In the distance, the Kobold city was visible, but something drew Lucius's attention. He pulled Lily down, and they hid behind a bush.
Five Kobolds, armed and appearing to go on a hunt, came into view. They were aggressive and not very intelligent, all being around level 3, with one of them at level 5 leading the group.
"No doubt these creatures, like the goblins, lack intelligence until higher levels," Lucius muttered as he observed them. Lily nodded in agreement.
"Let's follow them to see what they're up to," he said, lightly trailing behind the Kobolds.
They watched from behind the trees in the nearby forest as the Kobolds trapped a wolf. They threw ropes and chains, attempting to hold it down before finally securing it.
"Roar!" The leader, with yellowish scales covered in marks, dragged the wolf, making it cry out as they pulled it towards the city.
