Kyle brought the plates over from the bar to where Andrea was sat at the same table in the corner of Santiago's they had eaten at before.
She gave Kyle a moment to enjoy the first few bites of his meal before asking, "So, I'm on your lockscreen now?"
Kyle hesitated, his mouth full. Then he made a big performance of how he needed to finish chewing before he could respond.
Probably giving himself time to try to think up an explanation.
Kyle held up his finger as he swallowed the last bit, cleared his throat and said. "...Yes."
Andrea waited for him to continue, but it seemed that no further explanation would be forthcoming without further prompting. "For starters, where did you get hold of that picture?"
"The newspaper had a photographer covering the event. I just called them up and paid them for it," explained Kyle, as though that was a perfectly normal thing to do. It certainly sounded like he'd done it before.
