"Although my strength has increased, I lack techniques, but that should not be a big deal. The Five Animal Boxing I have practiced all this time should be put to the test." Though Cheng Shan as he stood near the edge of the forest. With just a step, he could step into the water.
"Even though I am confident, it seems we need to find ways to increase my combat experience in the future. Perhaps it might come in handy and get me out of a difficult situation." He could tell that the Five Animal Boxing was not bad, it was just that he did not know how to exploit its advantages in a real fight.
He was not a strong man who would not require techniques to unleash his strength. To the current him, techniques would allow him to barely manage to unleash more power. Since that was the case, he had to hone them, and battle was the only way to accomplish this.
He was only able to accomplish this by fighting something that was going all out, in other words, a life-and-death match. It was only possible with monsters and there were not enough for him to train with especially in this forest as he had not seen any other creature at the level of the water snake.
Perhaps they exist and he has not seen them, but even so, it would be somewhat wrong for him to say so with certainty. The world itself was mysterious to him, this was especially the case with the fact that a massive snake like this existed. More importantly, the stone he had gotten in the cave was even another strange thing, he had never heard off. So in all honesty, perhaps his lack of knowledge was the issue, but even so, it made him sure the world was much more interesting than he thought.
When Cheng Shan took a step forward he seemed to have already entered the water. He did not restrain himself completely and kept moving along the waters surface, in an unhurried manner. Compared to before, his aura seemed to be slightly weaker, but this was what he had done deliberately.
If others where to see this they would be shocked at the sight of a man walking on the green water surface and in a step he seemed to be 20 meters away. He also seemed to have his head facing the water, as though lost in thought.
Cheng Shan was indeed trying to perceive any sign of danger from below him, as he had managed to evolve the spirit, it seemed to have gifted him the ability. Even though vague, it had some value. He was able to perceive the movement of blood in his body with it, as for outside, perhaps he could use it to detect danger. This was a good thing, but even so, it was not as capable of showing him the kind of danger that was approaching.
Since he was confident off course he was not going to act out and scare the snake away, as such it seemed like he was rushing to reach the other end. Without even waiting for long, he felt it, the water below him was shaking and causing waves to rise, before a massive head popped out directly near where he was.
"Here it is!" Cheng Shan seemed excited and did not waste time at all, as his figure rushed to the side fast. He seemed to have avoided it, and when he looked at the massive snake again, he seemed to be calm.
He could see that it had indeed a massive body, but the pressure it was releasing seemed weaker compared to the clone. Even so, he did not seem to have any interest in observing it further, and he moved forward, before punching straight towards it.
The moment this punch was unleashed, the power even shocked him as the snake seemed to have also come forward to meet him head on, this resulted in a massive 'boom' sound.
When he steadied himself after retreating three steps, he could see massive creature floating on the surface. More importantly, the water surface seemed to be slowly starting to turn red.
Looking at the situation before him, he seemed to have some doubts, "Has it ended just like this!" Without even thinking much he moved around and seemed to confirm it was not moving, as such he unleashed another punch just to be sure.
The moment he did it, he was sure he heard the sound of something breaking. When he was able to confirm that the snake was really dead, as such he moved near and he was shocked to find that he could pull it easily.
When he reached the other end, he observed the snake and could see a massive tear close to 3 meters and a massive hole.
Just seeing this made him more shocked, "Is this the kind of power I have gained from just undergoing nine transformations. It seems that in the end I have to learn to control this kind of power, but before that, it is best to try and undergo the 10th transformation. He had a feeling that once it happened, the benefits would be immense.
"Lets move this out of this place first." As he dragged the snake he moved further away, seemingly taking the direction to the opposite he had come from. If he followed this path, it would not be hard to be able to go back to the path he took when he entered the forest. It was however not his goal, as he reached an open ground and stopped dragging the snake,
With the current state of the snake, it did not take him much effort to dissect it, and remove some of the internal organs, and he got himself hold of the snake.
Without much delay he took out the spleen and consumed it raw like that, and to his surprise, it had intense reactions spreading outwards in his body.
The most shocking thing was that the snake spleen seemed to release massive amount of unique substance that when reached his cells, they seemed more active, and thus a sensation slightly different from when he underwent a transformation seemed to happen. It was so quick, and passed by just like an illusion, but he could perceive this change.
Without even bothering about anything else, he gathered the nearby wood and started to roast the snake meat.
When he roasted the meat, it was obvious that some of the aroma seemed to attract some creatures but the pressure from the snake body still had most of the creatures afraid of approaching.
Time passed by so fast, and without knowing it, he had been consuming the meat with only bones pilled up to the side.
Close to a quarter of the meat on the snake had been consumed but Cheng Shan did not seem to stop eating, the most shocking thing even for him was that he could feel that the food being consumed did not seem to fill his stomach.
The energy from the snake was massive though, he could actually feel it shuttling through his body without even having to run any exercises. He was certain that he had made the right choice, with time he would be able to improve slightly. He did not seem to be in a hurry, rather he continued to consume the meat. He was already planning to practice as he consumed the meat, but when he realized that his body was slowly dividing up the energy from the creature. The energy kept spreading from the stomach towards every other part and the cells seemed to be cheering, but it was not allowing to take that step at all.
In the forest, the sound of the chewing was what seemed to be echoing in the location that Cheng Shan was located. When he finally managed to consume more than half of the snake meat, he seemed to be burping.,
"It seems that my body has indeed reached its limit. It is time to practice and absorb the excessive energy, but why is it that the previous energy seemed to have all been taken up by my cells. Don't tell me in the past because of the rapid transformations something was missing and the massive amounts of energy are being used to make up for it? Or is it like to reach the tenth transformation I need a massive accumulation, if that is the case, then it would be impossible for me to undergo the transformation even after completely consuming this snake. Perhaps I still need to work harder in the future, but this should be able to allow me to reduce the requirements on the final transformation."
Cheng Shan was not foolish and could feel it, but this did not seem to make him panicked in any way, her was going to leave the forest after he completed consuming this snake meat, as for the final transformation, he decided to let it happen slowly.
It would also be a good time to practice on how to control his strength, while at the same time trying to figure out exactly how strong he had become.
It was only at this moment that he reacted, his senses where super enhanced this in itself did not seem to be something in the category of human abilities at all. Hearing things a few miles away for instance was already insane, he thus decided to focus on finding out more about his strength while at the same time gathering information that would allow him to gather more attribute points.
