Kyle was still stunned that Andrea had been taken by the police so suddenly. Not something he expected to happen today! Or ever!
She had told him to keep working the case, but it felt impossible to concentrate when all he could think about was Andrea. What she was going through. What they might be asking her. What was going to happen to her. When she would be back. If she would be back!
They had said they weren't arresting her, but what if they did? When would he know? Would the police even tell him?
…Surely she would call him when she was allowed a phone call. He wasn't sure about the legality of being someone's attorney when they were already your attorney, and besides, she'd probably want someone with more experience in defense. But she'd know he wouldn't rest until he'd found her the best lawyer money could buy!
