Andrea had assumed that when Kyle said he would be 'right round the corner,' that he would have headed back to the lobby or somewhere nearby that had seating. But true to his word, he was so close that she nearly walked into him as she rounded the corner.
She wondered for a second if he could have overheard the conversation she just had with Dominic, but he was close enough to the hubbub of the lobby and far enough from the interview rooms that probably wasn't a concern.
Besides, he had found a friend to talk to.
"Welcome back, Hazel," said Kyle. "You remember Officer Maddox?"
Of course, it had only been a few days since Maddox had escorted them round to do interviews at the Castilian.
"Good to see you again, ma'am," said Maddox politely.
Andrea gave him a smile and a nod, but honestly wanted to get Kyle to herself as soon as possible to relate everything that had just been discussed while she remembered as much detail as possible.
