The next day, a beautiful well-proportioned woman enters the war-torn city. "Hey! Can someone help me? I was told to meet a dealer. Name's…uh." As she searches through several files. "Grenit? Grenit Deep?! Anyone around here?!" She notices there's not much left to communicate with. An old tower has a dilapidated structure that is now a nest for baby dragons. An old watering hole that has rotting carcasses, a small lamp that lies below the tower and a beaten path with large footsteps. "Surely." She thought. "This must be the right way!" She hums along and strolls past the watering hole towards the tower. Her head held high as she proudly jaunts. "Hmmm hmm hhmmmm hmmmmm!" One foot after the other she reaches her destination. Just before she can approach the tower, she notices a large dark pit at the base of the tower. "Ooooooo, swanky office! Heehee!" She proudly steps forward…the wind blowing in her hair. She takes a pause to dust off her tattered dress. A small tote at her voluptuous hips, a small rusty blade and a desire to get the job of her dreams. "Ohhhh. I know I can do it! Lemme take these off…just in case." She shimmies out of her underwear and cuts her legs enough to allow a small blot of blood. "Maybe I can act like I got beat up! Or shit, maybe I let him have some…" She takes the blot of blood and dabs some on her lips. She tightened the Velcro strap that secured her breasts and give them a tug. She gleans into the open pit and feels the warm breeze emitting from within. She straightens her crimson hair and opens her hand. She strokes herself to ease the anxiety and rubs her secretions on her dress. "This oughtta do it!"
She takes a deep breath and ventures onward.
Beyond her sight is a steep curve leading to the base of the pit. Inside is a equestrian-type beast known as a Kelpie. It resides in dark, cavernous areas to get away from alien poachers. It's dark blue fur lights up as her footsteps draw near. Its darkened eyes widen and begins emitting electrical impulses that temporarily light the surroundings.
With each spark, the being slowly stands before her.
"You. There. Stop!" The creature demanded. "How DARE you intrude upon me! I shall lay you low!" The angry creature bristled with energy. It made its armor-plating double as the air fills with static electricity that pops and hisses about the chamber.
The woman looks at the creature with overwhelming fear. She flops to the ground as her tattered dress exposes her long legs. She inches backwards as the creature draws near.
"St-st-stay back!" She began to stutter as she cringes. She brings her knees toward her head and cowers. The creature creeps towards her. "Ahhh, you must be the folly girl. The one from T'ana 9. You here to fetch your caller?"
Just then, she raises her head.
"This the one?"
The beast opens his mouth and spits out the somewhat digested remains of the job recruiter.
Name tag and heavily-chewed suit with matching briefcase included. He certainly was a dapper being.
Her eyes swell with tears as she realizes her fate has come to this. She raises her hands to her mouth and cries for mercy.
"Please! Just…just give me a chance to tell you why I'm here?!?"
The creature smirks as his eyes light up the area surrounding them. Just to his right is something…standing…very still.
A small crunch can be heard in that direction as if something was tiptoeing nearby.
The creature raises his head abruptly and sends a pulse of energy shockwave in that direction.
"Now!"
The girl gets to her feet and runs back towards the entrance.
The creature turns back to his prey and begins to chase. As the enemy shortens the distance between them, an electrical pulse is discharged. The moisture is the air becomes an electrical field that shocks and burns everywhere in its path. The Kelpie turns to avoid the attack but is severely burned on its back legs and torso.
"Arghgh! Foul BITCH?!? You TRICKED me?!"
The girl gathers herself and walks back towards the targeted beast.
"Why…of course I did, darling."
The creature, unable to move, looks on in fear as she raises her weapon.
One clean shot to end its life.
"Hmmmpf!" She smirks as she gathers his lifeforce.
"Who's the BITCH now…"
In the background, a sarcastic applause can be heard. Slowing clapping and then abruptly stopping, the sound is followed by a bellowing voice.
"Wellll done. Well done indeed. In fact, I'd like to congratulate the Emissary. Why? If not for his sacrifice, you would've never caught the beast!"
His teeth bore with an angry snarl.
"Now. How about MY prize, hmmm?"
"See?! I told ya I could do it!" She jumps a bit and quickly attempts to dust herself off.
"Hmmmm? A fine aroma you have there! What ever do you call it?"
She takes a deep breath. Forgetting about the pheromones she displaced on her clothing. The shadowy figure slides behind her and strokes her face and hair.
"Ohhhh! I thought I recognized it! Clever witch aren't you? You were going to seduce the fallen emissary in hopes of what exactly?"
"I was—promised a promotion…I was just gonna ask him about any openings."
"Openings, you say? In these lands, the only openings are sacrificial lambs. It's an equal opportunity position." He says with such melancholy as he sharpens his claws.
"I would be moreeeee than happy…to GIVE IT to you…"
As he draws nearer, the young witch can feel her dress inching upward. She takes a deep gulp and closes her eyes.
"Are—-you the true emissary? The one in charge of promotin' and all?!"
She turns her head a bit as the being takes advantage of her.
