After the disorienting impact, Caden stood up in the crater he had created, still processing the sudden turn of events. He looked up to see several ships flying by overhead, their designs unfamiliar to him. Moments later, a few of these ships landed nearby, and a group of people emerged, armed with weapons unlike any he had seen before.
They approached cautiously, weapons trained on Caden. He raised his hands in a peaceful gesture, trying to defuse the situation. "I mean no harm. I am Prime Arbiter Caden Driver. Please, stand down," he said, his voice calm but firm.
The group exchanged looks, murmuring in a language that was completely foreign to Caden. His universal translator, usually adept at deciphering known languages, offered no help. The language was clearly not part of its database.
