"I'm sorry, I didn't know," Lucius said after a moment, feeling a deep sense of sympathy for Kevin.
"Don't be, it's not your fault," Kevin replied
"When I first met you in the city, I was desperate to find someone to communicate with, and you chose to trust me, even removing the barrier. You trusted me, a stranger." Kevin said gently
"I've been with you since we arrived here, and I've noticed you are changing," Kevin said slowly.
"I know," Lucius replied.
"At least maybe Sophia is alive, while my Elizabeth is dead," Kevin said slowly, lifting his head.
Lucius gazed up at the vast sky, his eyes filled with longing and sorrow, as if hoping to find answers with the morning light.
"That's also the issue," he agreed, his voice still tinged with uncertainty.
