The goal was simple. Find something about the World Tree that could be of use in resolving the situation.
Given the fact that a large margin of the monsters spawned were from the world of Noxta, it was almost a guarantee that the answer to the large Tree's existence could be found within the volumes about the aforementioned world. With the knowledge already possessed, enough theories could be drawn. And when a good amount of information was obtained through the journals, a proper counterattack could be planned out and executed.
All Kruger and the other Aramlians had to do was finish before the dual Adventurers kicked the proverbial bucket.
It was a race against the clock.
That being said, it wasn't as easy as skimming through the numerous books lining the shelves of the Parthenon.
