It has been about 2 weeks of being in this cell, constantly having company from the king. Talking about random things like, how's earth, what's the food like there and vice versa with my questions. I've been getting a little close to the king and got to know his name, it was Huraca. A unique name and I liked it very much.
While I was on my cell bed, I threw my pillow up and down, trying not to get bored until I heard keys being jingled and a creak echoing out. I looked to my right and saw that the cell door was open with Huraca standing there in his humanoid form, wearing a full set of royal clothing.
"Are you–"
"Yes, by my order."
I was shocked but excited. I got out of bed and walked out of the cell for the first time. Huraca started to walk first and I followed suit, side by side next to him as I admired the infrastructure of this place. "Does this mean I'm okay to roam?"
"Well, not exactly. You won't be able to roam around the kingdom due to the people still having some controversy over you. So you'll be staying in the castle instead."
"Still a good thing, I can finally walk around now."
He chuckled, "Yeah, just…leave it to me when you encounter the queen."
As we were going up the stairs, Huraca opened the wooden door to reveal the hall of the castle. It had a red carpet going down it as well as large windows with the light going through them, giving a heavenly glow as well as the hall being large enough to make Huraca's height seem small. I admired the hall as I went to look out the window.
I looked outside and saw an entire kingdom, multiple houses and residents walking outside with walls that seemed to wrap all around the city. Outside of the city was the dense forest that I had to live in before.
"Beautiful, is it not?" King Huraca said.
"It is, I would've never imagined how big a kingdom could actually be."
He chuckled as he told me to follow him. We kept on walking down the hall with the guards behind me, they were above my height but they could never approach Huraca's.
"I am wondering, where are we going?"
"Well, since I'm letting you out of that cramped cell. I'm taking you to your living quarters." He said, swaying his tail left to right.
"A bedroom! In a castle! I wonder how beautiful it would be?"
"It's no different to any other bedrooms, as you called it." He said, turning the corner and exclaimed, "Ah, speaking about it! Here it is." He waved his arm to the door. As I opened the wooden door, it was a bit heavy to even open but I managed to do so and got to see the bedroom. It was beautiful as I had hoped it would be as I saw the giant bed, catching my eyes in an instant. It looked like it would be heaven to lay on top of it.
"This is where you will reside, please make well of it." He walked away as one guard stood there and tossed me the keys to the room and followed suit, closing the door behind them.
I caught it, feeling some weight to it as I decided to sit down on the bed. I sank down on it as it made a creaking sound, laying down slowly as the pillow engulfed my head. I looked out the window next to me, letting the sun's light go through it and hitting the carpet. I inspected the room a bit more and saw that there was a wardrobe. I got up and opened the wardrobe that was there to see what clothing they had that could fit me. None of them did. Almost all of them are larger than me so I had to stick with the white shirt and brown pants. Though they're clothes do look weird, in my opinion, they looked like they were tight and it had a silky smooth feel to it. One of them was a long sleeve with a button to roll and keep the sleeves in place! I really like that idea for fashion. I took it out of the closet and I tried it out. To everyone's guess, it didn't fit. I sighed and decided to keep it on as I wanted to wander around for a bit.
The hall is so extravagant that I cannot stop looking at it. The sleeves of the new shirt I had on were extended far from my hands, dangling loosely as I wandered.
I then bumped into someone accidentally.
I apologized for it right away until I got a glimpse of who it was, it was a lady, another humanoid wolf in something that looked like a maid dress. She was shocked by my sudden appearance.
"I'm sorry, I'll be on my way." I said, walking around her.
That was when I felt a tug from my collar as I came to a stop. "Stop right there." she said with an authoritative voice. "That attire doesn't fit you at all! Why are you wearing that one?"
"It looked nice when I first laid my eyes on it."
She sighed as she took it off of my body, using her tendril-like tentacles to do so. "Come with me, I'll get you your fashion that fits you."
She grabbed my wrist as I walked with her to a room that was like a tailor shop. I admired the room before she wrapped tape around my waist, arms, shoulders and legs.
"Do you think these are to your taste?" She said, lifting up some weird-looking shoes that looked to be black leather.
"I don't mind it." I said.
She placed it down on the floor and continued measuring my body while complimenting me about my physique. At the end, she told me to wait for a while and gave me some clothing to cover myself with. Even though they didn't fit, I took them kindly and thanked her before I walked out of the room and kept on exploring.
It's nice to be in a castle, it makes you feel like a king. I walked down the halls, turning corners until I saw stairs leading down. I walked down it to see where Huraca is in this huge building while making myself look presentable. As I got down, the hall continued as I could barely see a faint open area by the end of it. I slowly walked up and fixed my hair before I got into this huge, open area with the exit to the castle to my right. I walked up to it and saw the outside and took in a deep breath and sighed.
Before I was pulled back.
"Now what are you thinking of doing?" A feminine voice said as I was pinned up against a wall. I looked and saw the attire that she wore was similar to a queen's dress. "You must be the human that Huraca kept in that cell. How did you get out of it?" She said, looking at me fiercely with those yellow eyes.
"Bertilia, please do let him go." Huraca said walking down the hall.
"Did you let him go on purpose?!" She said, putting me down slowly onto the ground but still holding on to me.
"Yes I did."
"What would the public think about…" She waved her hand around me, "This?"
"He's safe darling, besides…" He whispered something into her ear, already giving me the impression that he isn't saying nice things about me.
"Mm…very well." She said, letting me go and dragging me to her, seeming like she is inspecting me.
"Blue eyes, white skin, black hair that is very long and messy..." She sighed and yelled at Huraca. "You let this boy out of his cell without proper CARE!!!"
"I–It slipped past my mind—"
"I don't even want an excuse from you. You still have so much to learn." She says as she looks at me again. "You are dirty from living in that dreadful forest. Here, follow me." She said, carrying me with her tentacles as I looked back at Huraca, he just shrugged.
I feel pampered and…a bit puny.

"There we go, freshened up to the brim." She said as I was wearing the clothes that had been tailored by the maid I met before. She brought a mirror for me to see myself in. "I didn't know that you had already tailored yourself some clothes already. I'm impressed." She complimented me.
Meanwhile my mind is not processing what the hell is even going on. It is all going so fast in such a short period of time that my heart feels like it's going to stop at any moment. I was in a graveyard, then a forest with demons, now in a castle with demonic wolves that can become humanoid while also being treated like a child…compared to one as well!
I wondered why they were being so kind to me.
"Well, what do you think?" She said,
I rubbed my eyes as I sighed and sat down on a chair.
"Are you alright? Do you not like the outfit?"
"No, no. It's alright, the attire is beautiful. It's just…it's just that this is all going way too quick for me."
"You're stressed. Aren't you?"
"I think???" I said.
She sat down on a chair next to me and said, "I understand, being in a completely different world."
I sighed as I rubbed my eyes in frustration, "Can…Can you bring me to my room? Please?"
She stood up with a worried face as she gestured to me to follow. In a few minutes, I was back in my room. "Thank you." I said.
She closed the door with a little nod as I flopped onto the bed. Sighing, knowing that I have to get used to this soon.
