What she had in mind was quite simple. A biscuit crumb that was literally just smashing up some biscuits—because no baking—and layering the crumbles in a glass with a ready made passion fruit curd that she would happily eat on its own by the spoonful. It really was just the meringue that could be at all tricky.
She began wiping down all the bowls, saucepans and tools she'd use with vinegar to remove any oils, and then set some water and sugar to simmer and left it be.
"Do you have a preference for ice cream or soda flavor?" Kyle called over. He looked more interested in watching her like a microscope than making any progress on his floats.
