May closed the last box. I looked around the flat, now empty. May sat beside me on the bed.
May: This is... really sad.
I looked around the room, multiple memories came to mind, but they all hurt.
We sat down, none of us saying anything. May looked down and noticed my hand, shaking. May hesitated at first, before slowly and gently holding my hand. I held her hand back and she pulled me in for a hug as I cried again. May let me cry as much as I needed and I cried as much as I could that day.

May walked me to T.H.E.P.A.'s train station. My train to America was leaving. My stuff were already boarded. May and I stood by the train doors.
May: So umm... this is it.
Harlan: Yeah.
May looked at me, then put her hand on my cheek.
May: I'm sorry.
I just nodded.
May: Look, if you ever need me, I...-
Harlan: I know, I know. As you always have.
May tried to move in for a hug, but I don't know why but I moved back. May stopped, and stepped back as well, regretting the decision. She slowly held her hand out for a handshake.
I remember looking down at the hand. To this day, this memory haunts me. This memory makes me regret how I wanted to take the hand, and pull my best friend for a hug, one last time, when I had the chance... and how I wish I never took one look at it, and just walked in the train, and never looked back.
I boarded the train, and took a seat as much as possible, alone. I didn't want anyone to be with me. I put my hand in my pocket and pulled out the photograph of Clair. I took one last look at it, and a tear fell. I pulled out my diary, and placed the photo inside, before putting it back in, and went to sleep, dreaming of nothing.
