As Sullivan walked away from the hall, everyone's attention bounced to Damien. Lord Philip cleared the silence as he asked, "Am I going to die?"
A man who looked like he was in his early sixties sitting across from him replied, "I...I don't know what to do with you, Philip. You sure look dead."
Damien looked at Lord Philip and shook his head, trying to understand what the poor man had said for him to deserve this pain. Surely, the duke had decided to talk about the incessant increase in the vampires without his awareness.
It was normal for vampires to want to sire their kind. Many vampires instead of feeding on humans tried to turn them into their slaves, however, no matter what reason he or she could hold, the duke had made it known to them that it was now illegal but some still hideously did it.
