After several turns, I finally was able to distance my car a few metres away from the blazing speed of the constables vehicles and the raged drones, chasing after us.
"Yolla, activate invisibility mode." I commanded my car's AI voice command.
As Yolla activated the invisibility mode, I manoeuvred my car backwards, right to one corner of the alley, then slowly turned off its engine.
"Invisibility mode, activated." Yolla informed in a robotic female voice.
"What the hell is happening?" The woman beside me, snapped. I glanced at her and met her joint eyebrows and confused look with a roughened and inflamed expression on my face.
"I could ask you the same. Do you not think so?" I snapped back at her. Which, she regarded with an uneasy look as she lowered her gaze on her lap and turned to look forward to the street. Whereas, the constables sped past us, as though they have not seen the car parked just right before them. Likewise, the drones moved through the air, advancing in our direction with a distinctive bearing of an extreme speed.
"The drones, they are advancing towards us. Do something or else they're going to kill us!" The woman exclaimed at me as her eyes widened by the vast number of armed drones charging in our direction.
"Spill out your name, woman." I demanded at her. I am about to lose my patience in accord to her nonstop utterances. It's torture to my ears. Let alone, exasperation came into existence in my being. "Stare at me incredulously once again, and I assure you I will throw you out to the raged drones out there." I threatened the woman beside me as she shot me an incredulous look, in regards to my demand to her.
"Dyana. That's my name." Diana hesitantly uttered.
"Well, Dyana, your silence will be much appreciated as though my focus is well disturbed and terribly distracted by your silly mouth." I snapped at her as I rubbed the bridge of nose in frustration, whilst directing my eyes to the flying drones. She did not say anything in contradiction, rather, she likewise focused her eyes on the drones that have stopped in front of my car, as they scanned the whole area with their alert cameras and their striking red lasers.
Although the drones have night visions and sensors that can detect something material that may be perceived by the senses even being out of sight or not readily apparent, still my car was made protected, having a high degree of resistance to their faculty of perceiving by means of machine and programme based discreetness. Thanks to my broad knowledge of modern technology, I was able to work out a sequence of operations to be performed by my AI, Yolla, quite partly or totally unlike in nature, form, and quality from other automated vehicles.
After a minute or two, the drones finally abandoned the alley, unsuccessful in detecting us. They retreated in an act of moving swiftly to the other course on which something is moving or is aimed to move.
"We're safe now." I sighed in relief. "Yolla, manoeuvre the car back home. I'd appreciate if you would be susceptible of circumspection as to danger or risk." I instructed.
"Copied, mavin K." Yolla regarded. Now, driving at forty kilometres per hour speed, way home, mavin K."
"Will you stop calling me that? It's uncomfortable to hear." I snapped at Yolla.
"Yes, mavin K." Yolla mended.
I rolled my eyes in regards to Yolla's stubbornness. She might be an artificially intelligent, but then, she was programmed to understand and act like one real human being. However, she does not acquire a body, for she was designed to be a sound resembling or suggesting vocal utterance.
"What's mavin K even means, anyway?" Dyana spoke for the first after I shut her up.
"I do not think I am obliged to discuss that matter to you, Dyana." I prickly replied. I laid my back on my driver's seat quite comfortably as I took the piece of cloth that I made as a mask, off my face. Whilst, letting Yolla automatically take over my car. "Now, would you mind explaining the whole thing to me? I want every piece of detail. Leave anything and I guarantee you death even more inhumane to the constables ways." I warned her, as though I meant everyone I said. Surely, I meant it halfway, however, I am no onerous of a woman. Only depends on what situation I am in.
Before Dyana started, I heard her let out a deep sigh, to which made me look on her way and I saw how her eyes drastically dropped on her dirty hands. "My father died last week and he had inherited me a large sum of money, however, my older brother stole it under my name. He's one of the apt hackers of the Justice Agency of the government and so, it was a piece of cake for him. This morning, I discovered that he was the one who was responsible for our father's death." Dyana cried.
Well, it's going to be a tragic and vengeful story, I thought. I spared Dyana a look and lightly tapped her by the shoulder, nodding at her. "You do not need to continue if it's hard for your part." I consoled her.
She looked at me and offered a light smile, and continued. "No, it's fine." She wiped the falling tear off her cheek. "As I was saying, I discovered that my brother killed our father with his own hands and concealed his own crime. So, I rushed into his office in the Justice Agency, earlier before I bumped into you. I confronted him, and when he confessed his reason for killing dad, which was all about having his wealth, I felt raged to the bones that I wanted to kill him. I stabbed him with the pen on his desk. Sadly, it only dug in his palm as he was able to stop it." She paused.
"That's tragic. Let me guess, he called the guards on you and had you arrested. However, you tricked them for who knows how, is that it?" I interjected.
"Quite. My sandals slipped off my feet whilst I was running away and since I was desperate to live and get back to my brother, I shamelessly hid inside the bin. That's where I was untidied. When I was sure that I have lured them away, I ran my way home. However, luck did its trick on me and had me caught in sight by the constables. Thus, people barged as a crowd in the supermarket, I considered it as a good idea to have them lost. And, that's the story of how I bumped into you." She ended her sentiments in a proud light bow of head.
I was lost of words for a moment. I could not fathom how tragic it would have been for Dyana. Somehow, I felt hatred towards her brother, given that he works at the Justice Agency and yet he's know no justice at all.
"I could exterminate him on your behalf." I randomly enunciated to her.
