, sending him shuttling back quicker than he came. Lyra shot him a smile and turned back to face the rest of the pirates, for a moment she thought that he would be captured adding more issues to the already existing one.
The pirates on the other hand were beyond shocked, they just saw one of them smacked like a ball by someone they considered to be weak, a tree halted the fall of the red haired pirate who was punched shaking violently, the pirate felt intense pain around his abdomen and poked around it, finding some of his ribs to be fractured, he groaned and took out a vial from his kit bag and gulped down the content, he felt his bones and flesh getting mended and rose back to his feet with a murderous look on his face.
''let us go now and you might leave here with little to no consequences'' lyra said trying to reason with the pirates.
Melora watched from inside the vehicle, cursing her powerlessness. If only she was useful in combat she would have evened the numbers, she resolved to at least learn self defense and take combat classes seriously if they were able to escape this.

''I guess we can't come to an agreement then'' lyra replied, two whip like vines appearing in her hands, renjiro backed her watching the other end but not using any arcane abilities since his mastery over energy flows was poor and he couldn't sustain most of his constructs for long periods of time.
The blue haired pirate chuckled and the stun ray appeared in his hands but before he could push the trigger lyra's whip cracked hitting the stun ray out of his hands, causing him to scream in fury since the whip had also come in contact with his hands.
''you are dead, close in and attack'' he commanded and the pirates began to close in on them restricting the space that lyra could employ for her whips.
lyra chuckled. ''I wanted to humor you guys by trying to make this as fair as possible but I don't think that's possible'' the pirates looked at each other confused by her speech.

An arcane circle appeared beneath their feet expanding till it covered the whole area around them, the pirates looked around in fright cursing their luck. No matter what they tried they couldn't get away in time for the spell to activate.
Vines grew from beneath them at an accelerated rate entrapping them with the thorns on the vines breaking their skin and drawing out blood, with each second they could feel the vines growing tighter and they were finding it increasingly difficult to breath.
''stop this and we promise to leave you alone'' the white haired pirate said in a squeaky voice, he had become very pale which was proof that he was losing blood quickly but lyra was not moved
''I offered you that option a while ago and you rejected it, now you are pleading to be freed. This should be a lesson to you'' lyra had no qualms with killing them on the spot but since Melora was there she decided to drain them unconscious and leave them. Unknown to her the blue haired pirate was furiously digging in his kit bag for something.
''How did you shut down our vehicle system, anyone who answers first gets to live'' lyra asked teasing them, she was going to let them live but they didn't know that.
''we used a disruptor, it is a very small black device, it can be easily missed if you don't look closely'' the white haired pirate squeaked, his vision had started becoming blurry as he had lost a lot of blood, lyra noticed this and released him letting him flop to the ground, but she didn't heal any of his injuries.
''coward'' the blue haired pirate said and spat in the direction of his collapsed partner, he had finally gotten his hands on what he sought.
Lyra walked towards the vehicle asking renjiro to keep an eye on the pirates while she checked on the vehicle to remove the disruptor so they could be on their way, after a few seconds of searching thanks to her keen observation she finally found the disruptor and crushed it and the vehicle came alive again.
''zephyrus come on let's go'' lyra instructed and turned around with renjiro tagging along.
Now that he wasn't being watched the blue haired pirate squeezed the metallic ball he was holding, activating it, the ball released a corrosive gas that was tailored towards corroding anything plant based, the vines ensnaring him decayed almost immediately, releasing him from his bondage, he gulped down a health potion and restored his health and vitality back to top level.
''where do you think you are headed to'' he asked
''I was aware of the fact that you were trying to free yourself but I ignored you hoping you were smart enough to stall till I left but I guess I was wrong''

Countless vines arose from the ground growing and wrapping around the pirate till it formed a cocoon wrapping him inside.
''good riddance, it will take him a while to free himself'' lyra said and stepped into the vehicle dispelling the vines that held the red haired pirate as the vehicle rose and shot towards their destination.
