"Smugging?" Cohen squinted at Kyle. "Is this a professional interest, or are you looking to lay your hands on some cigars? If it's the latter, you probably picked the wrong bar to ask in," he said, waving at the officers playing billiards.
"Professional," Kyle assured him. "We asked you about gang activity the other day, related to our case? Turns out it might involve smuggling."
"This is the same case you're going to be talking to your criminal acquaintance about?" Cohen asked.
Kyle didn't want to let the conversation start going backwards. "Same case, but this side of things has nothing to do with them. The girl we're trying to find is a thief, not a smuggler, but smuggling might be the motivation."
Cohen nodded. "Well now, before we continue, I should ask, smuggling legal or illegal cargo?"
That sounded like a trick question to Kyle. "How would it be smuggling if the cargo was legal?"
