Kyle hadn't said where they were going, but neither did he make a big deal of it being a secret. So Andrea didn't ask.
Whatever he had in mind, she knew it was a good start when he tossed her a set of keys with a distinct swooping emblem.
Driving the Tim-mobile still had all the thrill she'd felt the first time, but Andrea was able to behave a little less starstruck and a little more restrained. They'd stowed the hardtop before pulling out, and cruising down the highway with the open roof reminded her how refreshing shorter hair could be as it whipped around in the wind.
Andrea wished the winds could blow away the lingering effects of yesterday, but she was happy ignoring what had happened for the time being. The morning had been pleasant, but there was an undeniable undercurrent of pretending that everything was normal. As though if they both pretended hard enough, that would somehow make it true.
