Andrea was putting the finishing touches on her hair and makeup before they headed out for the day. Kyle stepped into view of the bathroom door, a necktie loose around his neck.
"Are you almost ready?" he asked.
"I will be in a minute or so," promised Andrea. She was getting more used to the new length, but it had still been a few years since she had to manage short hair. Not that long hair didn't have its own difficulties, just that she was out of practice, and her morning routine was taking a touch longer… and extra bobby pins to hold the delicate twists in place.
Kyle didn't seem to be bothered by the timing, on the contrary, he waited until it was apparent that she was done with her preparations before knotting his tie. The differences were subtle, but he looked like he was dressing up for today even by his usual high standards.
