Kyle tried to gauge how Andrea was feeling. She seemed to be holding up. Tense, obviously. In the circumstances, anyone would be. But keeping it under control.
Maybe the difference was the confrontation in her car had been out-of-hours, when they hadn't even been working the case. The suddenness of the dangerous intrusion might have been what had rattled her. They hadn't expected this either, but it had been a growing menace from the moment they first saw the men hanging around their car. There had been time, albeit short, to adjust to the threat.
"Introductions!" cried Sergei. "My name is Sergei, you have already met Yegor and Paval, and we also have Maksim, Ivan, Danil, Gregor, Dimitri and Keith."
Each of the men nodded or waved in turn. Kyle strongly suspected they wouldn't be sharing their names so readily if Sergei intended on letting them go.
"And of course, we have pretty Miss Andrea Mason, and finally…" He gestured to Kyle.
