Chapter 5 - Chapter 5-Is He Gonna Throw a Tree to us?

While Ursa continued chopping wood, three figures suddenly materialized in the sky. All three of them appeared elderly, their features weathered by time. One of the trio stepped forward, his hand enveloped in a crackling purple lightning aura. With a swift motion, he directed the energy towards Ursa, who was engrossed in his woodcutting.

Although Ursa was aware of the trio's presence, he was not the type to resort to violence unless provoked. As a father, his primary concern was protecting his son and setting a positive example. When he noticed the menacing gesture of one of the figures, he instinctively stepped back, prioritizing his son's safety above all.

The lightning struck the ground where Ursa had stood just moments before, causing widespread devastation. Trees were torn asunder and consumed by the ensuing flames. Paying no heed to the figures hovering above, Ursa swiftly sprinted toward his home. Unlike those who possessed spiritual cultivation abilities, he relied on his own two feet to carry him.

Upon reaching his family, a wave of relief washed over Ursa as he saw that both his wife and son were unharmed. Fixing a deadly gaze upon the trio still floating in the air, he spoke with unwavering determination, "If you leave now, I will spare your lives. Otherwise..."

A surge of formidable energy radiated from Ursa, as if rivers of blood were coursing through his veins. Witnessing this formidable display, the trio was surprised but not intimidated. Having lived for a century, they had weathered many trials and taken countless lives.

Unlike Reng, the trio didn't believe that the man in front of them was in his twenties. According to the records in the clans and sects, if someone possessed a body-strengthening technique with the ability to rejuvenate, it was normal for them to maintain a youthful appearance.

The blue-robed man, with a mocking look, said to Ursa, "Or else what? Are you going to kill all three of us?"

Without paying much attention to the trio's mocking gaze, Ursa slung his axe over his shoulder and turned to his wife, saying, "Protect our son."

Ursa had always kept his distance from his wife. He never expected that the woman who would become his wife would be someone who had once tried to assassinate him. She had failed in her attempt, and Ursa had given her a good beating. However, no matter how hard he tried, Ursa couldn't kill her. When this incident happened, he was only seventeen years old. Unable to kill her, he started keeping her as a captive, and soon they had faced many dangerous situations together. Although their animosity gradually turned into love, Ursa still maintained some distance. After all, as someone who had torn off her limbs with his axe, he couldn't understand how she didn't hate him to the bone.

With deliberate steps, Ursa approached a nearby tree. With a single swing of his axe, the mighty trunk fell to the ground. Holding the felled tree with both hands, Ursa fixed his gaze upon the trio in the air. Puzzled, they wondered what he was planning. "Is he going to throw a tree at us?" they mused. A rare, cunning grin spread across Ursa's face. While the trio remained captivated by his expression, the muscles all over his body began to swell, as if roused from a deep slumber. In the next instant, the colossal tree trunk whizzed through the air like a slender arrow, hurtling towards the lightning-wielding figure with astounding speed. Caught off guard, the man was unable to mount a defense. Had he foreseen the unconventional attack, he might have been able to resist, but who would have anticipated a tree being launched at them? The remaining two individuals stood there, dumbfounded.

Ursa was certain that an ordinary tree wouldn't be able to kill these bone bags, but getting them down to the ground would be enough.

The man struck by the tree trunk coughed up a mouthful of blood, causing him and his companions to descend and kneel on the ground. The other two individuals belonged to the other clan and sect . In normal circumstances, witnessing their rival clan leader being attacked in such a manner would have triggered an all-out assault to end him. However, they needed every ounce of their strength to contend with their present adversaries.

The quartet swiftly engaged in a fierce battle on the ground. The man injured by tree launched spear-like lightning bolts from a distance, targeting Ursa. Despite hitting him twice, Ursa remained resolute, swinging his axe with effortless agility to fend off the earthen walls conjured by his opponent ,and other mans gleaming sword.

The man attacking with lightning strikes occasionally contemplated targeting Ursa's wife, but he refrained, knowing full well that Ursa would shield her at any cost. The skirmish continued for nearly an hour.

Soon, one of the trio burst into laughter, while the other two wore signs of victory on their faces. Ursa was confused, as his energy was still intact, and his body had only a few scratches. When he looked at his wife, he couldn't see anything strange. She was simply holding a small silver needle, about ten centimeters long.

The man attacking with lightning strikes was drenched in sweat. His previously blue robe was now stained with blood and sweat. The condition of the other two was even worse.

"Your name is Ursa, isn't it? I attacked your wife and child with my poisonous needles. Your wife may live for five or six days, but your child will likely die in an hour. Hahaha..."

"If you submit and become our servants, we can provide the antidote. What do you say?"

The elderly man, holding a shining long sword, didn't speak, but a mocking and triumphant expression was evident on his face.

The elderly man standing with a shining long sword didn't speak, but his face bore a mocking and triumphant expression.

Finally understanding why his opponents were so happy, Ursa felt relieved. Before long, he burst into laughter, a laughter that seemed unbelievably maniacal.

"So, you really poisoned my wife and child, hahaha!"

In response to Ursa's words, the trio turned their attention to the woman and the baby in her arms. The woman had no expression on her beautiful face. Slowly, she extended her pale arm and allowed her blood to flow into her son's mouth.

"My wife was bathed in countless poisons when she was young. It's ridiculous for you to talk about poison in front of her even i cant kill her while we were even."

Once the trio understood what had happened, they realized they couldn't continue the battle any longer. They immediately retreated, and as they did, papers appeared in their hands, as if they had made an agreement. The papers emitted a shining light and quickly disappeared.

"Well, let's see how many people you can fight against at most."
