Year: 2011

Harlan took a deep breath. He inhaled, then exhaled.

Harlan looked at his reflection: beaten, bruised, bleeding. He washed the blood off his hand but his hand was still a shade of blood-red. He put back on his white polo, which was covered in blood, as he listened to the men on the radio.

Robbie: MEN MOVE TO CAR THREE! TARGET IS IN CAR THREE!

    Harlan took the walkie-talkie.

      Robbie: Carrow, you in position?

Harlan: I'm sorry, Carrow isn't here.

      Silence.

      Robbie: Who is this?

Harlan: You know who I am. You know who I am the same way I know you have men stationed outside this very room right now, all waiting for your order to kick down the door and take me.

    Silence.

    Robbie: What do you want?

Harlan: Leave. Tell your men to go and leave. I really don't want things to get messy. Well, more messy.

    Robbie: Where's Carrow?

Harlan turns to the corner of the bathroom to see a man gagged and tied up. Carrow.

Harlan: He's here. Would you like to hear him talk?

Harlan removes the cloth tied to his mouth and puts the walkie-talkie down, next to Carrow.

Robbie: Carrow, CARROW! CARROW ARE YOU THERE?

Harlan watches as Carrow tears up.

Carrow: I'm sorry boss. I'm sorry.

Harlan loads his gun, aims it at Carrow and shoots. Blood splatters on the wall and on the walkie-talkie. Harlan picks it up.

    Harlan: There goes Carrow.

    Robbie: DO IT!

The bathroom door is kicked down. Harlan takes a grenade from his pocket and unpins it. Men in military gear go in and assault Harlan. The grenade lets off smoke, blinding the men.

After a few minutes, one of the men takes off his goggles and looks around. Dead bodies everywhere, all beaten and bloody. He looks around cautious, scared. Suddenly, he feels a dagger pierce through his back. Blood comes out of his mouth and Harlan retracts the blade and slits the man's throat.

Harlan dropped the knife and looked at the bathroom. Full of dead bodies on the floor, blood on the wall, toilet, sink and on the cracked mirror. He looked at his hand, all covered in blood, and so did his face on his reflection. Harlan looked at his reflection with anger, rage, vengeance, and no empathy.

Harlan heard more men coming his way and knew he had to act now. He walked out the bathroom and to a door. He opened it and stepped out.

Harlan held on tight to the train. He looked ahead and saw the train approaching a bridge. Harlan adjusted his position and climbed up to the roof of the train.

He eventually reached the top and planted himself on the roof. He took his watch and twisted the crown. The watch then started glowing bright neon green. Harlan then got up.

As he got up though, gunshot. Harlan looked back and saw more men getting up to the roof of the train. Harlan cursed and ran his way towards them.

The men got up the train and ensued in a fight with Harlan. Harlan took them on one by one, with no sign of mercy. Harlan punched each of them with every once of strength, anger and hate inside of him. And each hit on him only amplified them. One by one, Harlan threw or kicked them off the train when only one of them remained, Robbie.

Harlan looked at Robbie with spite.

Harlan: I told you to leave

Robbie: Those were my men you killed.

    Harlan: Care to join them?

Robbie tried to reach for his gun but Harlan charged at him. Harlan lunged at Robbie and they fall on the roof of the train. Harlan got on top of Robbie and started punching over and over again. The white roof of the train got redder and redder as more blood came out of Robbie.

Robbie kicks Harlan and the kick pushes Harlan back. Robbie gets up and punches Harlan in the cheeks and kicks Harlan off the train. Harlan out of luck, grabs on to the edge of the roof of the moving train. Harlan looks down and sees the bridge nearby and a river under it.

Robbie stands up and aims his gun down at Harlan.

    Robbie: This is for Carrow.

Harlan reaches his hand into his pocket, and finds what he was looking for. Before Robbie could pull the trigger, Harlan pulls himself up a bit, and takes a pen out his pocket and stabs Robbie's hand with it. As Robbie screams in pain, the train reached the bridge, and Harlan lets go. Harlan falls from the train, past the bridge, and lands in the river.
