Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Prologue

"This is not a test….This is a direct broadcast from the government of the…."

The sky was on fire when the alien ships descended upon the Earth. Some people ran in panic, others hid behind the flimsy cars and the large trucks that they hoped would act as protection. There were those who took out even bigger weapons and began shooting at the sky.

The destruction that was brought up on the Earth by the arrival of alien ships was an event that was bent to reset humanity for good.

They had dropped down on the cities like flies. Unfamiliar creatures. almost similar to humans in a sinister way. But the most distinguishing characteristic about them was the tentacles on top of their heads that seemed to be carrying the transmission back to the ships. Screams erupted from everywhere around.

What used to be a cloud in the sky was now a large disc-shaped spaceship.

"Your planet has become unstable and damaged due to humanity's misuse of its resources and disregard for its potential. This is a message from the leaders of Planet Zalon, who have decided to take action to save the planet from further destruction by human hands. You are now under the control of the Zaloninanth empire. Remain in place and do not resist….."

And yet resisting was what man did best. In the face of something completely destructive and unfamiliar, everyone tried to disappear from sight. There was a large explosion in the distance that caused the earth to tremble. Those who had earlier been driving struggled to pull their loved ones from under the crashed cars and the debris of the explosion.

There were those who ran for their lives, leaving behind people they once knew. There was the sound of cries and screams from everywhere around. The aliens seemed not in the slightest threatened by the large human population that obviously outnumbered them.

The alien ship lingering under the sky slowly approached safe haven. The exterior of the spaceship appeared to be sleek and technologically advanced. It had an elongated shape with a pointed front, and the surface of the ship was a metallic silver color that seemed to shimmer in the light.

The surface was smooth and seamless, with no visible seams or rivets. The ship had several large circular windows running along the sides that were tinted a deep blue.

The ship was enormous, dwarfing any known human-made spacecraft. It seemed to be at least several hundred meters in length and several stories tall. The size of the ship alone was intimidating, and it was clear that it was not of human origin. It had several protruding structures, including several large antennae and several smaller, pointed spires that seemed to serve as some kind of propulsion system.

As the ship landed, it emitted a low humming sound and a bright blue light that illuminated the surrounding area. The ship's landing gear extended from the bottom of the ship and settled firmly on the ground. The ship's hatch opened to reveal a ramp, and a group of strange-looking creatures emerged from within.

One man attempted to fight against the blue creature. Jumping on its shoulders and wrapping his hands around its neck. Yet he had been thrown to the ground so effortlessly like a rag doll. And without hesitation, the alien aimed the firing weapon at the man.

It was a sleek, elongated device that was held in the hand like a rifle. It had a matte black finish that seemed to absorb light, giving it a menacing appearance. The weapon had several small, glowing blue lights that were dispersed along the length of the barrel, indicating that it was powered on and ready for use.

The weapon had a unique, organic design that was unlike anything seen on Earth. It had several curved protrusions and indentations that seemed to serve as grips and controls for the alien operator. The trigger was located near the front of the weapon and was a small, circular button that was sensitive to the alien's touch.

When fired, the weapon emitted a bright blue beam of energy that was intense and hot to the touch. The beam was highly concentrated and had a visible energy field around it, giving the impression that it was a living thing.

Unknown to humans, The weapon also had the ability to fire a wide-spread blast that would affect a bigger area, but with less power and precision. The weapon was also equipped with a shield generator that would protect the user from counter-attacks, making it a formidable weapon in combat.

The alien weapon was highly advanced, and it was clear that it was the product of a highly advanced civilization. It was evident that it was not of human origin and was beyond human technology. The weapon was a display of the advanced technology that the aliens possessed and the potential destructive power they held.

As the creature fired the beam, eyes grew wide, and the approaching men who were prepared to fight back, slowly retracted.

There was only one option remaining.

RUN!

"Jessie! No!'' My father, hell bent on holding back my little brother, called out to me at the top of his voice. ''Come back!''

Yet i wouldn't listen, and neither would I sit back and watch them take my mother. There was an alien man holding what seemed to be a magic gun in his hand. In the other, he held my mother against the dirty wall of the old tunnels, somehow trying to pull of her dress.

Disgust etched on my face as I run towards them.

"Mother!'' I called, but she could barely hear me. Suddenly, as i suspended in mid air, I was picked up. My feet lifted from the ground as I tried fighting. The alien holding me by my neck looked down at me, his blue eyes lighting up with disgust. He aimed the weapon at my chest, both my parents suddenly called out to me.

I knew I was going to die. I wanted to die. Death was better than this hell.

But who would protect my family?

Suddenly, the weapon was fired, the ground shook, pain surged within me. It felt like someone had dug a hole into my chest. My breathing became ragged as I was dropped to the ground, a tear fell as my eyes slowly closed.

a distant voice, the last thing I heard before death, "Let me in, and I will save your world!''
