Max's POV
I let out a sigh as I closed my laptop after spending the day in the office creating new designs for my important clients. I missed Priscilla dearly and longed to hold her close, but recent events had left me feeling angry and worried. I couldn't believe she had gone off without informing me, putting herself in danger. I hoped that my silent treatment would help her realize her mistake.
My phone interrupted my thoughts, and I saw that Liz was calling. I answered quickly and listened as she informed me that Priscilla had drowned at the beach. Panic surged through me as I grabbed my car keys and rushed out of the office, the empty building echoing my urgency. I drove to the location Liz had sent, praying that Priscilla was safe. I couldn't bear the thought of something happening to her, especially after ignoring her all day.
