With a frightened expression, the girl cried and shouted for help.
The demonic shark grinned wider at such a pitiable creature, then it reached out to grab her so it could crush this noisy girl in its hand.
However, before its massive hand could touch her, a shadow leaped and saved the girl. The demonic shark's eyes followed the shadow of the savior.
In its mind, the demonic shark thought angrily. 'Who dares to go and steal my prey?!'
Its furious eyes found the brave soul who interfered with its business.
Breathing heavily while running, Dante was carrying the girl in his arms. He was
fortunate that he landed on the bushes a while ago, if not, he would have probably suffered the same fate as the other victims.
"Are you okay?" He asked the girl to confirm she wasn't hurt.
"Eh?" The girl looked confused. She did not expect she was still alive. Realizing she was saved by him, she nodded.
"Y-yes. I am fine."
Dante sighed in relief.
"Don't worry. I will save you."
His words seemed like a ray of hope to the girl as she tightened her clutch on him and nodded with teary eyes.
Deep inside, Dante was so scared. He jumped in danger to save the girl. He didn't think he was cut out to be a hero, but there was this weird god who forced a mission on him to save her.
He wondered what to do next now that he had done it. Well, first thing first, they needed to get away as far as he could. But just as Dante thought he managed to get away, they noticed the ground shook.
Glancing behind while running, his eyes widened in disbelief. He saw the demonic shark closing on them. "'Wha—! It's chasing us?!' Dante's heart sank. He was so nervous. Every step, the monster took, shook the ground, and damn, it was targeting them!
Their distance was shrinking so fast!
After establishing his Qi channels, Dante's physical stats grew to some degree. He could also feel his senses had sharpened. It was also the reason why he thought he could save the girl, but it looked like he overestimated himself.
He gritted his teeth and put all his efforts into speeding up his steps. Everything will end if it catches them.
No matter what, he couldn't afford to let it catch them.

The demonic shark let out an angry roar. Its mere roar caused some destruction around it. Fortunately, there were no people nearby, otherwise, there would be other victims.
Just when Dante thought of hiding, a big figure covered the sky casting a big shadow on them.
Fuck! It won't even give him time to breathe. Dante wanted to call a timeout. But unfortunately, it wasn't a sports game.
It landed in a heavy thud, causing a pit big enough to bury a truck.
Although Dante managed to leap away avoiding getting hit, the mini earthquake caused him to stumble and fall.
Despite the situation, he protected the little girl. Using his body and arms, he shielded her from crashing on the cobblestone.
"Ugh! Are you okay?" Groaning, he asked her.
The girl opened his eyes and nodded silently. Confusion and fear were visible in her eyes.
At that moment, they heard heavy steps.
Thud! Thud!
With wide eyes, the two glanced at the same time to their back.
From the pit, an enigmatic figure came up. It was oozing with an intense murderous aura. Dante felt all the hair on his body standing up. Its aura alone could kill a person. There's no doubt.
Gritting his teeth, he looked at the girl.
"Hold tight and don't look at it!"
"O-okay!"
He carried her once again and he hastily got up. He couldn't give up.
But just as Dante was about to take his seventh step, a figure suddenly blocked their path.
Dante stumbled backward.
Thud!
"No way."
A towering shadow was looking down on them all of a sudden. Despite its gigantic appearance, it was unbelievably agile.
Grr…
Staring coldly at them, a low growl came from its bizarre mouth.
Seeing the dark massive hand lifted higher in the air, the girl closed her eyes as it tried to hide deeper into his embrace. Noticing it, Dante's heart hurt a bit. He wanted to save her, but what else can he do in this situation? The enemy was not a mere punk on the street. It was a creature that was beyond common sense.
He smiled bitterly.
So, is this how he would die? He thought sorrowfully.
He couldn't even save one person. It might be a different story if it was Agent Black who was there and not him.
When Dante lost hope of the situation, the massive dark hand came down, tearing the air to crash them.
But right at that moment, a voice came.
Without a warning, *Boom!* a strong wave of golden energy burst out from Dante's body. The nearby demonic shark was hit by it. The force was strong— strong enough to send the demonic shark flying away and crashing onto the nearby wall.
Dante was dumbfounded by it even though the source of it was him.
He sent a glance at the girl to see if she was fine. He saw her clinging onto him tightly while still shutting her eyes close.
He sighed in relief when he noticed she was fine. But then Dante noticed something in his body.
His body was glowing!?
Did he turn into a human lamp?
He felt something unusual all of a sudden. His gut feeling was telling him that he could do anything in his current condition.
'What is this?' Dante thought to himself in disbelief.
