Chereads / Who The Villain / Chapter 7 - Azura's other side

Chapter 7 - Azura's other side

The eyelids twitched and finally opened completely. Her gaze immediately fixed on the ceiling of the room. I don't think this is her room. Then where is she now?

Miura tried to get up, but her eyes immediately swept the surroundings. The room was gloomy and dark, the windows covered with dark curtains. And there was only candlelight in the room.

Miura tried to remember what happened before she was in this place, this scary place. A handsome, grim-faced man had taken her from the tent by force. The same man as the one in her dream. Is that the vampire king Azura?

While her mind was still wandering, the door creaked open, and a person appeared and stood in the doorway. Miura couldn't see his face clearly because of the darkness in the room.

"Wh-who are you?" Miura's lips trembled. What is the vampire king Azura? Finally, she will meet the villain in this comic.

Knock... Knock... Knock...

The sound of footsteps slowly approached, and in the dim candlelight, now the face was visible.

"Miss... are you awake?"

Miura was slightly taken aback by her polite voice. He wasn't sure if it was the notorious Azura.

The face got closer and closer until Miura could see a handsome face that seemed helpless. It was as if there was a deep sorrow in her bloodshot eyes.

In the comics, Azura has beady red eyes. The view is always full of emotion and revenge. So why does it look different this time?

"Azura? Are you Azura?" Miura dared to ask and at the same time wanted to get rid of her curiosity.

"Yeah... It's me? Don't I look like myself?" A small chuckle broke the silence. As if he had just said something really funny.

Is this the true original form? He looks more like a lonely little boy.

"So you're Azura?" Miura repeated as her fear slowly faded.

"Yes... It's me." And now her face looks sad again.

Miura once again glanced around the room, dark and deserted. Then he wondered to himself, does Azura live alone? Where are all the maids? This situation was far different from the Silvester family palace.

"What did you bring me here for?" Now Miura is sure that Azura is not as cruel as in the story or just what she looks like. This man looks like he has a lot of mysteries.

"Don't you already know the answer?" He said back asking.

"Know what you mean? I don't know anything."

"Don't lie," he smiled sarcastically, "I'm sure that liar must have tried to brainwash you and twist the facts."

Who?

What does he mean by a liar?

Miura didn't understand.

"That silver-eyed fellow must've said a lot to you, right?" Azura's face drew closer and was only inches away from Miura's.

What did he mean by the silver eyes? Is that her sister... Mika?

"You know, actually he is the real villain in this story. But instead, he scapegoated me to fulfill his wish."

No... No way. There's no way Mika could be that kind of person. Miura didn't want to believe Azura's words.

Or maybe right now, Azura was the one who was trying to brainwash him.

"Why? Why do you seem to trust those silver eyes more than me... Your husband."

What?

Husband?

"I was your husband in the previous life, and in this life, I also want you to still be my wife." Azura's hand traced Herra's white face.

As if hypnotized, Miura was speechless. Azura's words and gaze seemed to seduce him.

"You want to? Marry me?" Still tracing Herra's face with her fingers.

In his helplessness. Miura tried to wake up from her reverie and dared to brush Azura's hand away. "No... I can't possibly marry the man who killed my parents."

Miura seemed to be able to feel Herra's feelings at this moment. For that, he was so emotional.

"So you believe that story too? Do you believe that I killed your parents?"

Miura paused she felt unsure. But her sister Mika can't lie to her. She must not be trapped by the persuasion of the man in front of her. He is the real villain in this comic story.

"Okay, I won't force you so you can remember everything. And there's no need to show that I'm innocent in this matter."

Azura stood up and walked away from the side of the bed. This was beyond Miura's expectations. He thought the man was going to be rude to him after receiving his rejection.

"Sleep well, I promise I won't disturb you. I'm glad you're finally here with me now."

Miura finally breathed a sigh of relief after Azura decided to leave the room she was in. After that, he held the tension that made him short of breath. It turned out that the man wasn't as bad as he thought, even so, he had to stay alert.

***

After a long night, Miura was finally awakened by the sunlight streaming through the curtains in her room.

He had been awake most of the night for fear that Azura would sneak back into his room and do something to him. But the man never came, because he couldn't stand his drowsiness, he finally fell asleep.

Miura stared at the window which was covered with curtains and sunlight was shining through the slits. Slowly he got up from his bed and walked closer to the window.

Her thin, slender fingers managed to pull back the curtains, letting the dazzling sunlight fill the room.

Now he could see the state of the room. It turned out that the room was very spacious and filled with antiques in every corner. Miura's gaze stopped at a large painting that sat on the wall above the bed. A painting of a woman very similar to him--no, Herra meant. Or maybe it was Herra's painting? But there's something a little different, the woman's hair in the painting is black, while Herra's hair is golden.

"You already... Augh! Why did you open the curtains?! Quickly close the curtains again!"

Miura gasped at the sound that suddenly came from the door. Azura was already standing there. "Quickly close the curtain again!" He jerked once again while trying to protect his face with both hands.

Miura immediately complied with Azura's request. Now he is sure that vampires do not like sunlight. But this situation is different from the vegetarian vampire clan, they still dare to take a walk in the sun as long as it's not too hot. Even though now the sun was not too bright because it was covered by the thick leaves around the palace. But Azura still felt pain. Is it because he is a vampire sucking human blood?

"You know you almost killed me," Azura said adjusting her breathing to return to normal.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you were allergic to sunlight."

"No, it's not your fault. I should be the one apologizing for speaking so harshly to you."

The man in front of him seemed to change his personality very quickly. Sometimes gentle, sometimes harsh, and sometimes looks like a pitiful child.

Now Miura could also see Azura's figure. The man seemed unreal. The meaning is unreal because it is invisible. But more, he looks not like a normal human. He's too handsome for a human vampire. His figure looks like the one in the comic picture.

Pale white skin, a pair of bright red beads, a sharp nose, and red lips are as red as blood. His proportionally tall body clad in a black princely dress seemed to make him look even more perfect. Don't forget the red robe that is his trademark. He is a very cool vampire. But after all, he is a villain in this comic story. So Miura decided to keep her distance.

"Why are you even looking at me like that?" Azura folded her arms across her chest and her shoulders leaned against the door frame. "Are you fascinated by me?" He said full of confidence.

Miura did not expect that Azura could also be narcissistic, this was completely different from her image which was known to be cold and cruel. Miura didn't see any of that in Azura. He saw like there was the figure of a small child trapped in his body. He looks like a lonely man and hides all his sadness with his silly behavior. Although he sometimes looks curt, at the same time he also looks gloomy.

"Surely you want to say, if I'm more handsome than that silver eye, right?"

"I didn't say that. So don't act like you know it." Miura said and finally made Azura chuckle a little.

"You're quite brave, huh? I thought you were afraid of me. But it's good that you're not afraid of me."

It was very strange to see someone who was said to be cruel but could laugh like this now. There's nothing to be afraid of from this man. Even so, Miura tried to stay alert.

Azura walked over to Miura and grabbed the girl's arm. "Come with me, we have breakfast." Without seeking approval from Miura, the man continued to pull her out of the room.

The two of them walked down the circular staircase. All the rooms seem gloomy and a little dark. Even so, the items are neatly arranged and very well maintained. Who has cleaned up all the contents of this sizable house? If Azura is alone, it seems impossible. But Miura saw no occupants other than Azura. Does that man live alone here?

Miura's mind kept wandering until their feet stepped on a fairly large room. The atmosphere is not much different from other rooms that seem gloomy. There is a large dining table there.

"Sit down!" Azura pulled up one of the chairs and made Miura sit on it. Then he pulled out another chair for himself.

At the dining table, you can see dishes prepared with various kinds of vegetables, there are also several fruit baskets. "Eat, these are all your favorite foods, right?" Azura ordered.

To be honest, Miura wanted to eat something else. He misses eating meat or fish. But there's no way that the food menu is served here now.

"You alone, do not eat?" Miura asked back.

"Are you kidding me? Do I, a ruminant, have to eat this kind of food?" The man chuckled to himself. Miura also wanted to laugh at his words. But he held it as best he could. He still wants to make boundaries with Azura.

"Then what did you eat?" Mira was curious.

Azura then raised a glass full of thick red-colored liquid into the air. "I've had enough of this." Then he brought the rim of the glass to his lips, and the contents of the glass quickly turned empty.

Miura who saw the sight instantly felt nauseous. He thought it must be human blood.

"Can you show me where the bathroom is?" She said while holding his stomach.

Azura's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Are you trying to escape?"

"No, I'm sick to my stomach, I need to use the restroom right now." Shouted Miura who looked like she wanted to vomit.

"There!" Azura raised his index finger pointing to a door not far from there. Her eyes stared fixedly at Herra's round green eyes. "Don't try to run away from me. Or you'll see a different side of me that I'm sure you don't want to see." He continued in a threatening tone.

"Don't worry, I won't run." Miura immediately got up from her seat and ran to where Azura pointed. Inside there she immediately expels all the contents of his stomach. He could not believe his own eyes that had to witness a vampire drinking human blood in front of him. That's so disgusting. Miura's stomach suddenly felt queasy and she vomited again. He vomited until his body felt limp.

How long will she be trapped in this vampire world? It made her wonder, where is the real Herra's soul now? And how was she in the real world after falling from the third floor of his school? If only he could find out. But unfortunately, all of this is like a dream. If this is a dream, she wants to wake up soon and she can live a normal life again. Although real life is not as interesting as in this comic. But at least, she doesn't need to witness a vampire drinking human blood. And maybe she can eat delicious his mother's cooking. She also missed school a bit even though he was often alone. Miura probably even misses fighting with Alexa.

Knock... Knock... Knock...

A knock on the door interrupted Miura's thoughts. "What took you so long?" It was Azura's voice. Damn, impatient man.

"Are you better now?" Azura asked after Miura came out of the bathroom.

Miura nodded slightly. He didn't want to make eye contact with Azura.

"Are you sick? Why are you throwing up like that? Or could you be pregnant? Gosh..." Azura's face was fake surprised. "Even though we've never done it, there's no way you're pregnant right?"

Miura immediately made a sour face towards Azura. It turns out that there are also vampires as stupid as this he thought. "I'm sick of it because I can't stand watching you drink human blood. It looks disgusting." Miura objected honestly.

"So that's why? I thought you were pregnant with that silver-eyed kid."

"Stop calling him silver eyes. He has a name, his name is Mika. And he is my brother." Miura snapped.

Azura chuckled. "Are you sure you only think of him as an older brother?"

"What do you mean?" Miura glared at Azura's red eyes. Did this man realize something?

"I'm sure he must have said all sorts of things to you, right?" Azura instead gave groundless accusations.

"Don't talk nonsense. He's not that kind of person."

"If he didn't say anything to you, you definitely wouldn't hate me like this. For example, you wouldn't accuse me of drinking human blood."

Miura's brows suddenly knit together. He couldn't understand what the man in front of him was saying. "What I drank earlier was animal blood. And I never drink human blood. That silver eye must also say that I am a vampire who likes to attack humans, right?"

Miura paused, looking thoughtful. She thought, what had she guessed about the man in front of him all this time wrong? But she also doesn't believe that Mika is like Azura said. This man could just lie to her, right?

"Don't say it carelessly. However, I'm sure my brother isn't someone who likes to slander other people. Don't make it up. That's a reality, right? You drink human blood and hunt them? You even killed my parents. How can I believe it?" to you." Miura said as if understanding Herra's feelings. She can't trust a villain.

"Herra... You have misunderstood. What you said is completely untrue."
