Chapter 74 - Essential Violence for Progress Part 2

(Marvel, DC, images, manhuas, and every anime that will be mentioned and used in this story are not mine. They all belong to their respective owners. The main character "Karito Josue Valdez" and the story are mine)

The warehouse, a clandestine haven for the Darks and their captive children, suffered a devastating fracture. Some among the Darks were nimble enough to evade the calamity, while others, the more colossal figures, plummeted into the grimy depths of the undercity's murky waters.

(Dark Morlun) "He actually tore the building in two and appeared to have calculated the precise location for doing so. The vault where the children are is entirely unscathed."

(Dark Red G???) "What concerns me is the whereabouts of Vander and Vi. The Spider most likely augmented their weapons or provided them with some sort of buff to contend with the Dark Soldiers while he confronts us."

(Dark K????) "How on earth does he intend to accomplish that? Furthermore, where is Hercules? I thought you had summoned him."

(Dark Morlun) "I did, but it appears he's once again indulging in some erotic realm. You know how much of a womanizer he can be."

(Dark Red G???) "Tch, he should arrive shortly. Juggernaut and Mangog will keep the Spider occupied."

(Dark K????) "Indeed, they possess considerable strength. Mangog is formidable enough to contend with Thor and Odin simultaneously, and Juggernaut? He can rupture the very fabric of time and space. The Spider stands little chance against them."

As the remaining Darks on the surface concluded their discourse with a solemn nod, they beheld an astonishing sight: the entire lake had been sundered in twain by a single clap from Juggernaut, aided by Mangog's control over the forces of Darkness, freezing the water in place like two colossal tsunamis. Amid this spectacle, their attention was drawn to the iconic visage of Spider-Man. With no inkling of hesitation, Juggernaut embarked on his customary rampage, charging headlong toward the arachnid hero, embodying the indomitable force he was renowned to be.

Yet, to Juggernaut's surprise, Spider-Man took off in a headlong sprint directly toward him.

The Juggernaut couldn't help but raise a sardonic grin. Was the Spider truly initiating a contest of sheer strength with him? The fucking Juggernaut?! As crimson and obsidian energies swirled around the mutant, the very ground trembled beneath his colossal steps.

(Dark Juggernaut) "HAHAHA! COME ON, SPIDER-MAN!"

(Spider-Man) "..."

The mutant elevated his massive fist, poised to sunder the very tapestry of time and space in a devastating blow aimed squarely at the Spider's countenance. In a surprising turn of events, the crimson-clad hero initiated an action that left all witnesses astounded. With a deft snap of his fingers, the spatial region surrounding the hero warped and distorted, his prodigious hacking prowess unleashed in full force. What unfolded before Juggernaut was an abrupt and mystifying glitch, as if the very laws of reality faltered and wavered.

In the blink of an eye, Mangog had replaced Spider-Man's position. Both combatants gawked in astonishment, caught off-guard by the unexpected turn of events. This dramatic twist further underscored the fact that Spider-Man had long concealed the full extent of his formidable abilities. Just as Juggernaut was committed to his punch, the die was cast, his fist connecting violently with Mangog's visage.

The repercussions were profound. Time and space itself contorted under the titanic impact, convulsing the undercity and Piltover above. As the earth quaked with unparalleled intensity, an explosive confluence of energy erupted, sending Mangog hurtling through the air. He plowed through multiple buildings, a trail of destruction left in his wake. Swiveling around, Juggernaut seethed with wrath, coming to terms with the harsh reality that he had been outwitted by the hero. The truth, unpleasant as it was, lay bare: he was no paragon of intellect.

(Dark Juggernaut) "YOU DARE TAKE ME FOR A FOOL, SPIDER-MAN?! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!"

Spider-Man's reaction was unequivocal. His demeanor, despite its confident air, remained nonchalant. In an overtly provocative manner, he raised his right hand, extending his open palm upward, and beckoned Juggernaut with a taunting "come on" gesture. This brash defiance did far more than merely irk the Juggernaut; it incensed him beyond measure. Driven to the brink, he unleashed the full extent of his powers, embracing the relentless might of Cyttorak. Now, his singular intent was to annihilate the arachnid hero, regardless of the cost.

(Dark Trion Juggernaut) "YOU'RE FUCKING DEAD!!!"

(Spider-Man) "Oh fuck, this is bad... this is really bad."

Juggernaut raised his colossal hands, conjuring a relentless barrage of crimson energy blasts directed at Spider-Man. The arachnid hero swiftly engaged his hyper sense, employing his extraordinary agility to evade the incoming onslaught of energy projectiles. As he deftly navigated through the deadly storm, Juggernaut suddenly surged forward with remarkable velocity, aimed directly at Spider-Man. Fortunately, the hero's hyper sense rendered the mutant's movement transparent, and Juggernaut passed through a mere afterimage, tackling nothing but a fleeting illusion.

Swift to capitalize on this advantageous position, Spider-Man latched onto Juggernaut's back, his intent to employ his hacking and magnetism abilities to dematerialize the mutant's helmet. However, Juggernaut detected the intrusion and executed a daring maneuver, rotating in a swift descent that led to a forceful collision with the ground, leaving devastation in his wake. For the hero, each passing moment was agonizing as he clung to the mutant's back, enduring the friction of his body against the unforgiving surface. Yet, he persisted in his mission, determined to unseat Juggernaut's helmet.

Suddenly, his heightened spider-sense alerted him to a formidable alteration in Juggernaut's form. The mutant began to swell in size, expanding into a titanic behemoth. Panic surged through the hero as he swiftly activated his lateral repulsion to create distance, aware of the impending threat. However, a colossal shadow enveloped him, and as he glanced to his right, he beheld Juggernaut's gargantuan hand poised to swat him away with relentless force.

The moment of impact birthed a seismic shockwave, catapulting the arachnid hero through the labyrinthine structures of the underground city, his destructive path transcending Piltover itself.

With unyielding resolve, Spider-Man clenched his teeth, expelling a vast webbing network into two adjacent buildings before entwining them, and he repeated this process. The potent kinetic energy he amassed through the successive slingshot maneuvers propelled him from one end of Piltover to the other, ultimately traversing the entire underground city.

As Juggernaut's colossal form loomed ever more distinctly in Spider-Man's sight, the arachnid hero made an instantaneous decision. He synchronized the charge of a Venom punch with a Venom blast, blending the two potent abilities seamlessly. Employing his lateral repulsion and magnetism, Spider-Man positioned himself above ground, harnessing exceptional momentum for what lay ahead.

While hurtling through the air, the hero's mind raced with strategic considerations. Confronting an unstoppable force like Juggernaut demanded precision and intellect, as mere physical attacks would prove futile unless he could exploit a moment of vulnerability. With decisive intent, he invoked an ability, chanting 'Limit Breaker times 50,' imposing self-restrictions to ensure he could endure the forthcoming battle.

Juggernaut, now caught in the crosshairs of Spider-Man's determined onslaught, roared with unbridled fury. The mutant hurled a cataclysmic punch toward his airborne adversary, his very movement generating tremors and shockwaves that rippled through the surroundings. Displaying a mastery of spatial manipulation, the hero deftly teleported atop Juggernaut's head. He pinpointed a minuscule gap that had formed during his prior dematerialization of the mutant's helmet.

With a primal scream, Spider-Man unleashed the full force of his Venom punch upon the colossal visage of Juggernaut. The result transcended mere chaos—it was a miracle. Recognizing the potential devastation his attack might wreak upon the surroundings, the hero, utilizing his formidable hacking abilities, skillfully redirected the impact's course as it descended. The colossal collision ceased its downward path and suddenly arced upward, tearing asunder the overcast sky. A blinding beam of electricity pierced the heavens, casting a luminous spectacle akin to a secondary sun before vanishing into the boundless void of space.

(Dark Trion Juggernaut) "You scared me for a second there. That was one flashy move. But you should know that anything physical doesn't work on me, Spider-Man!"

(Spider-Man) "I made you flinch."

(Dark Trion Juggernaut) "What?"

(Spider-Man) "I know I can't physically hurt you, not this version of you at least. But you've always been weak to mental attacks."

(Dark Trion Juggernaut) "NO!"

(Spider-Man) "Yes! Now that I'm inside your helmet, I will cut your connection to Cyttorak and fucking fry your brain, giving you an aneurysm! One that will kill you!"

The mutant's eyes widened in awe as he beheld the extent of Spider-Man's abilities. The arachnid hero's reputation for hacking prowess was infamous and for good reason. It was an unfair, game-changing power—something that had even disrupted Ultron's connection to the Darkness, a feat that remained an enigma to the most formidable of Darks. The realization that Spider-Man's plan to temporarily separate him and Mangog, giving him an opportunity to eliminate one of the two, had succeeded—especially in tricking Juggernaut, whose gargantuan might left him exposed. Spider-Man was under no illusion about his capacity to kill Mangog; merely incapacitating him temporarily was the most realistic objective. Recognizing that Mangog was a battle he was ill-equipped to win, the arachnid hero aimed to avoid a direct confrontation. Now that he had set the stage, the target was Juggernaut—before the monstrous force's return from a few dimensions away, caused by Juggernaut's disruption of time and space and Spider-Man's subsequent efforts to restore the fractured barriers.

With his hands shuddering from a chaotic surge of glitches, Spider-Man rested them on the colossal head of Juggernaut. His hacking skills penetrated the mutant's brain, initiating a rapid process of shattering the connection between Juggernaut and the malevolent forces of Cyttorak and the Darkness. The Spider perceived the diminishing potency of Juggernaut's power, accompanied by a decrease in the mutant's immense size. As Juggernaut returned to his normal stature, he collapsed to the ground, convulsing uncontrollably. The hero neared the completion of the intricate procedure, but suddenly, his heightened spider-sense sounded an alarm. A portal materialized beside him, and in a fraction of a second, he detected a lethal claw hurtling toward him. Spider-Man executed a nimble evasion, narrowly avoiding the attack. However, the strike's sheer force exceeded his expectations. The swing ceased, but in its wake, it generated a cataclysmic gust of wind so formidable that it conjured images of a hurricane's devastation. The hero tumbled across the floor before recovering with a graceful backflip, steadying himself on his feet. Drawing a deep breath, he cast a glance behind him, discovering an entire forest near the undercity had been obliterated, while a mountain had been cleaved in two by the tremendous force unleashed in that fateful moment.

(Spider-Man) "Well, color me impressed by how you managed NOT to hit the city."

(Dark Mangog) "You goddamn smartass." Exits the portal and looks at juggernaut "He's down for now. You actually played us for fools."

(Spider-Man) "I had too, with the kind of opponents I'm up against." Disappears

(Dark Mangog) "Oh no, you don't!" Does the same

Spider-Man devised a strategy to confront the remaining Darks within the fractured warehouse. His plan encompassed a means to deal with the formidable adversaries Red Goblin and Morlun, but he remained wary when it came to the first Spider-Man, Kwaku Anansi, a Spider-God hailing from Africa. There was the unsettling concern that Anansi might possess the capability to strip away his Spider-powers, similar to what he had done to Spider-Man and the other spider-people from the 616-Earth, with the notable exception of Miles Morales. Thus, Spider-Man proceeded with caution.

In the midst of his preparations, Spider-Man attempted to unleash a venom blast against his adversaries. Yet, Mangog astutely intercepted his attack, delivering a crushing blow squarely to the hero's ribcage. The impact hurled Spider-Man through the remnants of the warehouse, and he executed a skilled mid-air spin before making an unceremonious landing, carving a trail of disrupted cement in his wake. Gasping for air, his mouth unveiled, he expelled a mouthful of blood. As expected, the sheer might of Mangog's strikes proved devastating. The hero now recognized the imperative need for caution, sensing that Morlun was poised to join the conflict and potentially replace Juggernaut in this perilous confrontation.

(Spider-Man) "Shit... I hope those finished their part." Mask covers his mouth

Vi Pov

To say that I'm in shock with what is happening is an understatement. Before any of this happened, Karito teleported us near the building where the others were being held. But before he did anything, he did... something strange. It felt like I existed and didn't exist at the same time— it's confusing, and I don't even want to think about it. Though, Karito did give us an objective: he's going to "distract" the enemy while we secretly make our way to the "cell" where they were placed. Honestly, how did Karito perfectly calculate where exactly he should break the entire building in two? I guess he's just smart; I don't know.

Anyways, as we continued our way to liberate Powder and the others, we ran into a bit of trouble, which Karito somehow predicted. It was some lowlifes and some... creatures? I don't know what they are, but they are red and look ugly. Karito gave me a set of gauntlets; they look like Vander's, but he said they were... "Blessed"? Whatever that means.

(Vander) "Okay, Kid. Remember, we are here to save the others. So drop these bastards down quickly." Takes a Boxer stance "Watch my back."

(Vi) "Alright, let's kick some ass."

The first lowlife came running towards us with a tube in hand. Vander was unfazed, and with a quick sidestep, he landed a jab at the man's face, quickly knocking him out. Another came from the side in an attempt to take us by surprise, but I spotted him. Clenching my teeth and using my strength, I threw an uppercut, one that lifted the guy from the ground and crashed him into the floor. My heart was beating fast; I felt the adrenaline coursing through me. I'm not stopping until my family is safe.

One of those monsters launched towards Vander. He noticed the incoming tackle, but the red creature proved to be very resilient, tackling Vander to the ground. A struggle happened, but Vander's gauntlets crackled with energy, and electricity shot out from his gauntlets, pushing the monster back. He quickly got up, and with a Superman punch, he completely disintegrated it.

(Vander) "So Karito gave us a boost in power? Hehe... Nice." Focuses "We need to hurry, Karito wasn't so sure how long he can keep their eyes on them."

(Vi) "Alright."

We quickly dispatched the rest of the group, which wasn't many— at least around 15 guys, half of them being these strange red monsters. Luckily, whatever boost Karito gave us quickly got rid of them. I'm pretty sure it would've been a bit harder to take them down if we didn't have these "Blessings."

Also, for some strange reason, Karito told us not to "think" too much? The explanation he gave is because they will "see"? He talks in riddles, and it confuses the fuck out of me. Seriously, just tell me, why so damn secretive? It's been nothing but secrets with him since he revealed himself to be Spider-Man. It's like I don't know him anymore. The goofy and funny Karito is now just a gloomy and serious one.

I... Okay. That's enough overthinking. I should focus; we are nearing the room where the other three are. The supervillains didn't notice us, luckily.

No Pov

So that's what they where doing...

Oh, my apologies reader.

Several minutes passed. Spider-Man engaged in a relentless battle against Morlun and Mangog, his tactical maneuvers becoming increasingly desperate. Meanwhile, Kwaku Anansi took it upon himself to heal Juggernaut, a task that visibly irked Spider-Man. The Spider-God's attention seemed momentarily fixed on an unseen focal point, his gaze directed forward with a peculiar intensity.

In a sudden shift of focus, Kwaku turned his attention toward the Red Goblin, who reciprocated the gesture with a nod before vanishing into the shadows. Returning his gaze to Spider-Man and his formidable adversaries, Kwaku Anansi couldn't help but perceive an air of desperation in the arachnid hero's maneuvers. It seemed as if Spider-Man recognized an imminent threat and sought to reach the warehouse, only to be thwarted repeatedly by Mangog and Morlun.

Having completed his healing procedures, Kwaku Anansi rose to his feet and positioned himself near the warehouse, a formidable barrier denying passage to anyone attempting to breach it. His gaze fell to the ground, where he discerned the presence of "letters" that seemed to hold significance. A subtle smile played on Kwaku's lips as he comprehended the intricate interplay of narrative elements, the convergence of storylines creating a narrative amalgamation. He delicately touched these symbolic "letters," poised on the cusp of unraveling the unfolding narrative.

[ERROR 404: NARRATIVE NOT FOUND]

Sentences stuttered and fragmented, with words distorted like echoes in a malfunctioning system. The smooth flow of the story now resembled a broken code, creating an unsettling atmosphere within the narrative.

[SYSTEM MALFUNCTION: UNEXPECTED CHARACTER INTRUSION]

[DATA CORRUPTION DETECTED: RECONSTRUCTING NARRATIVE PATH]

[UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: NARRATIVE COLLISION]

Kwaku Anansi's voice echoed ominously, resonating through the shattered corridors of the narrative itself.

"Now, how should I break the story of these two universes?"

A disconcerting chill filled the void as the narrator questioned this intruder.

"Who is this?"

But Kwaku Anansi, draped in shadows, silenced the narrator with a demand that carried a malevolent undertone.

"Narrator, be silent for a moment."

Desperation laced the narrator's protest, knowing that something unimaginable was transpiring.

"No! You can't do this! How did you even gain access to the narrative of these dimensional stories?!"

A sinister chuckle cut through the air, an unsettling reply that resonated with darkness.

"I'm a Dark, what can't I do?"

The protest grew more fervent, a plea against the impending chaos.

"You're confusing the reader! You can't!"

But Kwaku Anansi's response dripped with indifference.

"I don't care what the reader thinks, Narrator. Their emotions, feelings are just fuel to us. Now, forget that I'm here and continue your job."

The narrative's resistance reached its peak, met with an agonizing cry.

"NO! AAHHH!"

...

...

...

On the tumultuous battlefield, Spider-Man deftly parried another relentless strike from Mangog. The sheer force of the blow propelled him across the ground, causing a cacophony as he crashed through adjacent houses. Undeterred, the resilient hero swiftly rose, anticipating Morlun's imminent approach. Spider-Man deployed a web, extricating himself from the crumbling structure moments before Morlun, in a single punch, generated a devastating shockwave that pulverized the dwelling.

In a display of acrobatics, the hero maneuvered mid-air and hurtled himself toward Morlun. Activating his stingers, imbued with the lethal combination of electricity and hacking prowess, Spider-Man exploited Morlun's vulnerability to radiation. The vampire reacted swiftly, evading the charged attack, but the relentless hero executed a mid-air spin, leveraging lateral repulsion to collide forcefully with Morlun. Wasting no time, Spider-Man thrust his stinger into the vampire, eliciting a cry of agony.

Panicking, Morlun transformed into a swarm of bats, seeking refuge. Undeterred, Spider-Man exploited his magnetism, disassembling an entire house and hurling debris toward the evasive bats. Many succumbed to the assault, dissipating into nothingness. However, as the pressure intensified, Morlun reverted to his original form. Seizing the opportunity, Spider-Man closed in for the final blow. Yet, Mangog intervened, seizing the hero's leg and forcefully drawing him closer.

Despite Spider-Man's desperate attempts to escape, Mangog's unyielding grip prevailed. A powerful punch connected with the hero's visage, disrupting the very heavens above. Swiftly, Spider-Man utilized his magnetism to regain stability, weaving through the perilous skies. Perceiving imminent danger, the hero unleashed a barrage of webs, evading a descending assault from Morlun, ensnaring him in electrified strands. Morlun, weakened by the prior radiation exposure, struggled to break free.

In a final bid for escape, Morlun managed to shatter the webs and seize Spider-Man, propelling the trio into a freefall. Their tumultuous descent culminated in a thunderous collision with the warehouse, scattering them in separate directions. Panting heavily, Spider-Man, concealed beneath his suit, revealed the telltale signs of battle, though the healing touch of Toxin alleviated the injuries. Morlun bore a grievous wound on his left shoulder, and Mangog, largely unscathed, emerged from the wreckage. Spider-Man's demeanor betrayed a sense of desperation, bordering on the animalistic, as he grappled with the realization that something grievously amiss transpired on the battlefield—a malevolent game played by the enigmatic Darks, threatening to distort the very fabric of the intertwined universes.

(Spider-Man) Thoughts "Shit, Goblin knows where Vi and Vander are. And the other asshole is unraveling everything. How the hell am I supposed to handle this? Goddamn it!"

(Dark Morlun) "You appear quite desperate, Spider." Tilts his head. "It's only a matter of time before everyone here succumbs, and we birth a corrupted universe by melding the two together." he states

(Dark Mangog) "Just admit it; you can't win. Your struggle here is futile."

(Spider-Man) "NO! I won't accept this! I'm not losing, not again!"

(Dark Mangog) "Oh? So that's it? Your guilt still gnaws at you." Smirks

(Spider-Man) "Shut up..."

(Dark Morlun) "Losing everyone you know and love, with just a snap. Those emotions you felt must've shattered your mind, right?" He mocks

(Spider-Man) "Shut... Up!" Holds his head.

(Dark Mangog) "Losing the universe you were supposed to protect. An infinite number of people counting on you, and you FAILED them just like that."

(Dark Morlun) "You probably had the worst upbringing a hero could've had. Your sense of morality was twisted, the things you did to come this far, all the people you've lost. It's amusing how people blame the author for it, when it was actually us who dismantled your life from the beginning."

(Spider-Man) "What?"

(Dark Mangog) "Did you truly believe this was orchestrated by the author? He doesn't even know what to do half the time because we continuously change the story. HE doesn't have control over us. Did you honestly think surviving those encounters was pure luck? Nonsense! We pitted existence itself against you while the author did everything possible to keep you alive! It's honestly hilarious how far you've come. We could've sworn you would've perished in the first fight. But you didn't, so we persisted in ruining your life. Every glimmer of hope you thought you found, we swiftly extinguished."

(Dark Morlun) "Honestly, you've surprised us. We admit we underestimated you severely. But now, we've chosen a different approach. I just wonder, will you be ridiculed or judged again? That will be a sight to see."

(Spider-Man) "You..."

(Dark Morlun) "Huh? Speak up!"

(Spider-Man) "I thought the Author had cursed me... but you guys made my life like this? You... made everything a living hell. Made me do things that make me question myself. Committed acts that, to this day, haunt my dreams." His suit starts to writhe violently. "You... Darks... How dare you... HOW FUCKING DARE YOU!!!!"

With a visceral howl, a symbiotic maw emerged, distorting his form into a more grotesque visage. The liquid of his typical attire contorted and transformed, no longer resembling the familiar contours of his original Spider-suit. Succumbing once again to the tumult of his emotions, Spider-Man unleashed the latent power within him and Toxin, invoking the formidable ability known as "Rage Mode."

(Spider-Man & Toxin) "COME ON, YOU BASTARDS!"

Pov Vander

I've been feeling too strange. I don't know how to explain it. It's like my soul is being torn apart, my memories are being distorted—I can't even explain it. Everything that's going on has been so bizarre. My surroundings have been appearing, disappearing, or changing into something else entirely. Whatever these monsters Karito is facing are, they are more dangerous than I thought. He did tell me before; he warned me about them, but honestly, I didn't think they would be powerful enough to break space-time, which Karito tried to explain, but I'm not a guy of science. I just know that it's bad enough that the world could be destroyed.

Damn it! What is the point of this shit? If Karito doesn't defeat them or figure out how to fix this, there's no point in saving the kids because if he fails, it'll all be pointless.

No! Don't think like that, Vander! Ugh! What the hell is wrong with me?

For a moment, I wasn't myself; it was like someone else took over.

Shit, this situation is worse than I thought. We need to get the kids and get out of here so Karito doesn't have to worry about us.

(Vi) Motions Vander "Vander! I found the vault. It's exactly how Karito said it'll look like!"

(Vander) "Good, let's get it open."

Just as we where about to pry open the Vault, we heard something behind us. The two of us turned around and we spotted one of the Supervillains, one that resembles a Goblin, a red one at that. But his mere presence already extrudes an intimidating aura. Looks like Karito wasn't able to distract them all.

I think this is where we die... huh?

If that's the case, I won't let him reach Vi. Even if I have to give my life doing so. I just have to hope that Karito will make it in time to save them.

I took a deep breath, and my gauntlets emit electricity. With one movement, I slid opened the vault and pushed Vi inside and purposely melted the sides with the gauntlets electricity sticking it to the floor. Now the vault shouldn't be able to slide open. Even though, I hope Vi doesn't tear it down.

(Vi) Panicked "Vander! What are you doing?!"

(Vander) "Free the kids and get out of her! I'll buy you time!"

(Vi) "W-What?! No! We can take him together-!"

(Vander) "SHUT UP AND LISTEN! PLEASE! Just listen."

(Vi) Bites her lips "...I... Okay... I'll free the others... Just... Please... Please live... Dad..."

Ah... Why did she have to say that? Now I feel obligated to give it my all. Shit. Children really do change people.

Just as I was about to face this Red Goblin, Silco emerged from the shadows. His power emanating from him. His appearance now different because he accepted the power from these bastards. He's like some evil wizard of pure Darkness.

(Dark Silco) "Vander. Please. Don't make us do this."

(Vander) "Do what? Kill me? Even with these new friends, you won't win."

(Dark Silco) "I don't think you realize how bad this situation actually is."

(Vander) "Enlighten me."

(Dark Silco) "Vander. We can finally do it. Our vision! Our dream! We can make the nation of Zaun! With these powers, I can create a world where Zaun was never stepped on by Piltover. Can't you see that? I can finally give us what we deserve!"

(Vander) "So... you're willing to destroy two worlds. Entire planets! For what?! Pride?!"

(Dark Silco) "For respect! Opportunity. For everything they've denied us!"

(Vander) "You had my respect! The Lane's respect! And now look at you! I can't even recognize you anymore!"

(Dark Silco) "We shared a vision, Vander! A dream of freedom. We don't have to keep dreaming anymore. Because it's possible now. All of the underground is going to be united as a nation worthy of respect. The nation... of Zaun."

(Vander) "It's not going to be the same... It's just going to be a twisted existence of one..."

(Dark Silco) "No... It will be... Perfect. And when you die... I won't even be sad... do you know why?"

(Vander) "...Why?"

(Dark Silco) "Because this version of you... the one that betrayed me... I will change you into one that I can trust with my life, we will be... Brothers."

(Vander) "What the actual hell are you talking about?"

(Dark Silco) "I will make you perfect, Vander. I will make you exactly what you were meant to be. Everyone will be... free."

(Vander) "Tch... you actually lost it."

(Dark Red Goblin) "Are you done with your chatter?"

(Dark Silco) "Yes, Norman. Please, do what must be done."

(Dark Red Goblin) Smiles Devilishly "Oh... You don't have to tell me twice, my friend."

In the quiet surrender of my last stand, a wave of emotions engulfs me.

Regret claws at my soul, for there are lessons left unspoken, moments unshared with my cherished children.

Life, it seems, is seldom fair.

A profound hope lingers; a hope that my children will blossom into extraordinary individuals. From the heavens, I yearn to witness the reflection of their greatness and feel the swell of pride in my heart.

Vi...Powder... Oh, my beloved girls. You, my dear daughters, fill this aging heart with an indescribable pride.

Mylo... Claggor... Forge yourselves into men of unwavering respect. The seeds of potential lie within you.

My precious children...

Such a poignant feeling...

Karito... Please, be their guardian in my stead.

To all of you, my love flows ceaselessly. You were the radiant beams that illuminated the darkest corners of my existence.

I yearn to utter these words before...

Before...

I embrace the inevitable embrace of death.

(Dark Red Goblin) "Are you ready to meet Aurelion Sol? HAHAHA!" He laughs sinisterly.

(Vander) "I may not know who that is, but I won't fall without a fight!"

(Dark Red Goblin) "COME ON, THEN!"

Vi Pov

Damn it! Why is this happening?! FUCK! Is all of this my fault? Just because we robbed that penthouse? WHY? WHY?! I don't even know what to think anymore. Vander can't fight those superhumans. And I... I don't want to lose him. The man who was my father, who took care of me and taught me everything I know.

Why is this happening to us? This is so unfair...

Fuck...

...

I... I need to free the others and get away...

It seems like the only thing we've been doing since all this happened...

Just running away...

I hate it so much.

Before I could continue my waves of self-blame, I was snapped out of my thought process by Powder, who kept shaking around violently, along with Mylo and Claggor. It was like they were desperate, as if they were trying to tell me something important. So, I stood up from the floor and ran towards them, tears still streaming from my eyes. My emotions were out of control. But the moment I freed them and ripped the red webbing from their mouths, my entire being dropped. Because here I thought things couldn't get worse. But... they did.

(Powder) "What are you doing here?! We need to get out! NOW!" She said with anxiety in her voice

(Vi) "W-Wait! Why are you guys panicking so much?" Scared

(Claggor) "This is a trap, Vi!"

(Vi) "...What?"

(Mylo) "That Spider-God played with us, ALL OF US!"

Karito...

What do we do now?

No Pov

In a tumultuous clash, fists met with formidable force. The very earth quivered beneath the impact, a seismic resonance echoing through the surroundings. The celestial canopy above yielded to the magnitude of the confrontation, its once serene clouds now forcibly displaced. Dwellings crumbled under the duress of the battle, reduced to remnants of their former selves. A relentless exchange of energy beams and devastating attacks wrought havoc upon the natural landscapes—forests, mountains, and streets alike.

Amidst the chaos, the trio of combatants—Morlun, Mangog, and Spider-Man—engaged in an unremitting struggle. Despite the hero's unwavering resilience and the invocation of his formidable "Limit Breaker skill times 50," Mangog displayed an astonishing ability to match his augmented prowess. The protracted duel prevented Spider-Man from executing a decisive blow on Morlun, as Mangog valiantly shielded his compatriot from the impending threat. The hero found himself entrapped within a relentless onslaught, denied the luxury of respite or the contemplation of strategic maneuvers.

A rising tide of anxiety inundated Spider-Man with each passing moment. The echoes of Vander's ostensibly final plea reverberated within his consciousness. Yet, the unfolding narrative deviated from its ordained course, rendering Vander's demise an impermissible deviation. The cacophony of despair emanating from the hearts of those he held dear resounded in the hero's mind. The very fabric of the narrative began to unravel, compelling Spider-Man to surpass his established limits—undaunted by the ominous specter of an aftermath steeped in unbearable consequences.

(Spider-Man) "Fuck this! Time's 100!"

Indifferent to the disintegrating reality surrounding him, Spider-Man exhibited a profound apathy towards the destruction ensuing from the convergence of two worlds. The degree of havoc he could unleash seemed inconsequential in the face of the prevailing chaos. His paramount concern, in his current state of detachment, was the extermination of the Darks. The meticulous mending of the shattered world, he surmised, could be meticulously orchestrated through the intricate application of his formidable hacking abilities at a later juncture.

This calculated resolve manifested in his focused gaze, directed toward Morlun, who bore the brunt of the battle's toll. Unbeknownst to the Inheritor, Mangog prepared to intervene, only to find himself deceived as Spider-Man, with uncanny agility, executed a dropkick aimed not at Morlun, but at the unsuspecting Mangog. The impact resonated with a shockwave, propelling the colossal figure through a building.

Seizing the opportunity, Spider-Man, in a seamless maneuver, exploited Morlun's momentary vulnerability. The Inheritor, unable to perceive the hero's rapid movements, fell prey to Spider-Man's swiftness. In a decisive action, Spider-Man seized Morlun's countenance and forcefully drove it into the ground. With an almost feral growl, he invoked the devastating technique known as the "Radioactive Mega Venom Blast."

A cataclysmic explosion erupted, an inferno of energy that voraciously consumed Morlun, his anguished cries echoing within the tempest of annihilation. The very foundations of the surroundings quivered violently as the explosion ascended skyward in a fiery spectacle. As swiftly as it manifested, the explosion dissipated, leaving a sprawling crater where Morlun once stood—a testament to the obliteration of the Inheritor, reduced to naught but ashes.

In the aftermath, Spider-Man found himself at the epicenter of the newly formed crater, his adversary reduced to ephemeral remnants. Mangog, having weathered the explosion, rose and surveyed the transformed landscape. A subtle touch to his cheek revealed the potent surge in power emanating from the hero. Employing his Dark abilities, Mangog transmitted an enigmatic message to an undisclosed recipient before rejoining the battlefield with renewed determination.

In a blur, Mangog materialized behind Spider-Man, unleashing a formidable hammer fist. Swiftly detecting the impending assault, the hero countered, disrupting the ground beneath them. Seizing Mangog's shoulder, Spider-Man orchestrated a forceful slam to the ground. However, the Wrath incarnate, undeterred, expelled a tooth with a calculated precision, striking the hero's face. Swiftly regaining control, Mangog seized the opportunity, grasped Spider-Man's foot, and hurled him into a resolute cement wall.

Rebounding from the impact with a nimble backflip, Spider-Man prepared to face the relentless adversary. Yet, as he sensed an imminent presence behind him, he readied himself for a counterattack. The unseen force, however, proved overpowering, even amidst his augmented capabilities. Struck squarely in the face by an unforgiving mace, the hero careened into a mountainous terrain, his pained grunts echoing through the surroundings.

Realizing the escalating gravity of the situation, Spider-Man acknowledged the necessity of transcending his current limits to confront adversaries reminiscent of the formidable characters from the realms of Thor comics. The potency of the Darkness, augmenting the already formidable might of such characters, introduced an element of imbalance, prompting the hero to prepare for a heightened confrontation. Emerging from the crater, his gaze fixed ahead, Spider-Man confronted an unexpected adversary—the God of Strength and Heroes, Hercules. The complexity of the situation had escalated exponentially, introducing a new layer of intricacy into an already tumultuous battlefield.

(Dark Hercules) "I was having a rather good time in another Omniverse, but Mangog sent me an urgent message and killed one of the women I was playing with. I will have a word with him after this, but now that I see the state of these two dimensions, all I can say is: Holy shit, you all made a mess out of this place. Anyways, enough chatter; we shall test your might, hero. Make this fun, Guardian."

(Spider-Man) "Fucking hell... This is gonna be very problematic." Hold's his body in pain

(Dark Hercules) "Okay, Broly. Your muscles look like they're about to explode. So could you do me a favor, and don't? You will entertain me this time arou-"

(Dark Mangog) "Who the hell told you, you were gonna face him alone, huh?!"

(Dark Hercules) "Shut up, Minecraft head-looking ass."

(Dark Mangog) "You damn Gods!"

(Dark Hercules) "Why were you even brought here? You could've just stayed in your dimension."

(Dark Mangog) "A favour for a friend."

(Dark Hercules) "Tch... of all people."

(Spider-Man) Thoughts "...I see how I can deal with them..."
