The first thing Andrea saw when she woke up the next morning was a little blue origami tuna on her nightstand. A memento of the night before.
She had rescued it from Kyle's bouquet of dahlias. The flowers might be his, for all that he's arranged them in vase on the dining table, all bright and beautiful, but Andrea's argument was that the fish had been discovered in her ear, and that meant it belonged to her. Kyle tried to cite precedent from the landmark case of Finders vs Keepers, but Andrea had overruled him. He was clearly just pleased to see she wanted it so badly.
Andrea didn't even mind that Kyle was already in the bathroom, again. They were comfortable enough around each other, and so long as they both made sure they didn't run short on clean towels again, the system worked well.
