As Sophia was about to leave the park and head to the main road for work, a commanding voice suddenly announced its presence, its resonance seeming to envelop the entire Earth.
"System Initializing," it declared, and a transparent loading screen with numbers appeared in front of her, starting at 1% and slowly rising. Panic welled up inside her as she watched this mysterious system initialization unfold before her eyes.
She looked around and realized that everyone else in the vicinity was in the same state, frozen as the loading screen took over. The only exception was a teenager walking a dog, who looked at the adults with confusion.
Once the loading screen reached 100%, everyone in the vicinity dropped to the ground, overwhelmed by the sounds of barks and panicked screams filling the air.
