Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 1 OR WHAT I CALL 'THE DREAM'

To be honest, it all started with dreams. I always had strange dreams. But lucid ones always weirded me out. Every dream had protagonists whom I somehow knew. It started with normal dreams, where almost every character had a pretty deep backstory that always played hard on my moral compass so much that I was always in a twist whether to hate them or not.

It wasn't until I met Anya I understood what was going on. Dreamers were sometimes a helpless spectator who watched people walk into their disastrous fate. It always put a damper on my mood on the days I dreamt and couldn't do anything to help someone in my dream. So, I started to meddle in my lucid dreams. But fate does have a way of mucking up your pity party by setting your back in fire. Anya is somewhat of an author, and as the only one who read her books, it was one of the most gory and nightmare inducing stuff I've ever read.

Lucid dreamers in their weirded out dreams, create a new alternate reality that completely went according to its own pace if the dreamers didn't interfere. But I was a meddlesome, nosy woman who had opinions on anything and everything. Anya was a meddlesome dreamer too if anything she had written was true, and I won't even wish her dreams on my worst enemies. But aside that by that time, I started to understand what was happening; it was not a pretty sight.

I met Ziva on a sunny day. I mean a sunny day in my dream. She was too pretty, it was a weekday and I was tired, dead tired and I was wearing my PJ pants and the t-shirt that I 'lent' from my brother and it was super comfortable and I wouldn't have anyone embarrass me about it. He was not there, and as long as he didn't know about the shirt, I was safe. But priorities, there was a pretty girl in my dream who nearly looked like all the blond protagonists in the comics I binge read on weekends. I didn't know her and it was suspicious to the nth degree. The very first thing she did was criminal.

" Who are you? How dare you enter my gardens? "

The very question I wanted to ask her.

And it didn't end there

"Guards, arrest this intruder from my gardens!!" Oh so she was the boss the more intelligent part of me chimed 'no a lady or maybe a daughter of merchants' 'or maybe a gardener' the random active part of my mind reminded me 'nah, she's too pretty'. That sudden comment disturbed some other part of my mind, which protested,'she ... '. I cut it off it 'cause it had become something normal having stupid dreams which had hyper-realistic characters who always ignored me and whatever I said as it always went through the air as if I was a ghost.

And it didn't end there. I turned around to meet the unfortunate soul. But curse my luck there were only the guards rushing as if to capture me. "Me!!!" I pointed to myself. They were here to capture me. "You guys can see me !!" I was dumbfounded. "My Lady, I believe she's dumb," the guy who was in a pretty impressive armor of chainmail whom I didn't notice before remarked. The manhandling was uncomfortable, and as a person who has done no crimes, I protested some what. "Hey, Unhand Me!". And I was a shady person for the lady too, I guess. Turning back to the lady and her knight, I said, "And I'll have you know that I am a pretty much intelligent person." Looking back to my memories now I understand that it was not something I should have said to the lady, and I was dumb as the knight guy said.
