Karito Pov
It has been an indeterminate stretch of time since my return. Sleep evades me, and I find myself immersed in video games during the nocturnal hours. How long have I been in this state? Days? Weeks, perhaps? The realm I traversed held me captive for months, followed by two more months in a coma, only to awake to yet another. The chronicles of my life seem to weave a tapestry of unrelenting trials, a symphony of misfortunes that refuse to relent.
The very fabric of my existence seems bound by an elusive destiny, one that incessantly interlaces moments of supposed respite with the tempestuous upheavals of calamity. The enigmatic dance of fortune weaves its tale inextricably with my life's course, leaving me to bear witness to its relentless machinations.
I ponder my role as a hero, bearing the weight of responsibility that fate has cast upon my shoulders. Yet, despite my altruistic intentions, I am plagued by the gnawing sense that my presence exacerbates the tumultuous state of affairs. The skirmish with Loki, the perilous encounter with Vulture, and the harrowing battle against Doctor Octopus - each leaves an indelible mark upon my psyche, a haunting reminder of the perilous nature of my endeavors.
Ultron's emergence heralded a convergence of events that forever altered the trajectory of my existence. The burden of saving my friends and this world came at a great cost, driving me to the precipice of demise. The repercussions of that fateful day continue to reverberate through my being.
Venting my frustrations, I reluctantly acknowledge my struggle with the elusive number two - a harbinger of misfortune that follows in my wake. Countless near-death experiences serve as a somber testament to the turbulent tempests that seem to haunt my journey as a hero.
And so, amidst my reflections and regrets, the passage of time forces me to acknowledge my current predicament - a state of homelessness. Memories of hardship resurface, as I am reminded of my past, fraught with challenges that shaped the path I now tread. Yet, within this labyrinth of trials, there lies a glimmer of hope - the prospect of reconnecting with the Avengers, the family that embraced me on this extraordinary odyssey.
As I contemplate my next steps, I am momentarily startled by the absence of my attire, a stark reminder of my current state. Mail scattered on the floor serves as a stark reality check, as I come face to face with the truth - I am without a home.
Undeterred, I resolve to replenish my provisions and journey to Upstate New York, the newfound residence of the Avengers. There, perhaps, I may find solace, camaraderie, and a semblance of purpose amidst the ever-changing tides of fortune that continue to shape my destiny.
Present time
Christmas
Engrossed in the immersive world of video games, I found myself amid the bustling ambiance of an anime expo, which fortuitously unfolded in close proximity. A congregation of fervent enthusiasts, the expo served as a haven for aficionados of the animated arts, a place where passion and creativity intertwined.
Yet, my presence within this hallowed realm was not without its moments of discord. On three occasions, I was gently reminded by the attendants to shift my location, an indication that my gaming pursuits were encroaching upon the allocated spaces of others. And yet, despite these gentle admonitions, my determination to indulge in the digital realm prevailed, leading me to seize every opportunity to nestle into an unoccupied seat, resuming my gaming endeavors with unwavering ardor. The allure of the virtual world proved irresistible, beckoning me with its magnetic charm amidst the vibrant tapestry of the anime expo.

Alas, the unfolding events metamorphosed into a cataclysmic debacle, culminating in my unfortunate expulsion from the exalted realm of the expo. A profound sense of exasperation swept over me, a lamentation that my earnest pursuit of solace through the virtual realm was misconstrued and met with severe repercussions. Verily, my sole desire was to seek temporary refuge in the digital oasis, a means to momentarily extricate myself from the burden of life's tribulations. Regrettably, the stewards of the expo remained heedless to my plight, ushering forth an uncompromising verdict.
Resolute in my resolve to relinquish despondency's grip, I invoked my formidable camouflage skill, veiling myself in the iconic guise of Spider-Man. With a determined gaze cast skyward, I dispatched a deftly crafted web toward the soaring heights of a nearby building. A momentous rush of liberation ensued as I, the arachnid-themed hero, embarked on a web-swinging odyssey through the boundless urban landscape. In this fleeting flight, I found solace, and a fleeting semblance of reprieve from the shackles of reality.
Black Widow Pov
Today marked yet another training session with the indomitable Captain and the enigmatic Scarlet Witch. On the surface, the session appeared to proceed with a veneer of normalcy, yet one could discern the weight of unspoken burdens lurking beneath the facade of camaraderie. The ever-resolute Steve, in particular, exhibited signs of concealed turmoil, evident in the subtle shadows that adorned the contours of his eyes. However valiant their attempts to conceal the struggles that besieged them, it has become apparent that we, their fellow Avengers, keenly observe and empathize with the profound toll the recent events have taken.
In the aftermath of Karito's abrupt vanishing, a pervasive sense of disquietude has pervaded our ranks. The void left by his absence is not one easily ignored or forgotten. Indeed, it has elicited profound shock and left us grappling with unyielding questions. Bruce, too, has withdrawn into the depths of seclusion, retreating from the world he once called home.
Yet amid this unsettling expanse, hope emerges in the form of new allies that have joined our ranks. The ethereal and enigmatic Vision, alongside the potent sibling duo of Wanda and Pietro, have stepped forth to answer the call of duty. And while their presence offers a glimmer of optimism, it does little to alleviate the lingering sorrow cast by the departure of dear comrades.
As I observe the brave faces of my fellow Avengers, I cannot help but wonder if our paths shall ever intertwine with those who have departed. Until that enigmatic day arrives, we shall remain steadfast, bound together by purpose, and determined to safeguard the world that we hold dear.
(Steve) "Nat! Continue the combo!"
(Natasha) "Huh?" Gets hit by Steve's shield "OOF!"
(Wanda) "Oh my god! Natasha are you okay?!"
(Natasha) "Y-Yeah, I'm good."
(Steve) "Let's call it a day."
I gently caressed my stomach while Captain Steve Rogers offered a supporting hand
(Natasha) "Thanks."
(Steve) "Nat, you are getting less focused in each training."
(Wanda) "..."
(Natasha) "Well, it's not like everyone is in their A-game now are we?"
(Steve) "Wanda, you can leave to your room. Pietro and Vision are gonna be free if you want to spend time with them."
(Wanda) "Okay then. I'll see you guys later." Waves
As Wanda gracefully exited the training room, I observed Captain Steve Rogers rubbing his eyes wearily.
(Natasha) "You aren't sleeping well again."
(Steve) "He's out there... I know it."
(Natasha) "And what if he left? Like Bruce."
(Steve) "For someone, you considered a best friend you sure don't seem like you want to see him back."
(Natasha) "It's just... Karito was gone... and now Bruce..."
(Steve) "Karito isn't dead."
(Natasha) "It's been 6 months, Steve. 6!"
(Steve) "And I have been 70 years frozen bellow water and I came back! Karito is strong!"
(Natasha) "... You... You're right... I'm sorry."
(Steve) "Just... Don't do that again."
(Natasha) "Ok..."
(Steve) "We just gotta be patient. Maybe Vision and Tony will find him eventually.
At that very moment, the resounding entrance of Tony Stark, unmistakable and dramatic as ever, reverberated through the room as he burst through the door with characteristic flair. Alongside him, the enigmatic Vision gracefully phased through the wall, embodying an otherworldly presence that added to the intrigue of the situation.
(Vision & Tony) "I FOUND KARITO!"
(Tony) "No, I found him first!"
(Vision) "I'm pretty sure by the time you had to load your screen I already saw the camera footage."
(Natasha) "Wait! Are you sure?!"
(Steve) "Where is he?!"
(Vision) "Cameras saw Spider-Man swing around the city 15 minutes ago."
(Steve) "Let's go and pick our teammate up."
As we embarked on our mission, preparing to depart in the Quinjet to retrieve Karito, a moment of intrigue swept over us. Just as we settled in, I noticed Tony Stark, ever the tech-savvy genius, engrossed in his phone. His furrowed brows and perplexed expression hinted at something amiss, capturing our attention and heightening our curiosity. Eager to understand the cause of Tony's confusion, we awaited his revelation with bated breath.
(Natasha) "What is it, Tony?"
(Tony) "My satellite says he's here."
(Pietro) "Wait, already? Wasn't he spotted like... 20 minutes ago?"
As we settled into the Quinjet, a sudden commotion outside seized our attention, prompting us to investigate the source of the disturbance. To our astonishment, there stood the very individual we had set out to locate—Karito himself.

As I traversed the halls of the renowned Avengers compound, a peculiar atmosphere gripped the surroundings, resounding with lively sounds and a sense of jubilance. Curiosity piqued, I endeavored to ascertain the cause of the revelry that enshrouded the premises. Engaging my heightened senses, my spider-sense alerted me to the presence of several individuals congregating in what appeared to be a celebratory chamber—an unmistakable party room.
Uncertainty mingled with a glimmer of hope as I pondered the reasons behind such festivities. Could it truly be that they were rejoicing at my return? The very notion seemed implausible, yet the hushed whispers and exclamations that abruptly ceased upon my entry only heightened my intrigue.
With a resolute spirit, I made my way to a door, poised to unravel the mystery that awaited beyond. The anticipation was palpable, and as I slowly pushed the doors open, an overwhelming sight unfolded before my eyes.

(Everyone) "WELCOME BACK, KARITO!" A bunch go confetti and Pietro used a fire extinguisher
(Karito) "OH, SHIT STOP!"
(Pietro) "HAHA! I'm messing with you, bro!"
(Karito) "Um... since when was there a welcome party for returning heroes?"
(Tony) "Sense now. You bastard you are going to give all of us 6 months' worth of attention."
(Karito) "I'll just be Shoji Morimoto and do nothing."
(Maria Hill) Slaps Karito
(Karito) "I deserve that."
(Maria Hill) "That's for scaring all of us."
(Karito) "I feel like there's an and? Am I reading this correctly?"
(Maria Hill) "And."
(Karito) "Aha there we go."
(Maria Hill) Hugs Karito "Welcome back, Spider. We all missed you."
The room fell into stunned silence like someone had pressed the mute button on the entire party. Even the champagne bottle had a momentary identity crisis and slipped from Tony's grasp with a resounding clatter.
Maria Hill, the epitome of seriousness, was hugging Karito as if she had just found a long-lost teddy bear. It was a sight so bizarre that it could make rain go upwards.
In that awkward stillness, you could almost hear the collective thoughts of the party guests: "Is this some kind of elaborate prank?" "Did we accidentally step into a parallel universe?"
(Tony) Mumbles "She doesn't give me any hugs..."
(Fury) "She barely does."
(Coulson) "I think it's going to rain upside down tomorrow."
(Maria Hill) "Coulson you were the one who was crying because you didn't have someone to hang out with the way Karito did."
(Karito) "AWWW IS THAT TRUE COULSON BU?!" UwU face
(Coulson) "I regret shedding a tear for you now."
(Karito) "AWWW THAT'S SO FUCKING CUTE!" Tries to grab Coulson's face
(Coulson) "NO! KARITO NOT AGAIN NO!" Runs away
(Karito) "BRING THAT ASS BACK HERE BOY!" Chases
Amidst the merry revelry, laughter echoed through the room like the sweetest symphony. Coulson and I had engaged in a playful display that had everyone in stitches. But the joyous exchanges did not end there; it seemed as though I had embarked on a journey of heartwarming connections with each member of the Avengers.
Conversations flowed like a river, each lasting at least half an hour, as if I had suddenly found myself surrounded by a multitude of caring older siblings. The camaraderie was infectious, and the rapport we shared had a certain ease that belied the fact that we were once strangers.
Pietro and I, in our youthful exuberance, had become a duo of mischief, much to the chagrin of the rest of the party. Though they made a mental note to keep us apart, they couldn't help but chuckle at our antics. Little did they know that I had the ability to detoxify my system, rendering me impervious to the intoxicating effects of alcohol.
As the night wore on, the clock struck midnight, yet the spirits of my new-found companions remained high. With most of them succumbing to the effects of alcohol, only Steve, Nat, Vision, and I retained our clarity. Our surroundings transformed into a dance floor, where Clint's attempts at "Just Dance" provided endless amusement.
Eventually, the revelry transitioned to a more serene setting, with us lounging on couches, engaged in a more lucid exchange of thoughts. Amidst the casual conversation, Tony, perhaps fueled by the spirits that had enchanted his senses, summoned the courage to ask a question that lingered unspoken in the air. The room hushed, anticipation swelling like a crescendo before the grand reveal.
(Tony) "So... KARitO." Hiccup "Where were you for 6 months? Huh?"
(Steve) "I... Actually was wondering the same."
(Pietro) "You? The entire team was, even Vision and he barely meet the dude."
(Vision) "What? He comes up with pretty good jokes sometimes."
(Wanda) "You? Laugh?"
(Vision) "I was surprised myself."
(Tony) "I'm still waiting for my... Question." Hiccup
(Karito) Deep sigh
(Pietro) "Bro, you good?"
(Karito) "Yeah... I knew this was coming so."
(Clint) "Yup, so?"
(Karito) "Ok, ok. I was in another dimension."
(Tony) "For real? Aren't you making this up? Wait... Never mind."
(Steve) "This is Karito and the enemies he deals with are not from this world like he said. So, what happened?"
(Karito) "Well, after destroying Sokovia by myself. The explosion must've sent me to another world or a portal took me, like the one I used to enter and find the weapon to defeat Ultron."
(Tony) "Where's the weapon though?"
(Karito) Lies "Broke because I passed it max output too many times."
(Tony) "Ughhhh, I could've done some good stuff."
(Natasha) "Let the man talk."
(Karito) "Alright... So I landed in Indonesia."
(Clint) "How did you make it to Indonesia?"
(Karito) "I don't know, but I'm pretty sure I was dropped on a Dark infested world."
(Pietro) "Dark?"
(Steve) "It's what made Ultron be a more difficult opponent, it's a multiversal threat that only Karito can deal with."
(Wanda) "But if Karito is the only one who can take them down, how come we could damage them."
(Karito) "As long as they are not Pure Darkness you should be able to damage them, like soldiers and of the sort. Also, the reason why you all lost to Ultron is that when I returned he was already one with the power of darkness making him shift into a different personality. I found out it was another Ultron from another dimension that invaded his mind."
(Fury) "Why wasn't I told of this?"
(Karito) "Nothing you can do about it but me. Sorry to say it like this but you guys would only be good to take the lesser Darks while I have to deal with the big guys."
(Pietro) "One, ouch. Two, why only you?"
(Karito) "..."
(Tony) "I think you should tell them."
(Steve) "Yeah. I agree."
(Natasha) "What are you guys talking about?"
(Coulson) "Are you guys sure? It took me a few weeks to accept it."
(Tony) "It took me months."
(Maria Hill) "Guys, can you like, spill it?"
(Fury) "Please."
(Karito) "Fine. I'm a Guardian, especially a Guardian of the multiverse."
(Fury) "Multiverse? You messing with me?"
(Coulson) "I know, the multiverse theory is actually true."
(Fury) "And this isn't a lie?"
(Natasha) "Do you know how absurd that sounds?"
(Vision) "Well, I'm inclined to believe him."
(Wanda) "Why?"
(Vision) "Because I don't think, Karito would lie about this right now."
(Pietro) "The fuck is a multiverse?"
After a while of explaining his Guardian status...
(Fury) "So you're telling me that besides threats like Thor have mentioned are weaker compared to what you have to face? We might as well just kill ourselves if a Dark ever comes here."
(Karito) "It's not that they are weaker, they are immune to everything that isn't a guardian. These people have beaten even Gods before."
(Pietro) "Now I feel way out of my league."
(Karito) "Though... There is a way..."
(Tony) "Wait, there is?"
(Karito) "When I was stuck in this other dimension I meet a girl who was able to defeat a Dark with a suit that was made by a past Guardian that died trying to save that world, they must've been some kind of engineer or something to be able to make her that and do actual damage."
(Fury) "Well, that's great! Can you do something?"
(Karito) "I'm a programmer, not an engineer."
(Steve) "Wait."
(Coulson) "What's up, Cap?"
(Steve) "Can't Karito program our weapons to be able to damage them?"
(Natasha) "The boomer thought of this while there was a living AI and a genius in the room?"
(Steve) "Hey!"
(Vision) "What was I supposed to do?"
(Tony) "Yeah!"
(Karito) "Huh, good idea. That can work. I'll just have to borrow Tony's lab."
(Tony) "You would go even if I said no."
(Karito) "You know me so well.~" Head-pats Tony
(Tony) Smacks Karito's hand "Don't get cocky."
(Pietro) "Well, at least we shouldn't worry so much about the Darks. That's good."
(Wanda) "What about me? I don't use weapons."
(Karito) "You'll still be wearing a suit, right?"
(Wanda) "Oh."
As the lively chatter continued to weave its way through the air, embracing the room with warmth and camaraderie, Pietro, ever the impish spirit, decided to elevate the celebration. With a flick of his wrist, he uncorked a bottle of champagne, the effervescent elixir greeting the atmosphere with an audible pop. Bubbles of joy danced within the golden liquid, akin to tiny stars in a celestial dance, their playful effervescence a fitting reflection of the jovial ambiance that enveloped the gathering.
(Pietro) "Come on, we are supposed to be celebrating the return of Spider-Man! Not make it all serious and boring!"
(Natasha) "Yeah, let's keep having some fun!"
In unanimous consent, they embraced the notion of reveling in the present, leaving the weighty discussions for a time yet to come. Their collective desire was to bestow upon me the warmth of a welcoming embrace, their hearts alight with genuine camaraderie and unyielding support. Such benevolence and genuine care were gifts beyond measure, for which my heart overflowed with gratitude. Their magnanimous souls, like radiant beacons in the night, illuminated my path through the darkness.
And so, the night unfolded as an enchanting symphony of merriment and laughter, the harmonious crescendo of joyous celebrations that transcended mere hours. Amidst the swirl of jubilant conversations and laughter, the boundaries of time seemed to blur, the night unfolding with the timeless allure of a celestial dance. The ambiance was infused with the essence of camaraderie, like a tapestry woven from the threads of shared experiences and unspoken understandings.
In this union of kindred spirits, their laughter echoed like cascading melodies, their jubilant hearts attuned to the rhythm of the universe. Time, as if caught in the hypnotic trance of their jubilation, moved with a pace unfamiliar, leaving them to bask in the euphoria of the present.
As the hours passed, their vitality remained resolute, fueled by the elixir of friendship and the indomitable spirit of celebration. Yet, even in the throes of their jubilation, a silent understanding passed among them, an unspoken decree that when fatigue finally claimed their bodies, they would part with hearts brimming with affection and memories forged in the crucible of a wondrous night.
So they reveled, like celestial bodies spinning in the cosmic dance of the heavens, embracing the beauty of life's fleeting moments. They danced, they laughed, and they embraced the enchantment of the night until, at last, the embrace of sleep beckoned. With hearts aglow and spirits soaring, they departed the revelry, their souls filled with the harmonious symphony of friendship, knowing that these cherished memories would be etched forever in the annals of time.

Amidst the joyous celebrations and heartfelt camaraderie of Christmas, I found myself grateful for the splendid time spent with my newfound family. Tony's generous gift of an opulent house in New York left me touched, even if it seemed a bit extravagant for my taste. The memories of laughter and love fueled my spirit as I embraced my role as a symbol of hope and justice, a guardian of the night. And so, under the moon's gentle gaze, I continued my tireless watch over the city, a steadfast protector in the encroaching darkness.
Oh, I think I see Clint.

Central Park, New York City.
Amidst the verdant expanse of the park, an archery competition, a celebration of youthful skill and dexterity, unfurled before a captivated audience. The young participants, poised and attentive, awaited their instructor's measured command to draw their bows and release their arrows. The scene was an embodiment of disciplined concentration, each teen honing their focus on the distant targets, the ambiance punctuated by the subtle rustling of leaves and the occasional hushed whispers of encouragement from onlookers.
(Instructor) "Teen division. On your mark! Get set! F-"
Amidst the archery competition, an impressive display of synchronized marksmanship left the onlookers in awe. Three arrows, like a choreographed dance, struck the bullseye on separate targets simultaneously. The identity of the skilled archer remained a tantalizing mystery, adding a sense of intrigue to the event.
(Instructor) "Who released?"
(Teen Archer) "No one."
The instructor's gaze shifts backward, drawn by an inexplicable instinct, and there, perched casually on a bench, sits Hawkeye, a master archer exuding an air of confidence that seems almost palpable. His cocky grin speaks volumes, hinting at the mischievous delight he takes in showcasing his unparalleled marksmanship skills
(Instructor) Mumbles "Oh. Stupid Avengers."
A voice from above lands beside Hawkeye on the bench.
(Spider-Man) "We get it, Hawkeye. You can sight an arrow real good."
(Hawkeye) "Hey, I'm supposed to be training today. I got antsy. It's your fault for being late."
(Spider-Man) "Man, you interrupted my sleep. I need my beauty sleep! And even worse you woke me in the morning and I hate mornings! Don't make me wear guilt of a ruined archery competition on top of it."
(Hawkeye) "Ruined? What are you talking about? I'm an inspiration."
(Instructor) Unholy cursing
(Spider-Man) "I think you just inspired that guy's drinking problems."
(Teen Archer) "Excuse me. Mr. Hawkeye... Would you sign my bow?"
(Hawkeye) "See?" Grabs a sharpie and looks at the teen's bow "WHA-?! A compound bow? Ugh..."
(Teen Archer) "My dad got it for me."
(Hawkeye) "Has he always wished you were a girl or something?"
(Spider-Man) "Listen here you little shit, you're under arrest."
(Hawkeye) "What? I'm just saying a compound bow is cheating."
(Spider-Man) "...Huh, I've only been in archery for 3 months so who am I to judge?"
(Hawkeye) "Anyways. So what's this about? Captain America wants us to go out on patrol?"
(Spider-Man) "You've never gone to a patrol or something?"
(Hawkeye) "Don't we have enough problems without actively looking for them?"
(Spider-Man) "Yeah, I can understand that part. Clint, we're looking for people to help. That's it, nothing weird."
(Hawkeye) "I don't know, seems kind of desperate."
(Spider-Man) "Well, if Captain America thinks it's a good idea then I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing. Pluss he might've found something, since I have updated the Map with the Dark detector I have been going all over the place like it's a Black Friday sale."
(Hawkeye) "I do feel bad for you though, it's only been recently that you were able to update our weaponry to affect Dark's."
(Spider-Man) "Ugh, I'm starting to understand how Tony feels when he has to do everyone's shit."
(Hawkeye) "You really haven't caught a break, is that way you wake up in the afternoon mostly?"
(Spider-Man) "No, I'm just not a morning person."
(Hawkeye) "Point taken." Turns on his motorcycle

Landers Chemical supply
(Spider-Man) Hangs upside-down with his web "So what do we have here?"
Amidst the shadows that loom in the dimly lit alley, Spider-Man's keen senses detect the presence of three mysterious adversaries cloaked in obsidian garb, adorned with serpentine motifs resembling the emblematic figure of Scorpion, a renowned character from the realm of Mortal Kombat. As the distance between them narrows, the intricate details of their enigmatic armor become more apparent, weaving an aura of mystique around their identities.
(Spider-Man) "Some kind of snake theme? I bet those costumes-" Arrow passed beside him
In a swift and seamless display of archery prowess, Hawkeye's bow released an arrow with impeccable precision, finding its mark on the chest of one of the serpent-clad adversaries. Upon impact, a surge of electric energy rippled through the villain's body, rendering him incapacitated and sprawled on the ground in defeat.
With seamless grace, another arrow soared through the night, finding its intended target on a second serpent-themed foe, who too succumbed to the well-placed shot. The crackling currents coursing through his body brought him to his knees, ensnared in the vise of paralyzing electricity.
However, amid the chaos of the skirmish, the third villain, perhaps sensing the growing peril of his comrades, swiftly retreated into the shadows, vanishing from sight with a serpentine swiftness that left only a faint trace of his presence lingering in the air.
(Spider-Man) "Aww come on! I didn't get to finish my joke!"
(Hawkeye) "Shhh! Little to your left, please."
(Spider-Man) Sways left
With consummate skill and unwavering focus, Hawkeye swiftly notched another arrow to his bowstring. His keen eyes honed in on the retreating figure of the last thief determined not to let him evade justice. Drawing upon years of honed expertise, the archer calculated the trajectory and released the arrow with a fluid motion.
The slender shaft hurtled through the nocturnal air like a guided beacon, finding its mark with uncanny precision. Striking the back of the fleeing miscreant, the arrow's impact jolted him off his feet, sending him sprawling onto the unforgiving ground below.
(Spider-Man) "Well, I know you do things differently. But you know me, that when I'm bored I like to throw one-liners after the big reveal. Also, be careful bro, what if you missed?"
(Hawkeye) Looks serious "It's me. I don't miss."
(Spider-Man) "Don't make me humble you on a drinking contest again."
(Hawkeye) "Ugh... Where to next?"
(Spider-Man) "Nowhere! Because thanks to you we now have to wait for one of them to wake up."
(Hawkeye) Facepalm "How could I forget that?"
(Spider-Man) "EXACTLY! You are the one with the most experience here. You should know by now that we needed one to interrogate and find out who they're working for. Then hopefully before my online friends start insulting me like it was a call of duty Black Ops 2 lobby we already found out who these Scorpion-looking asses trying to break into a chemical wholesaler. (Hawkeye) "I don't watch much tv."
(Spider-Man) "Right... I remember why I don't invite you to the theaters... But, what do you do in your free time anyway?"
(Hawkeye) "I train. What do you do?"

In a moment of keen observation and astute perception, Spider-Man's gaze alighted upon Hawkeye, the archer renowned for his peerless marksmanship. A sense of urgency and concern washed over him, as he witnessed the seasoned marksman launching a hail of arrows with seemingly reckless abandon, aiming to disable the white van that held perilous secrets within its confines.

(Hawkeye) "You know how much I'm giving up for this life. I could have been happy with my wife and kids... Have a simple good life... But here I am playing with the big boys. And if I miss, it means I'm just another dude with a bow... It means I've been fooling myself this whole time... And that's why I never miss." Shots another arrow
(Spider-Man) "Why didn't you tell me you felt like that? I could have-" Notices some odd movement in the far distance "Wait! We got something!" Looks "Yup, I got ID. We got a Dark Sidewinder... Aye yo? He smiling at us?" Spider-senses "Behind us!" 5 serpent thieves appear
(Hawkeye) "Look alive, Spider."
(Spider-Man) "We don't have time for this! Sidewinder's got some sort of grenade launcher. I'm sure that weapon is containing the gas!"
(Hawkeye) "You've got to hold these guys off long enough to get me a shot."
(Spider-Man) "Hawkeye, he's 700 yards away!"
(Hawkeye) "Just get me my shot!"
(Spider-Man) Starts to quickly take down the thieves "Clint, this is not the time to show off."
(Hawkeye) "I can do it, trust me!"
(Spider-man) "Alright! GO!" Takes the last one and starts web-swinging towards Sidewinder
(Hawkeye) "Alright, I'm taking my shot! Thwang
(Dark Sidewinder) Coms "I'm taking my shot."
As Spider-Man closed in on the scene, his keen eyes caught sight of Hawkeye's poised arrow, a testament to the master archer's unparalleled skill. With each moment that passed, a glimmer of hope flickered within the web-slinger's heart, yearning for the satisfaction of witnessing a feat of marksmanship that defied the boundaries of possibility.
Yet, as the arrow was released and soared through the air, destiny seemed to have other designs in store. The universe, in its infinite complexity, conspired to evade the very apex of that elusive target. In a split second that felt like an eternity, the arrow missed its mark.
(Dark Sidewinder) "HA! Foolish hero-"
With finesse and dexterity befitting his mantle as the web-slinger, Spider-Man artfully maneuvered, weaving his intricate webs to ensnare the villain, suspending him aloft in a momentary dance of entrapment. A symphony of grace and power unfolded as the hero's lithe form swirled with preternatural agility, orchestrating a spectacle of motion.
With his adversary ensnared, Spider-Man, in a display of measured restraint, summoned the energy that coursed within him, channeling the very essence of his arachnid power. The venom within him, an intrinsic force of his being, surged forth with calculated potency.
In the climax of this kinetic ballet, the hero's fist connected with the villain's face, a concussive union that elicited a primal cry of impact. The venom-infused strike carried an aura of electrifying intensity, each iota of energy transmuting into a weapon of controlled chaos.
In that fleeting instant, the villain's defiance crumbled beneath the overwhelming force. With the resonance of the venom punch still echoing through the air, the villain slumped in defeat, a tableau of thwarted malevolence.
(Hawkeye) Coms "Did I get him?"
(Spider-Man) "..."
In the midst of that poignant moment, an enigmatic melancholy draped itself upon Spider-Man's heart, a complex tapestry of emotions woven by the revelations shared with his steadfast friend, Hawkeye. A profound connection, both forged in trials and camaraderie, bound the two heroes together, and in this tender instance, the weight of truth bore heavily upon the web-slinger's conscience.
As the words lingered unspoken, the unyielding grip of empathy enveloped Spider-Man's soul. He discerned the fragility that underlay his friend's earnest convictions, recognizing the delicate equilibrium between self-assurance and vulnerability.
Within the depths of his heart, Spider-Man grappled with an ethical conundrum. To reveal the missed shot, the truth that lay before him, could potentially unravel the very fabric of Hawkeye's spirit, threatening to erode the archer's sense of worth and purpose. The knowledge of his misfire might inadvertently diminish the resolute archer, casting shadows upon his unwavering resolve.
In that somber moment, Spider-Man made a decision—a decision borne of compassion and empathy—a decision to shield his friend's pride and shield him from the emotional quagmire that awaited should the truth be unveiled. With a noble resolve, he chose to bear the burden of this unspoken truth upon his shoulders, acting as a guardian of Hawkeye's spirit.
(Spider-Man) Stutters "Yo-You should see by yourself! Holy shit!" Grabs the arrow that was stuck on the floor
(Hawkeye) "Wait! I did it?! OH GOD, I HAVE TO SEE IT!" Starts rushing over there
(Spider-Man) His heart keeps sinking "Y-Yeah! Look! Right on his chest!" Stabs the electric arrow on Sidewinder's chest
(Hawkeye) "You're not messing with me right?! You wouldn't do that to me! I'm almost there!" Gets on his motorcycle
(Spider-Man) Holds his heart "No man! Look!"
(Hawkeye) Arrives and stops beside Spider-Man "AH-HA! I got 'em! HA! NAILED IT! My friend, you owe me a drink! No, takebacks!"
(Spider-Man) "Alright, we will celebrate today! One of your greatest shots!"
(Hawkeye) "Do your magic, my friend! Send him to whatever. Tonight is my night!"
(Spider-Man) "Of course. I'll buy you drinks, my friend."
In the wake of their successful mission, Spider-Man and Hawkeye found solace and camaraderie in the simple pleasures of camaraderie and shared experiences. A restaurant became their haven, the lively ambiance echoing with tales of valor and prowess. As the mirthful banter flowed, Hawkeye regaled the group with tales of his expert marksmanship, eliciting admiration and applause from his superhuman peers. Amidst the spirited celebration, the archer reveled in being embraced as an equal among extraordinary beings, a sentiment that infused him with a sense of pride and belonging.
Amidst the revelry, Spider-Man's discerning gaze caught the subtle emotions stirring within his friend. Though the camaraderie was genuine, a fleeting sadness emanated from Hawkeye's eyes, betraying the weight of his self-imposed expectations. As the night drew to a close and they parted ways, Karito found himself alone in his penthouse—a sanctuary that felt empty in the wake of heartfelt camaraderie.
Silent and contemplative, he replayed the night's festivities in his mind. Amidst the laughter and cheer, he found himself touched by the unwavering dedication of his friend Clint—a mortal amidst superhuman might, striving to prove his worth and fortitude. Deep in his heart, Karito yearned to shield his friend from the burden of inadequacy, the nagging doubt that plagued him, for he cherished Clint's unwavering work ethic and tireless spirit.
With a heavy heart, Karito made a difficult choice—a choice grounded in love and compassion. He resolved to protect Clint's sense of belonging and pride by withholding the truth of his missed shot. Fearing that revelation would erode his friend's confidence, he opted for a lie—knowing full well that this act of deception was borne from a place of caring and protection.
As he sat alone in the dim glow of his penthouse, Karito allowed himself to feel the weight of his decision—a decision that sought to preserve his friend's emotional well-being. In a world of superpowers and heroic deeds, he recognized the profound importance of emotional strength and camaraderie among kindred spirits.
With a deep sigh, he released the tension of the evening, granting himself a moment of vulnerability. And in that moment of quiet reflection, he reaffirmed the value of friendship, the unyielding strength of the bonds he shared with his fellow heroes, and the complexity of heroism—a complexity that extended beyond physical feats, into the realm of emotional support and understanding.
With a resolve to continue protecting and uplifting those he cared for, Karito wiped away the tears that had formed, knowing that within the intricate tapestry of camaraderie and friendship, truth and compassion often intertwined in unexpected ways.
Time skip
2 months, April. Only a few weeks before the Civil War.
Karito Pov
In retrospect, a span of two months held a tumultuous encounter with a formidable adversary known as Alpha—a youth imbued with the enigmatic and potent Alpha Energy, a fitting moniker indeed. As the tale unfolds, a twist of fate intertwined the paths of Peter Parker and Alpha, leading to an inadvertent infusion of superpowers upon the latter. Fame and adulation swiftly followed, consuming the young Alpha, and consequently, necessitating Peter's intervention to rein in the runaway ego.
In the present, my current responsibility bestowed upon me by none other than Tony Stark, the illustrious genius and Avenger, involves vigilant guardianship over the boy—our newly found Alpha. Alas, my cherished role as a Guardian of the Multiverse seems to have been relegated to the mundane task of babysitting. The irony of it all is rather vexing.
Thus, once again, I find myself engaged in a routine duty, seeking to maintain order and responsibility. My endeavors are directed towards persuading the young Alpha to comply with his necessary checkups—a task he has a tendency to forget, burdened by the distractions that accompany his burgeoning popularity.
(Karito) "This kid is gonna give me an aneurysm." The phone is still ringing
(Alpha's Voice Mail) "This's Alpha. Not here right now probably off saving the universe or sumthin'. If you're anybody famous, let's talk when I'm back from alpha-con 2012. If you're a girl, leave your measurements. LATER!"
(Karito) "....What the fuck did I just heard?" Leaves a voice mail "Hey, it's your therapist. You have been diagnosed with the "If you ever leave me hanging I will castrate you" syndrome. SIKE! It's Spider-Man, call back in 10 seconds."
A few minutes later
(Alpha) "One sec. Okay, who is this and how did you get this very private number."
(Karito) "Bitch, I'm your Daddy. I can find your phone even with my eyes closed... It's Spider-Man. From the Avengers? The guy who SAVED you from being further influenced by Darkness? Also, the guy you're supposed to be checking in with EVERY WEEK to monitor your powers! Also, are you in Japan? Mother fucker and you didn't invite me?!"
(Alpha) "Dude. Chill, Pedro. I'll come in twice next week. There. Solved. Alpha out. Sayonara."
(Karito) "DON'T YOU FUCKING!" Hangs up "Can I kill him?"
(Sam) "Maybe. His cocky attitude pisses me off."
(Karito) "Maybe I should've just killed him and not spared him." Sighs
(Sam) "Careful Spider, you're talking like Frieza."
(Karito) "Eww... But, we need to keep him in check. He's very powerful. If he went bad again my Naruto talk no Jutsu will not work a second time."
(Sam) 'Where do you even come up with those speeches."
(Karito) "... Youtube..."
(Sam) "Wait, so you are telling me that your speeches aren't original?"
(Karito) "If it works it works."
(Sam) "I guess. Also, I think you should go after the kid."
(Karito) "I was already thinking about it. Tell Tony that I'm borrowing the Quinjet."
(Sam) "Alright, man. Rain check on the pizza?"
(Karito) "You bet." Fist bump
An alarm starts ringing across the facility.
(Karito) "I swear if it's another Dark alien invasion I'm gonna..."
(Tony) On coms "Dark portal was opened in the sky. All heroes who can fly or have experience in fighting in the air, get ready. Karito, you too. "
(Karito) "ME CAGO EN TODO! FUCK!"
(Sam) "0-0"
(Karito) "Stop staring and get ready."
A few minutes later
Amidst the vast expanse of the heavens, a consortium of present-day heroes formed an impressive assembly: Ironman, Vision, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, and Captain America. Among this illustrious gathering, the intrepid hero, who lacks the innate ability of flight, took to the skies astride a hoverbike, while the agile Spider-Man adroitly clung to Ironman, seamlessly traversing the azure firmament.
The celestial convoy was further augmented by a squadron of formidable S.H.I.E.L.D. ships, diligently dispatched to provide invaluable assistance and support.
(Ironman) "Get ready everyone! Something is going out of the portal."
(Spider-Man) Angry Latino noises
As the portal's ethereal veil unfurled, it unveiled a colossal, hulking figure, whose imposing form emanated an aura of indomitable power. His gargantuan presence exuded a commanding air, eclipsing all else around him as if the very fabric of reality bent to his will. Accompanying his imposing frame was a formidable contingent of warriors, an assemblage of might, standing resolute and poised for action.
(Terminus) "People of Earth, hear me! Your world's minerals, molten core, and life-essence are herby claimed... IN THE NAME OF TERMINUS!"
(Spider-Man) "Shut the fuck up, Optimus Prime-sounding ass!"
(Terminus) "As yes, the Guardian. So you are the troublemaker the Dark Multiverse is raving about."
(Spider-Man) "BOY IF YOU DON'T GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WORLD I WILL SMACK YOU SO HARD YOU THINK IT'S YOUR MOTHER SLAPPING YOU!"
(Ironman) "Spider, are you good?"
(Spider-Man) "Just gotta play some Doom Eternal, nothing much."
(Vision) "That's very worrisome."
(Captain America) "Enough chatter. Do you have access to Alpha? Call him in."
(Spider-Man) "Do I have to?"
(Captain America) "Have you been training him?"
(Spider-Man) "...Yes." No
(Captain America) "He's one of our biggest guns. Make the call. NOW!"
(Spider-Man) "For fucks sake man." Calls Alpha
(Alpha) Picks up "Who is this? And how'd you get this VERY private-"
(Spider-Man) "Boy shut your ass up and listen."
(Alpha) "Go ahead, boy wonder."
(Spider-Man) "This is it. The one moment you've been waiting for. The Avengers. You just got called up to the majors. Now hurry up."
(Alpha) "HOLY SHIT! Where are you guys?!"
(Spider-Man) "Manhat-"
(Alpha) "Say no more. I am on..." Engulfs himself in blue energy and rockets himself towards New York in 3 seconds " MY WAY!" He goes straight for Terminus
(Terminus) "GYAH!"
(Alpha) "One side, Avengers! Let Alpha show you how it's done!" starts beating down the Darkness filled Villain
(Captain America) "My god..."
(Spider-Man) "...He was literally in Tokyo when I called him..."
With an astonishing display of prowess, Alpha defied all expectations and restrictions that once bound him. His former limitations, a burden he had grappled with, had been transcended in a magnificent display of newfound mastery. No longer constrained by the singular use of his powers, he exhibited an awe-inspiring combination of super-speed and flight, a seamless convergence of abilities that left all witnesses spellbound.
(Terminus) "K-KEEP HIM AWAY FROM ME!" Is getting overwhelmed by Alphas power
Teenage boy. Powers of a God, brain of a slacker... And he's picking on Terminus like a schoolyard bully... This couldn't get any worse.
(Ironman) "Avengers! New problem! Picking up air traffic control. That blast Terminus deflected just shut down every commercial aircraft in a ten-mile radius!"
(Captain America) "I'll keep an eye on the boy! Everyone else, grab a plane!
(Spider-Man) "Every commercial-?" Ironman leaves him and starts falling "OH FUCK! VISION! CATCH!" Shots a web
(Vision) "Got you, Spider-Man. But I am confused, what do you think you can do here?"
(Spider-Man) "I can use my electricity to move around don't worry. Wait, OH SHIT! That plane over there! It's falling!"
(Vision) "Plane is from Moscow, Russia. It's called Tu-204-120. It has a maximum takeoff weight of 103 metric tons and a range of 4,600 kilometers. It currently has 196 passengers inside."
(Spider-Man) "Slingshot me to that one! Get the other planes!"
(Vision) "Alright." Slingshots Spider-Man to the plane and he lands on it
Shit! Shit!
With deft precision, I rendered the exit door into a mere memory, shattering its formidable barriers to secure my passage within the aircraft. Ensuring the safety of those inside, I swiftly deployed my webbing to seal the breach, steadfastly safeguarding the panicked occupants from potential catastrophe, allowing no room for tragic mishaps amid the tumult.
My strides led me to the cockpit, where two Captains stood, their composure crumbling in the face of imminent peril. The urgency in their eyes mirrored the chaotic atmosphere that had engulfed the aircraft, where uncertainty hung heavy like a storm cloud, casting an ominous pall over the journey.
(Spider-Man) "Kara, tell me what they are saying?"
"They are blaming you for causing the plane to depressurize."
(Spider-Man) "Of course they are." Starts restarting the plane's system
In an opportune turn of events, Spider-Man, employing his exceptional hacking prowess, deftly intervened, bestowing the crippled plane with a restoration of its vital power. With an astute command over digital intricacies, he skillfully unraveled the conundrum that had ensnared the aircraft, illuminating the flickering instruments and reviving the faltering systems.
"They are now thankful for your actions."
(Spider-Man) "Damn, talk about hypocrites."
Yup. They are totally safe in the middle of evil, alien spaceships. YAY~ us! Wonder what else... Could go wrong...
In the very instant of my words' utterance, a formidable shock wave surged forth toward Terminus with unrestrained fury, seeking to unleash destruction upon us all. Yet, like a symphony conductor mastering his orchestra, Terminus, rose to meet the malevolent force head-on. With a seamless display of calculated precision, he expertly countered Alpha's destructive onslaught.
(Terminus) "I-I will not be bested by some child!"
(Alpha) "Child? Hey, loser! I'm Alpha! The best damn hero this world's got!" Continues being reckless
(Scarlet Witch) "Hey, you idiot! Watch where you are shooting!
(Captain America) "Scarlet! Get him out of here! The kid doesn't know what he's doing! Forget Terminus! We've got civilians up here with us! Alpha's going to get us all killed!"
(Spider-Man) "Come one! I just got this on!"
"The Captain is saying that the plane can't take it anymore."
Amidst the awe-inspiring spectacle of Terminus's heroic intervention, my keen senses detected a palpable tremor in the co-pilot's demeanor. The veil of panic veiled his countenance, and his frantic actions betrayed an urgent need to reach out for aid. With a feverish urgency, he fumbled for his communication device, desperate to establish contact with an unseen presence.
(Spider-Man) "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! FUCK!" Takes the wheels "Fine! Let the guy with Spider-sense do the driving!"
"Co-Pilot is sending his last message to his family."
(Spider-Man) "I didn't need to hear that!"
"The Captain said that they can't stay in the air and that the plane needs to land."
(Spider-Man) "On that, we can agree."
"The captain said that he was getting a warning sign on the landing gear."
(Spider-Man) "Shit! I'll check it out!"
Through the turmoil of the chaotic scene, a maelstrom of emotions unfolded before me. A chorus of cries and pleas, borne of fear and desperation, permeated the air, tugging at the strings of my conscience. The anguish etched on their faces, mirroring the turmoil within their hearts, was a heart-rending sight to behold.
(Spider-Man) "EVERYONE HOLD ON! I'LL DO SOMETHING!"
Amidst the mayhem, my senses honed in on the intricate details of the dire situation. The chaos surrounding me seemed to blur, allowing my mind to focus with clarity on the immediate predicament at hand. A torrent of emotions surged within me, yet I remained resolute in my determination to avert catastrophe.
With deft and purposeful movements, I began the meticulous task of dismantling the webbing that acted as a makeshift barrier. As the resilient threads yielded to my efforts, the path to escape gradually materialized before me, unveiling a glimpse of hope amidst the calamity.
Yet, as my attention turned to the damaged landing gear, my heart sank with trepidation. The mechanical apparatus that held the fate of the plane's occupants in its grasp was grievously impaired, presenting a formidable obstacle that threatened to derail our chances of survival.
It's official We're amazingly, spectacularly, and sensationally fucked.
"The Captain is going to land."
(Spider-Man) "FUCK!"
In a feat of unparalleled determination, I embarked on a perilous journey, my mind grappling with the dire implications of my actions. The absence of a vital strut in the landing gear assembly left me with a daunting predicament, one that could only be resolved through an unthinkable sacrifice - my own self. I steeled myself against the weight of the task, knowing that my life hung in a delicate balance.
The weight of the economy plane and all its accompanying elements pressed heavily upon my mind, each pound of landing weight, every drop of fuel, and the lives of the passengers - all a colossal burden that demanded superhuman fortitude. My spider-sense, usually a guide in the face of danger, rang with shrill warnings, cautioning me against the unimaginable risks I was undertaking.
Yet, in the midst of this titanic challenge, an unwavering determination took hold of me. A surge of fierce resolve compelled me to forge ahead, to confront the peril with unwavering bravery. The gravity of the situation called for a daring leap of faith, and in that defining moment, I chose to confront destiny head-on.
As the plane's descent accelerated, the ground loomed ever closer, the tension mounting with each passing moment. Drawing upon every ounce of strength and willpower within me, I braced for impact, determined to bear the crushing weight upon my shoulders.
Finally, the moment of reckoning arrived - the plane's contact with the ground shook the very foundations of the earth. My body strained against the immense pressure, a symphony of pain and determination echoing through my senses. Yet, through the haze of exhaustion and anguish, my resolve remained unshaken.
The hard landing of the plane threatened to consume me, the cracks on the floor and the ominous sounds of the engines portending a cataclysmic conclusion. Grasping desperately for breath, I fought against the confines of exhaustion, driven by an indomitable spirit that refused to succumb.
Emerging from the maelstrom, I found myself sprawled on the floor, the echoes of screeching tires and the distant wails of sirens permeating the air. My body, battered and weary, longed for rest, yet the duty that lay before me demanded perseverance.
Summoning the last vestiges of my strength, I called upon my trusted companion, Kara, for a stamina potion. As the rejuvenating elixir coursed through my veins, I rose to my feet, my resolve undiminished.
The scene that met my eyes was one of chaos and urgency, with emergency responders scrambling to address the aftermath of the landing. My heart swelled with a mix of relief and gratitude, knowing that I had played a pivotal role in averting a catastrophe.
(Cop) Speaker "All emergency vehicles to runaway four. Divert all incoming flights. Runway four is now closed. Repeat. All vehicles to runway four."
(Fireman) Spots Spider-Man walking under the plane "Good god! Spider-Man, are you-?"
(Spider-Man) "Don't worry about me." Cracks neck "Just get the people out of the plane."
(Fireman) "We are already doing that, son. You sure you don't need to get checked?"
(Spider-Man) "Yeah, I'm sure. Don't worry."
(Fireman) "O-Ok."
(Police) "Spider-Man, do you know who caused this."
(Spider-Man) "Yeah, I do. A teenager. A menace. And I swear to you, he will be stopped. His behavior is not superhero material and he's unbelievably irresponsible. I'll take care of it."
(Police) "Yes, Spider-Man. Do your thing."
With a seamless display of acrobatic finesse, I propelled myself through the air, utilizing my trusty web-slinging technique to slingshot with unrivaled precision. The momentum carried me effortlessly towards the location where Terminus had been subdued, and with an agile grace, I alighted gracefully beside my esteemed companions - the Avengers.
(Falcon) "So? What do we do with the big guy? Can't exactly lock him up in the raft."
(Ironman) "Spider-Man can send him back to where he belongs without his Dark influence. One thing's for sure... Terminus's energy lance is getting shipped to our place."
(Spider-Man) "I need that lance."
(Ironman) "Spider-Man?"
(Captain America) "Why do you need it?"
(Spider-Man) "Didn't you all notice? That didn't just deflect Alpha's energy... It redirected it. Tony, help me study that tech... figure out how it works and I promise you... I'll put it to good use."
Next day
In the heart of the illustrious Avengers facility, amidst the gleaming lights and cutting-edge technology, a momentous collaboration was underway. Tony Stark, the brilliant mind behind Iron Man, and I, Spider-Man, had combined our prodigious intellects to craft a marvel of ingenuity - a machine poised to harness and neutralize the formidable Alpha's prodigious energies.
Having meticulously assembled the intricate components of this groundbreaking device, we were now poised to put it to the test. With a sense of purpose that belied the gravity of the situation, I extended the invitation to Alpha, urging him to partake in what I diplomatically referred to as "counseling."
(Spider-Man) A phone call "So? You finally coming in today, Andy?"
(Alpha) Almost on his way "Yeah, yeah. But think we can hurry this up, Spider? I got a table reading at 10. I'm a guest-starring on Vampire Diaries."
(Spider-Man) Not interested "Cool." Sees Alpha coming into the lab
(Alpha) "Huh? It's just you, Spider-Man? I thought Ironman was gonna be here."
(Spider-Man) "Nope. Ironman couldn't make it. I'm filling in."
(Alpha) "You can do that? Work the tech and all?"
(Spider-Man) "You learn a lot when you pass the time with geniuses." Motions the pod "Step right up."
(Alpha) Does so "Wait, something's off. The monitor looks different..."
(Spider-Man) "It's some alterations, you know? Updates?"
(Alpha) Starts getting very suspicious "What kind of-?"
(Spider-Man) "You'll see. And remember, Tony had nothing to do with this. This is all me." Taking all the blame
As the machine hummed with potent energy, Alpha emerged from the pod, his body surrounded by a faint, violet-tinged aura. The once formidable and unruly power he possessed had been stripped away, leaving him visibly weakened and subdued. His demeanor reflected a mix of astonishment and frustration.
(Alpha) Starts getting scared "Hey, I feel..."
(Spider-Man) "Alpha powered down. I can't take all of it out of you, but I can drain most of it away."
(Alpha) Starts crying "But... Why would you-?"
(Spider-Man) Because yesterday was a test. And you failed miserably. You used your power irresponsibly. Until you learn that lesson, you're repeating my class. And here's how it goes... Your Alpha days are a thing of the past. No more commercials, press tours, or TV spots. Say goodbye to the penthouse... And that's it for private tours. It's back to midtown high... Where you won't be a nobody anymore. You'll be the kid who USED to be somebody. And it'll suck for a while. Everyone will have a good laugh. But eventually, they'll forget. Everyone will. Even guys like the Jackal back into your original world. But you'll know. And I'll know... That little bit of that power's in you. Always there. And growing. And maybe, we'll try this again someday. With a mask. And definitely NOT as Alpha. That's over."
No Pov
After Spider-Man reproached Alpha, he entrusted him with a modest apartment and a dedicated caretaker, whose sole purpose was to keep a watchful eye on him. Enrolled in the esteemed Midtown High of this new reality, Alpha's heroic exploits had garnered swift recognition, but along with it came a bitter undercurrent of scorn and ridicule. The envious whispers echoed relentlessly, taunting him with cutting remarks such as, "What brings a man of affluence to dwell in the squalor of Midtown? Surely, this milieu is beneath your exalted stature," or derisively suggesting, "Perhaps he is merely indulging in a sociological experiment, observing the struggles of the less fortunate in our realm, which he can scarcely fathom as someone accustomed to privilege and wealth."
Thus, the voices invaded Andy, now robbed of his former identity as a celebrated hero, stripped of the immense power that once set him apart. He found himself grappling with the same tribulations as ordinary individuals, no longer basking in the glory of his former abilities, but instead relegated to mere fragments of his past prowess, barely worth a penny in comparison. Yet, beneath the surface of his apparent resignation, a tempest brewed—RAGE, a potent emotion seething from deep within him.
Seething with indignation, a tempest of anger churned within him as he confronted the wall-crawler's audacity to strip away a significant portion of his once formidable power. The presumption of treating him like a mere child, reprimanding him as though he were under paternal authority, fueled an intense loathing within his heart. The notion of being kept under surveillance, as if he were a bothersome pest to be monitored, only served to stoke the flames of resentment.
In his core, a profound aversion took root towards this world's revered heroes, their collective gaze an incessant reminder of his diminished standing. Amidst the tumultuous welter of emotions, one singular figure became the focal point of his disdain – Spider-Man.
(???) "Finally remembering why you were part of the Dark's?"
Deep within the recesses of his consciousness, a haunting voice beckoned an otherworldly entity that extended an unorthodox invitation, conferring upon him unimaginable power at a time of his deepest desolation. In his original realm, he had been an inconspicuous figure, an unnoticed soul lost amidst the sea of anonymity, battling through academic mediocrity, and grappling with the suffocating sense of worthlessness that even his own parents had acknowledged. The burden became so unbearable that he once contemplated ending his life, until that fateful encounter with the sinister voice, emanating from the very darkness of his room.
A chilling smile adorned the entity's countenance, evoking an eerie semblance to the infamous Jack The Ripper, while its offer of boundless dominion, to reign as king over conquered worlds shrouded in darkness, stirred both fear and temptation within him. The chance to wield such extraordinary power was alluring, especially for one who had felt powerless and unremarkable in his own reality, a world where heroes like Spider-Man reigned as paragons of virtue.
Though a hero's path might not have been his initial inclination, the allure of absolute freedom, to shape the cosmos according to his desires, swayed him to accept the entity's sinister proposition. Thus, he became Alpha, bestowed with powers drawn from the myriad variations of his own self across different dimensions, each one showcasing a prosperous and content existence, starkly contrasting his own ill-fated circumstances.
Sent on his inaugural mission with seemingly minimal direction, he found himself drifting through the fabric of the multiverse until he chanced upon the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where destiny would bring him face-to-face with the protagonist of this tale – a Spider-Man of this realm, donning a red and black costume, a darker and more menacing version than the one he admired in his own world.
As he embarked on his intended rampage, prepared to unleash his newfound might, the unexpected occurred: the enigmatic Spider-Man, instead of challenging him as a typical adversary, engaged him in a dialogue. This peculiar twist gave rise to an introspective moment, a confrontation with his inner conflicts and doubts. The confrontation he had envisioned metamorphosed into an intimate exchange of life stories, the beginning of an unforeseen connection that blurred the lines between foes and confidants.
As minutes stretched into hours, the turbulent storm of rage subsided, and an inexplicable camaraderie blossomed between the two. The world-weary Alpha felt an indescribable sense of solace in the presence of this Spider-Man, an empathetic figure who defied conventional expectations and extended a helping hand, a gesture rarely offered in his own forsaken world.
In this unforeseen alliance, Alpha found himself embraced by the benevolence he had yearned for, not from his familiar Spider-Man but from another version, transcending the boundaries of reality. The allure of malevolence relinquished its grip, replaced by the embrace of compassion, and in a transformative moment of self-realization, he relinquished the influence of darkness, choosing a different path.
In the end, the enigmatic encounter with this alternate Spider-Man rekindled a glimmer of hope within Alpha's heart, proving that even in the tapestry of infinite dimensions, the essence of Spider-Man remained steadfast - a beacon of understanding, kindness, and the unwavering belief in the potential for redemption in every soul. And as the entity's malevolent influence waned, Alpha's powers remained, now wielded with a newfound sense of responsibility and purpose, leaving him poised to traverse a path untrodden, guided by the lessons gleaned from the fortuitous meeting with a Spider-Man who had transcended the confines of universes to offer compassion and, ultimately, a chance at renewal.
(Spider-Man) "Go be a hero this time."
And so, with unwavering determination, he immersed himself in the arduous pursuit of heroism, demonstrating an astonishing fervor that swiftly captured the attention of the media. His virtuous deeds proliferated, extinguishing nefarious plots and quelling conflicts that would have otherwise claimed numerous lives. At long last, he had transformed into the very embodiment of his aspirations – a bona fide hero.
Soon, an enticing offer arrived on his doorstep – a proposition that would propel him from hero to celebrity, replete with all the trappings of fame and fortune. The allure of monetary prosperity and the prospect of transcending his former impoverished existence beckoned, casting a seductive shadow over his conscience.
It was at this crucial juncture that he embarked on a path fraught with peril – a path marred by the insidious trinity of greed, lust, and pride. The allure of endless luxuries enveloped him, from unimaginable wealth and global recognition to lavish feasts, luxurious abodes, and a legion of admirers, including the irresistible allure of a multitude of women.
He yielded to the allure of ubiquity, making his presence felt across a diverse spectrum – from social media to news outlets, from silver screens to television shows, even gracing food posters and merchandise. The world knew him, revered him, and adored him, his fame reaching astronomical heights that even approached the echelons of the revered Avengers – the pinnacle of heroic camaraderie he aspired to join.
With each passing day, his powers swelled, surging exponentially as he scaled the ladders of stardom. The prospect of becoming an Avenger loomed tantalizingly close – an ambition that seemed palpable and yet, elusive. To stand alongside the most formidable champions, to etch his name among those celebrated demigods, became his overarching objective, driving him to perform awe-inspiring feats in pursuit of their elusive nod of approval.
But fate, with its capricious whims, dashed his dreams against the craggy cliffs of reality. As the days wore on, the conviction that he, as a hero of immense prowess, surely merited a place among the Avengers, eroded like sand slipping through his fingers. Doubt seeped into his heart, corroding his once steadfast belief that recognition, validation, and a place of significance would be bestowed upon him.
In the depths of despair, an embittered resolve took root. The world had often dealt him a cruel hand, its every semblance of happiness ephemeral and the pursuit of power now redefined by a desire to exact retribution for the world's perceived injustices. He questioned why he should learn a lesson when life itself seemed inherently predisposed to thwarting his aspirations.
In his solitude, the dark echoes of his past beckoned, whispering that he should have remained aligned with the darkness, for at least within that realm, power was unshackled by moral constraints. The scars of disappointment, each time happiness slipped away like a wisp of smoke, seared his soul, compelling him to embrace a newfound resolve – one that might plunge him into an abyss of malevolence, exacting revenge for the world's perceived transgressions. Yet, in this bitter maelstrom of emotions, he could not help but wonder if the world's iniquities were mirrored by his own imperfections, prompting a tumultuous introspection that would ultimately redefine the course of his fate.
(???) "I see you have come to your senses."
(Dark Alpha) "Yes... Fuck this and fuck everything else... Spider-Man dies today."
Karito Pov
As I reclined in the comfort of my abode, weariness weighed upon me after a taxing day. My thoughts gravitated towards Alpha, and I hoped that he would comprehend the significance of my actions. For one cannot dismiss their responsibilities lightly; the allure of fame can ensnare even the most resolute souls, engendering a relentless pursuit of reputation, respect, and power. It wields an insidious power, transforming individuals until they are unrecognizable, detached from the essence of their former selves. Alpha, once a humble figure, now stood perched atop a precipice of renown, his connection to the struggles of ordinary existence obscured by the intoxicating allure of influence.
Thus, someone needed to puncture the veneer of his elevated status, to remind him of the perspectives and challenges faced by others. A reminder that the pursuit of self-interest should not come at the cost of disregarding the plights of fellow beings, unknown to us but still woven into the fabric of existence, deserving of compassion and consideration.
The noxious underbelly of humanity, driven by boredom, entitlement, and perverse amusement, perpetuates a cycle of hurt, trauma, and cruelty, a reality that sickens me to the core. The act of stealing from others to sate one's own desires, wielding manipulation to establish dominion over unsuspecting souls, or partaking in the macabre thrill of extinguishing life simply for excitement – these heinous deeds cast a shadow over the essence of humanity itself.
And yet, amid the murkiness of this reality, there exist beacons of hope – virtuous souls who defy the prevailing darkness, the altruistic individuals who selflessly place themselves in harm's way to save strangers, the kindness that finds its way to help a senior citizen cross the road, or the unwavering devotion of those who stand by their loved ones through thick and thin.
The dichotomy between good and evil prevails. Each person's journey toward growth and redemption unfolds differently, for we are a tapestry of diverse experiences and perceptions. Yet, within the labyrinth of existence, lies the quest for meaning, a yearning to discern our purpose in this vast expanse of existence.
The road to discovery may be arduous, fraught with countless moments of doubt and despair, but we cannot surrender. The essence of existence is illuminated when we forge a connection with our raison d'être, our purpose that transcends the confines of our individuality, intertwining with the lives of others, imparting meaning and depth to our existence.
Thus, I hope Alpha discerns the beauty in this realization, for if not, it is with a heavy heart that I contemplate the actions that may lie ahead – actions that will bring sorrow, born out of a profound understanding of the necessity to safeguard the sanctity of life.
Small-time skip
In the gentle embrace of slumber, tranquility enveloped me until the dulcet tones of Kara's voice roused me from my peaceful repose.
"Player, a Dark entity has appeared."
What? Another one?
"Player... It's Alpha... He's enraged... At you.'
Tch, fucking great. He was so pissed he went back with the Darks?
"Apparently so."
Goddamn, it! I just detest people who don't listen! FUCK!
"Not everyone will listen to you, Player. Some will, but remember that there are others that you give them advice and it just exits on the other ear."
Shit. I'll do this myself. The others don't have strong enough weapons for this.
I" do recommend attacking Alpha now. Due to the reason that he's severely depowered, this can be your chance."
Alright... Put my suit on.
"Yes, Player."
As I adorned my attire, the immaculate suit that bespoke my heroic identity, I braced myself to venture beyond the confines of my abode. Yet, before taking a single step, an instinctive awareness surged through me, the tingling tendrils of my spider senses awakening with uncanny swiftness.
(Dark Alpha) "SPIDER-MAN!!!"
With unparalleled velocity, Alpha soared through the skies, hurtling toward my location with awe-inspiring swiftness. However, in a moment of swift discernment, I instinctively leaned back, my gaze fixated on the airborne spectacle as he sailed over me, only to collide resoundingly with the edifice of my home, the impact jarring the very foundations of the structure.
(Dark Alpha) "You think you can scold me! Do you think you can tell me what to do?! Fuck you! I can do whatever I want! I'm FUCKING ALPHA!"
(Spider-Man) "That sounds like something a beta male would say."
(Dark Alpha) "RAGH!!"
Anticipating Alpha's intent to unleash a torrent of energy projectiles upon me, my senses were attuned to every nuance of his movements. Swiftly, I launched myself forward with unyielding speed, evading the relentless barrage of cerulean energy arrows that darted toward me with formidable precision. My mastery of lateral repulsion facilitated seamless movements, enabling me to close the distance between us in an instant.
With an agile flourish, I materialized directly before Alpha, seizing the opportune moment to execute a skillful uppercut to his jaw, propelling him aloft in an acrobatic arc that saw him soar through the roof of my dwelling. As he whirled in the air, his fury mounting, I observed the culmination of his rage as he channeled even greater reserves of energy, dispatching a relentless salvo of destructive projectiles that assailed the entirety of the structure.
Yet, my unwavering achromatic skills, honed through relentless training, coupled with the deftness of my web-slinging prowess, allowed me to evade the impending cataclysm with flawless precision. Utilizing the web as both shield and slingshot, I catapulted myself towards Alpha, targeting him with a devastating Venom punch – a move emblematic of my formidable strength and strategic cunning. The force of the blow sent him hurtling with thunderous impact, colliding forcefully with the facade of a neighboring building, the cacophonous sound of the collision reverberating through the city streets.
(Spider-Man) Taps an earpiece in his mask "To the Avengers. Alpha has returned to the Darkness. I will take him down. Just keep in check the civilians, keep them away from our fight."
As he deftly dispatched the crucial message to summon the Avengers, an ominous spectacle unfolded before his very eyes. Alpha, enveloped in an explosive surge of raw energy, radiated with an almost ethereal luminosity, a volatile force that shook the very foundation of the building surrounding him. The structure, unable to withstand the cataclysmic might that now surged within the formidable entity, began to shudder and splinter, succumbing to the relentless power that threatened to reduce it to mere rubble.
"No civilians were detected in the building."
As Kara corroborated my apprehensions, a resolute determination took hold of me, and I mustered the energy for another potent Venom punch, propelling myself with a formidable burst toward the building where Alpha resided. He, too, readied himself, surging with energy, and launched into the fray, charging his own devastating attack, hurtling towards me in an electrifying clash amidst the boundless expanse of the sky.
The collision of our mighty forces spawned an intense shockwave that reverberated through the airspace, shattering the pristine glass façades of nearby buildings. As the momentum waned, I found myself descending, but instinct kicked in, and with a swift web shot, I ensnared Alpha's chest, pulling him towards me in mid-air. In an intricate dance of punches, we exchanged blows, each strike infused with kinetic energy and venomous power. My speed and agility afforded me the upper hand, allowing me to land blows with heightened efficiency, propelling Alpha on the defensive.
With the ground drawing nearer, I seized the moment, expertly maneuvering to bring Alpha into a controlled fall, slamming him face-first onto the floor with a thunderous impact. Even in that position, I maintained the relentless assault, delivering a flurry of venom-charged punches, each one escalating in energy and intensity.
Driven to desperation, Alpha summoned his remaining strength, employing his powers to lift and hurl a car at me. The force of the impact dislodged me, providing him with an opening to retaliate. However, before he could regroup, an opportune intervention came from an unexpected source - I was aided by a well-timed blow, a car propelled towards him with precision, courtesy of yours truly.
Alpha's trajectory veered drastically as he collided into a wall, yet, undeterred, he emerged from the ensuing flames, a menacing visage etched upon his countenance. The confrontation escalated as Alpha prepared to unleash a mighty blow, and in kind, I reciprocated with a haymaker of my own, the clash of our fists generating a cataclysmic shockwave. The ground beneath us cracked, violent winds howled, and the air was alight with the crackling energy of our momentous confrontation.
Our mutual determination propelled us to channel even greater power, intensifying the onslaught, and culminating in an explosion of epic proportions. The very landscape became engulfed in a blinding light, a brilliant fusion of blue energy and electrifying webs, the cacophonous crescendo of our combined force rippling across the terrain, encapsulating the entire vicinity in an awe-inspiring display of titanic power.
The titanic clash between Alpha and me reached a zenith of potency, a crescendo of formidable forces converging in a cataclysmic display of power. The overwhelming surge thrust us backward, each propelled to opposite ends of the once tranquil streets, where the echoes of our impact reverberated.
As the dust settled and the relentless fury of the encounter continued unabated, I swiftly regained my footing, resolute in my determination to confront Alpha once more. Employing the art of web-swinging, I traversed the battleground with nimble grace, while he propelled himself with unstoppable momentum towards our fateful collision.
Alpha, unwavering in his determination, sought to tackle me head-on, but I, in a masterful display of lateral repulsion, eluded his assault with deft precision, launching a web to ensnare him in my webbing. With a swift yank, I brought him crashing to the ground, leveraging my strategic advantage over him.
Determined to capitalize on the moment, I infused my fists with electric potency, preparing to unleash a formidable attack. Yet, Alpha, fueled by a sudden surge of unparalleled energy, launched a relentless counteroffensive, tackling me with a ferocity that defied expectation. The brute force of the impact sent us hurtling through the edifice of an entire building, each agonizing collision with the unforgiving walls eliciting grunts of pain.
Refusing to yield, I spun around Alpha with a graceful twist, swiftly planting my foot upon his chest, leveraging my momentum to deftly flip him over. The resulting force sent him crashing through the remainder of the structure, the symphony of shattering debris punctuating the intensity of the moment.
Observing Alpha's incapacitation on the streets below, I bounded with extraordinary agility towards his location. Swiftly, he regained his footing, yet before he could fully compose himself, I executed a formidable flying kick aimed at his vulnerable form. Alas, Alpha demonstrated his unwavering resilience, unleashing a point-blank barrage of energy projectiles that forcibly propelled me into the metal confines of a nearby car.
The pulsating surge of pain reverberated through my being, but determination surged within me like an unyielding tide. Struggling to rise, I braced myself for his continued onslaught, but instead of yielding, I adopted an evasive dance, nimbly evading each energy blast with uncanny precision. With every skillful dodge, a hint of vexation flickered in Alpha's countenance, further fueling his relentless assault in pursuit of my elusive form.
(Dark Alpha) "GODAMN IT! STAND STILL!"
(Spider-Man) "How about no?"
(Dark Alpha) "RAHHH!"
In the wake of mounting frustration, Alpha descended into an unbridled frenzy, his normally confident demeanor devolving into that of an agitated maelstrom. With unrestrained vehemence, he unleashed a torrential barrage of energy projectiles, carelessly propelling them in every direction with reckless abandon. The once orderly cityscape now bore witness to chaos, as cars were haphazardly hurled through the air like mere playthings under his seemingly unhinged control. His actions echoed those of a man possessed, a madman unleashing unchecked power upon the world around him, heedless of the consequences.
(Spider-Man) "Damn, sensitive much?"
With a measured breath, I closed my eyes, allowing my heightened spider-sense to extend its reach, sensing the myriad of projectiles and vehicles hurtling through the tumultuous air. Instinct guided my every move as I deftly traversed the perilous path towards Alpha, a symphony of danger surrounding me.
With preternatural reflexes, I nimbly avoided the onslaught of projectiles, redirecting some of them with a masterful blend of stingers and electrifying energy. The dance continued as I encountered the oncoming vehicles, my stingers slicing through them with utmost finesse, rendering the daunting obstacles inconsequential.
Alpha's desperation only escalated, evidenced by his audacious attempt to strike me with a bus. However, rather than cower in the face of this intimidating assault, I seized the moment, propelled through the windshield, and deftly navigated inside the bus, effortlessly breaking through its back exit.
In a calculated display of mastery, I landed before Alpha, my presence instilling trepidation within him. Summoning every ounce of determination, I evaded his wild punch with elegant fluidity, retaliating with two rapid punches to his face, followed by an acrobatic spinning kick, a breathtaking sequence that underscored my skillful prowess in combat.
In a resounding display of defeat, Alpha succumbed to the ground, his once formidable presence now diminished. Audible grunts of agony escaped him as he lay sprawled, a stark contrast to the figure towering above him, my own countenance betraying only minor indications of the confrontation's toll.
(Dark Alpha) "Why... WHY CAN'T I BEAT YOU?!"
(Spider-Man) "Simple. I'm just better."
(Dark Alpha) "No! I'm definitely more powerful! I should've beaten you!"
(Spider-Man) "That's where the draining of most of your powers comes in. I didn't just let myself be seen by an angry teenager on purpose. I knew you were in a weakened state, so I took the chance to taunt you and take you down before you got too powerful for me to handle."
(Dark Alpha) "You bastard!"
(Spider-Man) "That's why I told you to reflect but you didn't. Maybe you could've been smarter and waited it out but you were so desperate to take your revenge on me that you just went ahead and started a fight. It's true a little bit had returned but it's only a VERY small portion." Walks towards Alpha
(Dark Alpha) "You! Get away!"
(Spider-Man) "You brought this upon yourself." Grabs him by the face
"Skill Hack is being used... The dark influence has been removed... Powers were permanently removed."
Gently yet resolutely, I lowered Alpha to the ground, the remnants of his once formidable power now entirely relinquished. A profound transformation had overtaken him, as evidenced by the haunting visage etched upon his countenance – an expression void of hope, riddled with despair, and stripped of any vestige of vitality. At that moment, his face became an emblem of desolation, an empty husk of the formidable figure he once embodied. No flicker of emotion graced his features, merely a haunting look of shock that seemed to encapsulate the depths of his despondency. He had become a captive of his own forlorn fate, ensnared by the burden of despair.
(Andrew) "You... You took them away..."
(Spider-Man) "Yes, I did, Andy."
(Andrew) "You... I'll KILL YOU!" Punches him
(Spider-Man) Doesn't even budge "I gave you a chance... And you threw it away."
(Andrew) "YOU'RE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! YOU TAKE MY LIFE AWAY!"
(Spider-Man) "I tried to help you but you pushed me away for what? Money? Power?"
(Andrew) "I had everything! And it's all over because of you! I WILL KILL YOU!"
(Spider-Man) "... You are too dangerous to be left alive... The Darkness will crawl its way to you... I cannot let that happen again."
(Andrew) "What? Y-You can't do that..." Afraid "Spider-Man doesn't kill? Right?"
(Spider-Man) "Do I look like a normal Spider-Man to you?"
(Andrew) "You... You wouldn't kill a teenager..."
(Spider-Man) "That's true..."
(Andrew) relief
(Spider-Man) "Somebody else can." Opens a portal with his hacking skill
(Andrew) "What are yo-?!" Gets grabbed by the throat
(Spider-Man) Throws him inside the portal "Welcome to the Phantom Zone. Say hello to the phantoms for me." Closes the portal
Amidst the ominous silence that followed, Spider-Man's ears were besieged by the harrowing echoes of Andrew's anguished screams, reverberating hauntingly amidst the macabre symphony of rending flesh as the Phantoms callously tore him apart. A chilling reminder of the insidious malevolence that lurked within the shadows.
Returning to his now desolate abode, Spider-Man bore witness to the wreckage that lay before him. Undeterred, he forged a path to the esteemed Avengers facility, his soul weighed heavy with the weight of loss, and his heart was burdened by the magnitude of the ordeal. Unyielding in his resolve, he embarked on a solitary journey, eschewing the need for consolation or communication, propelled solely by the thirst for answers that gnawed at his core.
"Player... It's... Getting easier for you..."
What is?
"Killing..."
I guess so... I just stopped feeling it eventually... It's bad, isn't it?
"It's concerning but he was a threat... If left alive the chances he would be possessed again were high and he would have definitely come for revenge."
I... I'm just gonna sleep.
"Yes, Player. Goodnight."
Goodnight, Kara.
Next day
Morning
Gradually roused from slumber, my senses attuned to the resounding alarm that stirred the other members of the illustrious Avengers. Knowing well that their late-night return might prompt them to dismiss the intrusive alarm, I, nonetheless, chose to rise, propelled by a sense of responsibility. Consciously awakening from my slumber, I embarked on a mindful routine, first tending to my visage with a refreshing wash, followed by the diligent cleansing of my teeth. A contemplative pause led me to conclude that a rejuvenating shower would be in order, setting the tone for the day ahead.
A few minutes later
Having indulged in a refreshing cleansing ritual, I emerged from the confines of my abode, my eyes keenly surveying the surroundings, seeking any signs of fellow inhabitants amidst the bustling presence of workers. Finding solitude in my immediate vicinity, I proceeded with purposeful steps toward the kitchen, my mind set on the culinary delights that beckoned.
With thoughtful discernment, I chose to craft a delectable breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and hashbrowns, their sizzling aromas permeating the air. A confluence of flavors beckoned, the gratifying reminder of my adaptable palate, shaped by a childhood of obliging culinary exploration, my mother's insistence on appreciation serving as a lasting influence.
Midst the culinary indulgence, my heightened senses detected the approach of another presence, and I turned to behold Natasha, her own enigmatic aura defining her entrance, an emblem of strength and grace.
(Natasha) "Good morning, Karito."
(Karito) "Morning."
As the rhythmic symphony of cooking continued to weave its aromatic tapestry, an additional presence graced the kitchen with an air of elegance. Wanda, the enigmatic enchantress, made her entrance, exuding an aura of mystical allure that cast a captivating aura upon the room. Her arrival, like an ethereal apparition, added an enigmatic touch to the already stirring ambiance, infusing the atmosphere with an intangible sense of wonder.
(Wanda) "Oh, look who decided to be an early bird."
(Karito) "It won't happen again I assure you."
(Wanda) "Now that you're awake. Make something for us, pretty please?"
(Karito) "Seriously?"
(Natasha) "You cook better than anyone here. Literally."
(Karito) "Ugh, fine."
(Natasha) "Yay!" Hugs Karito from behind "You're so nice."
(Karito) "You're welcome."
As the moments transpired, a harmonious exchange of words danced like an eloquent sonnet, flowing seamlessly between the two extraordinary women. Their conversation seemed like an enchanting duet.
Meanwhile, I deftly arranged three exquisite plates on the table, each one a carefully curated masterpiece adorned with culinary delights. With a gracious gesture, I summoned the two captivating beings to join me.
(Karito) "Breakfast is served." Goes straight to eating
With graceful elegance, Natasha and Wanda glided to their respective seats at the exquisitely arranged table. A profound silence enveloped the room as they cast their penetrating gazes upon me, their eyes akin to windows to the depths of their souls.
(Karito) "What?"
(Natasha) "Are you okay?"
(Wanda) "You seemed less... cheerful."
(Karito) "Yeesh, I wonder what gave that out."
(Natasha) "Don't be an ass. Come on, what's wrong?"
(Karito) "Nah, everything is good. I'm just not a morning person."
(Wanda) "Is it about Alpha?"
(Karito) Stops eating "Fine, you got me."
(Natasha) "Where is he?"
(Karito) "He won't bother us anymore."
(Natasha) "What do you mean by that?"
(Wanda) "You don't mean..."
(Karito) "Yeah, I mean exactly that."
(Natasha) "You killed him?! A teenager?!"
(Karito) "Nah, the phantom zone did."
(Wanda) "You said that's for extremely dangerous Darks!"
(Karito) "And he was."
(Natasha) "He was a confused kid!"
(Karito) "He was a pawn for the Darks who was so consumed by revenge that he didn't care where he fought me, he wanted me dead and then he would do what he was meant to do. Conquering."
(Wanda) "I..."
(Karito) "Don't." Finishes eating "Welp, I'll see you girls later." Suddenly disappears
(Wanda) "Did he teleport or something?"
(Natasha) "No, he's using his camouflage ability."
They see the door move and close.
(Natasha) "I'm worried about him."
(Wanda) "Yeah... I feel like we put too much pressure on him."
(Natasha) "And the things he has to do..."
Outside the Avengers facility
Emerging from my concealed state, I gracefully shed the camouflage that veiled my presence, my keen eyes taking in the surrounding scenery. The concern that my companions felt for me was evident, but the weight of my experiences weighed heavily on my heart, leaving me hesitant to delve into the conversation. For now, I yearned for solitude, a respite to find solace in the tranquility of my own thoughts.
"Player, it's possible for you to visit the X-Men."
Really? How?
"Your hacking skill is at its max, so all you need to do is think about the mutants you meet back a few years ago."
That's it?
"Yeah."
Maybe I'll spend time with Logan or something.
"That'll be nice for you, Player."
Alright, it's settled.
With a profound sense of nostalgia and reverence, I closed my eyes, allowing cherished memories of Logan, a paragon of valor and wisdom, to envelop my consciousness. As I summoned the full magnitude of my prodigious hacking aptitude, I embarked on a remarkable endeavor that transcended the realm of mere digital manipulation. This was a journey that delved into the very essence of existence itself, akin to a virtuoso conductor orchestrating a symphony of cosmic forces.
Channeling my unwavering focus and unyielding determination, I harnessed the enigmatic powers that governed reality, manipulating the intricacies of time and space. Each keystroke resonated like an ethereal note, harmonizing with the universal rhythms, and like a master artisan shaping the fabric of the cosmos, I crafted the pathways that led to the elusive portal.
With each calculated action, the portal materialized before me like an otherworldly mirage, a radiant aperture bridging the divide between realities. Like a celestial traveler venturing into the unknown, I stepped with unwavering poise and determination into the captivating portal, traversing the threshold that transcended the boundaries of possibility. At that moment, the past and the future coalesced, and I embarked on an extraordinary odyssey to an alternate realm, where untold wonders and mysteries awaited my discovery.
