Chapter 4 - Irresistible Sin

The woman's smile widened, revealing a set of perfect, pearly white teeth. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she leaned closer to Quinn, her voice a sultry whisper.

"Oh, my dear Quinn," she purred, "I am Lilith, the Queen of Temptation, the Mistress of Forbidden Desires. I am what mortals fear and desire in equal measure."

Quinn's heart skipped a beat as he recognized the name. Lilith, the mother of all demons he has heard about. He remembered how they taught them in the temple concerning her, and how she had conquered kingdoms and worlds with just her beauty.

The mention of her name alone would set wars in many nations.

"Look at how pathetic you're in this miserable situation of yours. Caged and accused of what you never did," She spoke.

"I guess your mundane gods abandoned you. Perhaps they were sleeping when you called upon their name," she laughed, taunting him with her words.

Confused and horrified, Quinn couldn't believe that someone had the audacity to use vile words against the gods inside the temple. For it was considered a sin.

"What? How dare–"

Lilith gently placed her fingers on Quinn's lips, hushing him from saying anything further. She grabbed the collar of his shirt and lifted him from the floor before she comfortably sat him down on a chair.

She straddled Quinn, sitting on his lap and stroking his face gently, while her beautiful eyes lustfully scanned his features.

"There…There my little disciple, say no more," she seductively licked her lips, and suddenly a wave of calmness washes over Quinn.

Lilith leaned forward and placed her cold lips on his neck and kissed his warm skin.

For a fleeting moment, Quinn was lost between the world of fantasy and reality.

He was taught that it was a sacrilege for an aspiring priest who wants to become a mage to be found doing something so sinful and promiscuous.

But the way Lilith's gentle kiss melted the immovable mountains in his heart made him reconsider.

The worst part of it was that he had let her kiss him, forever lost in the ecstasy of her temptation.

"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned," Quinn whispered in his heart.

He still wanted to maintain his purity. He wanted to stay holy. And not even a kiss could take that way.

Never!

However, Quinn leaned his head backward, granting Lilith better access to his neck.

She sucked and nibbled at it, creating a large red bruise to appear on the side of his neck.

Quinn closed his eyes tightly as a moan escaped his lips. The sensations were sending his brain into overdrive, while Lilith continued nibbling his neck and held his body closer to her breast.

"Why have you answered my call, Lilith?" Quinn asked cautiously, breaking contact with her.

Lilith chuckled, her voice dripping with a mix of amusement and desire. "Oh, my dear Quinn, I couldn't resist the invitation you extended. Such audacity, such desperation. It intrigued me."

She paused, her eyes glimmering with a mixture of amusement and something darker. "But fear not, my dear. I can offer you what you seek. Power, revenge, and the chance to rewrite your fate."

Quinn's heart raced at the mention of power and revenge. It was the very essence of what he desired, but he couldn't help but question her intentions.

"Don't give me that look that will make me want to offer the world to you on a platter of gold," she said as if she had read his thoughts.

"You're the only mortal who has caught my attention after a millennium. Your personality intrigues me, Quinn."

"Let me not waste your time. If you think you're expecting any sort of thing from me, I'm afraid I have to disappoint you," her voice turned somber.

"Don't worry, you won't be getting rid of me anytime soon, My dove."

As soon as she finished speaking, a gentle wind blew into the cell, while the sigils on the floor shined brighter than they were.

"Wait–"

Before Quinn could finish what he wanted to say, Lilith vanished into thin air.

Quinn was left sitting in the empty cell, the only evidence of Lilith's presence being the tingling sensation on his neck and the faint echo of her laughter in his ears.

His mind was racing, trying to comprehend the encounter he had just experienced.

It felt like a dream, but the bruise on his neck and the rush of emotions coursing through him were all too real.

He couldn't deny how irresistible and beautiful she looked that almost made him want her.

Her offer was tempting, especially considering his current situation and the false accusations that had led to his imprisonment. But deep down, Quinn knew that succumbing to such desire comes at a great cost.

He had been raised to believe in the power of the gods and the teachings of the temple. The path of a priest and a mage was his calling, his purpose.

But with the way things seemed to be going, he wasn't that sure If what he had been taught in his whole life was true or a lie.

Quinn took a deep breath, trying to regain control of his thoughts. He assured himself that everything was okay.

The door of the cell where he had been kept captive swung open. Two mages entered inside. One of them bonded his hands with a special metal that was made in the form of a handcuff.

It was finally time…

It was either he defended himself, or die as a victim.

They forcefully pulled him out of the cell and pushed him forward to start walking.

His thoughts raced, and he realized that this might be his only chance to prove his innocence. The air was thick with tension as he stared into the eyes of his captors, their expressions cold and indifferent.

"Release me!" Quinn demanded, his voice filled with anger. "I am innocent! I have done nothing wrong!"

The mages remained silent, their grip tightening on his arms as they led him down the dimly lit corridor. The weight of injustice bore down on Quinn's shoulders, fueling his hate for all they did to him.
