Max's point of view
Time seemed to be passing quickly, and Priscilla had been silent. She hadn't shed a tear, which worried me. She didn't speak to anyone or allow anyone near Marrison, not even me. I knew she was in a lot of pain after Madelyn's death, and Nelly escaping the house made it even harder to find her.
I instructed my men to search for Nelly, but they couldn't locate her. I couldn't comprehend how someone could be so cruel as to kill their own child. Nelly showed no maternal instincts. I understand she lost her baby, but why harm my children? It was Priscilla's madness that saved Marrison. If we had followed the doctors' advice, all my children would have perished. I never imagined I was once married to someone like Nelly. She was worse than a devil. She has caused me a lot of pain in this lifetime. The next time I see her, I will definitely kill her with my own hands. My poor child died at such a young age without experiencing the world.
