Chapter 19 - Boyfriend

Luna's Point of View

I woke up in an unfamiliar room. I looked at the ceiling and realized that I was in a motel.

Where is Sky?

I turned to my left and saw him sleeping peacefully. I didn't want to go home today. Maybe my parents are already worried, but let them be. Bryan is just our neighbor, and I don't want to see him there. I can't accept what he did to me. He completely let go of our friendship because of his feelings. It's frustrating because we didn't resolve our not-so-broken relationship.

"Oh, you're awake," Sky said.

He got up and arranged the pillows.

"Yeah. Let's leave. We've only been here for 8 hours," I said as I got up from bed.

Sky tidied up the pillows and blanket. As I watched him, something suddenly crossed my mind, but I couldn't identify what it was.

"I-I'll take you home," he said, looking at me. It was then that I noticed he was tall and had a broad physique. He wasn't wearing a polo shirt, just a tank top and shorts.

"L-Luna. You're undressed." He covered his eyes and turned away.

Damn it! He saw me before turning away.

I blushed at his words. I quickly grabbed the clothes hanging on the chair. They were already dry. I went straight to the bathroom to change.

Damn it, Luna! What got into your mind that you slept with this guy?

"Luna! Make it fast! We still have work," I heard him shout from outside.

After checking out of the motel, we quickly headed to campus. Neither of us had taken a shower or brushed our teeth. Luckily, lockers were available, and there was a bathroom closet near the campus swimming pool where we could freshen up.

It was still early, and we had time to take care of ourselves. He asked me to go ahead and shower while he looked for our breakfast. When I was done, he sent me straight to our classroom to eat.

Damn it. I'm inconveniencing people. WAAAAAAH!!

I saw the food on my desk: cup noodles, bread rolls, and water.

Aww... how sweet.

"Start eating. They'll arrive later," someone said. I turned to the speaker and saw Sky wiping his wet hair.

He looks so damn hot!

"Okay. You should eat too."

He sat beside me and started eating with me. We ate quietly while watching each person entering the classroom one by one.

"Remember the guitar pick, Luna?" I turned to him when I heard him speak.

He stood up behind me and put something on me.

"You keep that. You're my perfect missing tune. You deserve something related to that," he smiled. Then he sat back down beside me and continued eating.

I held the necklace he put on me. It was the guitar pick he left at the park before.

"Why are you giving this to me?" I asked.

"Are you courting me?" I blurted out without thinking.

He looked at me and furrowed his brow.

"I've kissed you so many times, and you're still figuring that out?"

I lowered my head at his words. He's so straightforward. How embarrassing!

"Well, kiss me if that's a yes," I challenged him.

"You told me last night to wait for you. So it means I don't have to wait anymore?" he said seriously.

I just nodded and continued eating.

"Okay then."

My whole body shivered as he suddenly kissed my cheek. His lips were so soft!

I'm thrilled. Damn!

"So you're my girlfriend now?"

Fuck! This guy is so innocent!

I nodded slowly and looked at him. I felt my cheeks turning red. His cheeks were the same when I saw him smile while eating.

"Yay," he whispered softly.

Class ended. Ms. Alonzo told me not to change classrooms anymore because it might affect my grades.

Sky is my boyfriend now. I don't feel it much because he hasn't paid much attention to me since earlier. He seems too serious about life. He even scolded me, I think, because my quiz scores were low.

I'm happy because I don't have to change classrooms for other subjects anymore. In fact, I've taken the same subjects in this section. It turned out that way because I transferred, and the schedules of the transfers conflicted.

Is this my fate now? It's so good.

I looked at Sky and saw him typing on his phone. I approached him to see what he was doing.

How to be a good boyfriend.

WHAT THE HECK?! He searched for that on Google?

"What the hell? Why are you searching for that?" I asked.

"You're my first girlfriend. I have no idea about relationships," he replied.

"Just love me. That's all!" I said.

"Okay. I love you," he smiled.

Darn it! He's so handsome.

He held my hand and pulled me out of the classroom. We immediately bumped into Kuya Leo. I told him to come with us so he could help me explain and make my excuse more convincing.

"So, you're a couple now?" Mama raised an eyebrow and asked.

Actually, having a boyfriend wasn't a problem for her. She said I'm still young and I should do what I want to do—like dropping out of school, just kidding, that's not allowed.

I never neglect my studies. I was just born dumb. It's hard being an only child. My mom's hopes are all on me.

"Yes, Mom. Sorry, he only answered me now," Sky said.

Damn it! Did you really have to say that?

I held Sky's hand and pulled him out of the house.

"I'll accompany her to the station, Mom!"

We walked outside, and the streets were now dark. It looked scenic because of the streetlights.

"Did you know that our names match?" I turned to him when he suddenly spoke.

Yeah, Luna means moon.

"When the sky is dark, the moon is there to beautify the night," he smiled at me.

"The moon belongs to the Sky." We stopped walking. He faced me and touched my cheek.

"And you belong to me."

After that, I felt his lips touching mine. This time, there was no more hesitation, uncertainty, or second thoughts. Pure excitement and happiness flowed from my heart to the very core of my being.

He pulled away from the kiss.

"The moon is so lovely," he kissed my forehead.

"So are you."
