"Accept self-healing and Kill Gregory." David whispered without thinking twice. He didn't believe it was real until Gregory stopped kicking him and then fell to the floor holding his heart.
"Nurse! Nurse!" The patients who saw the scene screamed at the top of their lungs. The nurses thought it was David that was dying hence they didn't answer.
Right beside David, Gregory spat out blood until their breath was no longer coming out of him.
Meanwhile, David started to feel better. His body didn't feel like ten thousand bricks anymore, the wound on his leg didn't hurt as much as before.
His eyes were heavy to open and his vision wasn't blurry at all. He could see where he was, he could move his neck around gradually.
"Self-healing completed!" The words are shown in front of David. As he saw them he thought that he was dreaming, perhaps he was dead and the universe was making fun of his miserable life.
Gently, he stood from the makeshift bed and then made his way to the bathroom. Everyone stared at him but said no word. They were scared that they would be like Gregory if they said a word to the man.
David went to the bathroom and cleaned himself up, he didn't still believe what was happening but he was making use of it. How could he stand? How could he move? He hadn't been bedridden for two months now and he thought he would die.
David thought he was already dead.
"David Bowie, choose your account details and fund it from your Dredon account." The voice sounded again in his head and then a huge screen appeared in front of him showing an account with countless zeros behind it. He couldn't even count it.
What is happening? David chuckled.
I am dreaming, he laughed.
"Fund your account now!" The voice sounded again.
David signed and chose his account reluctantly before pressing in one billion to he transferred into his new account. He didn't believe any of what was happening.
He was dead and the universe was playing a trick on him, that was what he believed.
After cleaning himself up, he decided to go to the bank. He would play the stupid games of the universe, he chuckled again. He didn't have any money to take a cab to the nearest but luckily there was an atm nearby.
"Argh, you stink!" A woman passing held her nose and looked at David with disgust. She spat on the floor and grumbled away.
David looked like a mad man, he only cleaned up a little and he still reeked. He went to the atm and used the thump option. David requested for two hundred dollars.
Suddenly the screen showed in front of him, and then the robotic voice sounded again.
"Reject, you are not poor!
Punishment; spend hundred million dollars before the end of today.
Consequence: Death!"
David widened his eyes. He was scared at first but when he thought about spending money without having to calculate, healthy goosebumps grew on his body.
He changed the number and requested for twenty thousand dollars. When the money came out he widened his eyes, he couldn't believe it.
David had no money in his account prior. His account was even blocked because he had never put a penny in it. He got paid daily, per hour - in cash.
His hands shook as the money grazed his hand. Then he took the money to his nostrils and sniffed it.
The smell of money was better than ten thousand fragrances joined together. The smell of money was filling, it makes one less hungry and less tasty. The smell traveled far into David's body and healed every weakness he had left.
He smiled and turned around.
Hailed a cab but none answered probably because of the way he looked. Everyone spat at him and covered their nose as they walked past him. However, David didn't care. He just wanted to take a cab away from the place.
"You look disgusting, you should walk up to the street and allow a car to walk over you freely. Do you think anyone in their right senses would allow you to enter their car? Do you even have the money to pay for a cab? Argh, men like you disgust me!" A lady who was also waiting for a can uttered beside him, she covered her nostrils as she hailed a taxi and then a taxi came and stopped for her.
David raised his lips and walked to the driver. By this time the woman had entered the cab.
"I will pay you five million dollars to throw this woman out of your cab and then take me to the nearest five-star hotel," David uttered with ego. He didn't even believe there was that side of him until now.
The driver's eyes lit up at the sound of money. But then he looked at David from head to toe, he didn't look like someone that has two cents.
"You actually believe this man, take a look at him. He looks like he has just been released from the psychiatric hospital!" The woman hissed.
"Yes, I don't believe you. You look like you cannot even afford a burger and coffee. Go away from my car." The driver snapped and then moved Donovan's arm which rested against his car window. He hissed in disgust, the reek of Donovan getting to his nostrils.
"Send me your cash app and I will prove it to you. I will give you twenty thousand dollars now in cash and the rest after you push her out of the car, into the mud." David removed the cash from his pocket and stretched it to the driver.
The man eyes widened, he had never seen that much cash money before. Even the lady was shocked, she had just insulted the man and told him to die.
"Wait, you don't believe him, do you? His money could be fake." The lady started to utter as the driver got out of the car. Without hesitating, he pushed the lady out of the car - into the mud.
Her body hit the floor with a loud stud, and mud-stained her white shirt. She looked like she was going for a job interview. David smiled with satisfaction, it was good to revenge when people say bad words to you, he was now in that position.
"Please sit, sir!" The driver bowed his head and then David entered the car with all glory.
For the first time in his life he was addressed with respect. He loved it. He wanted more.
